I was originally going to say Alkenstar, but I remembered that upcoming module. So, I really wanna see something with Galt as well as Arcadia. Especially Arcadia! I've been wanting content for that land as much as I've been hoping for Numeria (which has already become a reality) I hear that the Skinwalker has ties to Arcadia at least.

Now that they exist, I'd love a Kaiju themed AP.

Time travel. Have the pcs unwittingly try to stop or be the cause of one of the major events in the history of Inner Sea/Golarion.

A mythic sequel to RotRL when one or more of the Rune Lords make their presence known.

With or without giant constructs that have a neural interface? (I'm not the first to want a Pacific Rim reference in Pathfinder, after all!)

MYTHIC SEQUEL TO CARRION CROWN WITH AT LEAST 2 ADVENTURES SET IN BASTARD HALL AND A FIGHT VS TAR-BAPHON AT THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or just a Bastard Hall tour de force Mega Dungeon

Verdant Wheel

A Dante's Inferno type adventure path where the group has to walk all the way from Avernus to Nessus.

Uphill* in the snow the whole way!

It's actually harder work to walk downhill, but who cares - that doesn't sound as good.

Dark Archive

As stated before I would like to see a Geb & Nex AP, as well as a Nirmathas/ Molthune AP, and a Dwarven centered AP focusing on the regions of Five King Mountains/ Realm of the Mammoth Lord.

A kingmaker style AP set in Druma, except instead of building a Kingdom, you build a merchant empire.

A Kaiju themed AP would be awesome.

How about: To Slay A God?

The AP would consist of the PCs gradually building up to finally destroying Rovagug once and for all. They'd do it piecemeal- destroying enclaves of cultists, artifacts and relics sacred to Rovagug; eventually destroying his remaining spawn. Then, when he's at his weakest, they'd go into the Pit of Gormuz itself and finally eliminate Rovagug in an epic confrontation.

(Among other things that could be done with this AP, we might finally get more info on Casmaron.)

The Exchange

An AP that isn't about a particular area of Golarion (similarly to how Second Darkness was not about anywhere in Golarion, and Reign of Winter).

An urban AP set in a city that is different enough from both Korvosa and Westcrown would be really, *really* good to see.

It's been 3 years since my group has played Kingmaker, they are chomping at the bit for a new kingdom building AP. I don't think it matters where it is. As a group we would buy and play it immeidatly, I don't think anything else would generate that kind of excitment.

Exploring and Colonizing the continent of Arcadia.

Or exploring the bigger part of the Qadiran empire.

A mythic level sequel to RotRL and SS in which you fight Sorshen.

Galt AP would be excellent. Vudran AP would be excellent. Casmaron or Arcadia-visiting AP would be excellent. Although it would probably piss off all the hardcore european historical simulationists who resent Weeabo Animu crap, I'd love to see an AP start and finish in Tian Xia.

Just as a curiosity, why do the PCs explore and colonize Arcadia, but only explore Qadira/The Padishah Empire of Kelesh?

Most likely because The Padishah Empire is really old and hence his assumption that it has already been colonized, of course he is very much wrong on that;)

also thats just my assumption, i could be wrong:)

The problem with a 'colonize and explore Arcadia' AP is that it carries a lot of unpleasant associations with the colonization of America, which involves a real-life genocide and marginalization of the indigenous people.

Paizo Employee Developer

Which is precisely my point and something I don't want to see happen with Arcadia. Thank you.

America was open for colonization due to decimation (in modern and not original sense of the world) of population due to diseases. World could look completely different if Native Americans would possess resistance to European diseases - different pattern of colonization could prevent creation of USA and Canada, at least in the form they have in our timeline.

I like explorer strange "new" lands well least new too those cultures that "discovered" them;)

On the other hand no one said that Arcadia will be open to mass colonization at all. I don't recall any mentions of explicit technological and magical superiority of Avistan over Arcadia that would allow for domination over native population.

I was thinking about the sensitivity issues around a AP where Arcadia gets colonized. There are many ways that this can be handled.

• Not allow the natives to be steam rolled, in effect the natives are as powerful as the invaders.

• The natives can be orcs, goblins, mi-go or something else that in inherently evil.In fact the colonization can be an effort to unite the enslaved good people who have already been overthrown by mi-go or something else from outer space, or deep underground (Drow?)

• Arcadia invades first and the colonization is a reaction to the initial attack.

• It isn’t a colonizing AP at all it’s a kingdom building from within. Remember the Lakota/Sioux invaded and conquered neighboring Indian nations when they mastered horseback riding, in fact one of the reasons the Indian tribes had problems uniting against the white man was many other Indian tribes did not trust the Lakota.

Well could make it that you just a ship or couple of ships of people trying to escape to the new world to live in peace. But must survive the dangers and make allies with the more "friendly" natives to last. So your not building a kingdom or empire your just trying to survive the dangers of a new land and whatever your small group of people are running from.

The Golden Path!
Qadira -> Casmaron -> Vudra

How about A Casmaron AP where players find out they are a potential heir to the throne of the Padishah Emperor?

I'd also like to see an Oceans 11 style AP in which the characters plan, organize, and pull off the heist of the century by stealing the secret recipe for the sun orchid elixir.

The first 4 books would feature the characters gathering the supplies, info, contacts, and experience needed to break into the Citadel of the Alchemist, all the while dodging various agents from Thuvia who seek to stop them. The 5th book details the heist and presents various ways the characters could sneak in to get the recipe and than sneak out and the 6th book details how the characters are able to evade the various factions that go after them to recover the elixir and how they get away with it for good.

Something in the Underdark or a redo of the Second Darkness.

Liberty's Edge

Now that I've gotten the high-level AP I was clamoring for (Wrath of the Righteous) and the Numeria-centric AP I never thought would happen (Iron Gods), I would love to see a Call of Cthulhu inspired Mythos based game. Perhaps not straight Lovecraft/CoC since so many characters die and go insane it's kind of difficult to get into but certainly a Pathfinder take on the whole thing.

As far as a lot of the ideas that have been thrown around in this thread I think that many of them, while perhaps not as suited to an AP or simply unlikely to dominate six months worth of products I think the new super modules would be perfect fits.

I wouldn't mind a decolonization of Isger AP, with side trips to Druma and maybe Five Kings mountains. Done right, it would offer a high-level hook-in to Council of Thieves and a war on Cheliax, for those so inclined, without having to change the cannon Cheliax. All the anti-goblin action would probably also offer something to the folks looking for a dwarf AP, as well.

I'd find this acceptable if the PCs are Arcadians resisting an invasion of Avstanis. Otherwise, the theme still hits on really disturbing topics.

Making the native arcadians "inherently evil" savages DOES NOT MAKE THIS BETTER. (Orcs, goblins, etc. are not inherently evil, just predominantly evil, but that's beside the point.)

Quote:

Eh, maybe. If the theme of the AP is not colonization but establishing a breach-head to combat a serious threat.

Yes, an arcadian AP where the PCs are arcadians or are working on the behest of arcadian nations would avoid the unpleasantness. This would be one way to do a sandbox-style AP set in Arcadia that wouldn't squick people out.

That sound awesome (check out the novel The Worldwound Gambit for another take on Ocean's 11 in Golarion) but I think it might not represent enough material to be a full AP. Sounds like a good plot for a 64-page module, however.

An AP that touches upon Arcadia would be wonderful! But yeah, no colonization implications. That was tried with Maztica... and it was a big mistake. Perhaps there's a inter-tribal war brewing, and various factions across the puddle catch wind in effort to exploit it (Sounds like something up Cheliax' alley) Perhaps a trade expedition goes awry and you're stranded in Arcadia; meaning you'll have to earn your keep lest be prisoners for violating the locals' terms. Maybe it's hopping between various tribes (a chance to explore the various cultures in the Americas), teaming up with locals to stop some sort of outside invasive force... or something. But, if there must be colonization stuff... let's not have it as a copy-paste from history.

But I digress, more support for Arcadia would be wonderful. As mentioned (and I think I said), I'd like to see more Galt and more Tian Xia. That or as a spelljammer/planescape nut, some more dealing with the cosmos/planes themselves.

Adam Daigle wrote:

Another reason I think things like that come about is Paizo felt the need to throw everything and the kitchen sink as far as real world influences into Golarion while also making the majority of things a practical expy of real world areas, geography, people, and cultures only with magic in them. Things like that could have been avoided if Golarion was more original and unique I think. As an example I don't really feel like I would be going off on a limb if assume Arcadia will have Native American type people and cultures in it even though almost nothing has been written about it yet. That's just from past things Paizo has done. I'm thinking it's a pretty safe bet.

It could also be pointed out that similar things have already happened, like with Cheliax and Sargava. When so many things in Golarion already follow real world aspects in ways that can't be coincidence it isn't hard to see people continuing to think along those lines just as a logical connection to that. In some ways it's partly Paizo's own fault.

I do admit though I say that as somebody that has that as one of my gripes of Golarion as a setting.

Adam, what about "colonization" in the sense of establishing a single town to serve as a trading post and entrepot to further exploration/interaction, without the intention of conquering vast swathes of land and/or displacing natives? This is the sense that Macau or Hong Kong was colonized -- the Portuguese and British didn't move on to subdue the whole of China. I think players might enjoy the challenge of setting up a settlement on foreign shores and encouraging both native and foreign traders and diplomats to come and do business there, especially if a system were established to calculate the conflicting desires of a dozen different stakeholders on both sides of the ocean.

Seeing as how a coalition of all the gods couldn't pull that off, I think that's far beyond the scope of what PCs can be expected to accomplish.

However, setting the same sights lower, what about, say, Achaekek? He's a legitimate deity, yes, but a minor one, and removing him could set the stage for the matriculation of a far more interesting and dynamic figure into the role of patron of assassins and thieves: Nocticula.

Because, frankly, Achaekek is boring and his assassins turning into giant insects is more silly than intimidating.

I would like a battle against the Spawn of Rovagug AP.

But I have to demands to make of it-

-Take a page out of what is working with Way of the Wicked, people clearly want to be able to play evil characters and its hard in most campaigns to make that work with any sort of party cohesion. BUT I suggest that instead of making this campaign about Good vs Evil to make it more about the law vs chaos. Restrict players from playing chaotic characters, but allow them to play anything else, including evil. This could still be a problem for some gaming groups, some people just can't play evil and not ruin the game, but you could offer the option to restrict evil characters but make it known that THIS is the game where you can play an evil character and work alongside good and neutrals in order to stamp out CHAOS.
-Set nearly all of the AP in the outer planes. Allow characters to visit some of the incredible and dangerous places that are touched on in the chronicles. A campaign where we could visit Hell, Heaven, where ever Inevitables are from! The Center of the Material world and Rovagug's prison!
-The players are all maybe working for some Inevitable or angel or devil, or an alliance among certain lawful groups who see some sort of festering happening to Rovagug.
-Use Mythic tiers, this seems like a given. I don't feel like we need every campaign to be mythic now, but i certainly do feel like there should be more than one AP option for this product. Plus, killing Spawn of Rovagug and who knows what else? (Lots of Qlippoths and Proteans!)

I know that this doesnt exactly scream GOLARION! but Golarion is just as much the outer planes as it is the material plane. There's so much written about them, it seams like a waste to not really go for it and try something off the wall.

Having an issue trying to differentiate the Kajji that have become all the current fad since Mythic Realms came out with the Spawn of Rovagug which in my mind were already Golarion's answer to Godzilla.
