For generations, all information from the mysterious period in Starfinder history known as The Gap has been lost. And now? Well, it's still lost. This April 1st, take a peek into Paizo's latest Starfinder tome to reveal: nothing!

That's right, this book is BLANK. We repeat: THERE IS NOTHING WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK... yet! We may not be willing to divulge the secrets of The Gap, but we are willing to go a long way for an April Fool's joke. This is a real hardcover book containing 160 pages of blank matte paper, perfect for concocting your own theories about what may have transpired during the missing years between Golarion and Absalom Station.

Written by: Nobody! Seriously, it's blank.

Note: Due to the limited nature of this release, it is currently restricted to one copy per customer.

Exactly as described

5/5

There have been many RPG books that make many bold claims before, but not a single one has lived up to them in quite the way that this one has. Truly redefines what an RPG book can be and I'm excited to see what is to come.

Excellent Quality

5/5

At last, all the secrets of The Gap are mine! Infinite knowledge at my fingertips! The possibilities are endless! :D

But for real, the hardcover quality and the interior matte paper quality are excellent, really looking forward to using this as a campaign journal.

You'd be a Fool not to Buy!

5/5

At first I was confused, not sure if this is meant to be an SF1E or SF2E product, but honestly it doesn't matter. You can use 100% of the content in this book in both systems, making it perfectly compatible with which ever edition you want to play. For that matter, everything in this book can go straight into your game of D&D 5E, any OSR system you'd care to name, Fate and its related systems; heck, everything in this book works great in Clue!

TL;DR: A perfect score for perfect compatibility.

More importantly, is it part of the Starfinder Subscription since there's a... Gap in publications? ;>

This product is clearly a joke, but let's look at it from a practical perspective:
Do you know how many times I've written ideas, notes, and more in spiral-bound notebooks, only for them to get accidentally crumpled (or worse, crushed) when I'm loading my backpack after a session?
And even nicer, hardcover journals - those are rarely the same dimensions as the other books on my bookshelf, making them stick out (or rather, being smaller, they get pushed back and hidden) when displayed alongside the other campaign books.
This notebook will be perfect for all sorts of stuff! (That is, if I can ever convince myself to use it...)
In other words, this is the best, *practical* joke I've seen in quite some time.

And now for the most important question of all, will this be published under the orc license?

Serious question... how big is the book? Is it the normal 8.5x11, or is it smaller? Because that's a pretty fair price for an 8.5x11 hardcover 160-page journal.

According to our measurements, the book should be 8.75"x11.25" on the cover, but I believe the paper inside is 8.5"x11".

Thank you! And... ordered!

Yeah, I should have put an "-ish" when I listed the sizes. I don't have an actual book in front of me to measure right now. But I wanted to be sure it wasn't, like 5x7-ish in size.

Paper is 8 3/8" by 10 7/8" wood free unprinted 80 gsm. 80 gsm is roughly equivalent to 50 lb paper.

Our normal books and modules use 95 gsm (60 lb) glossy coated paper, so this is slightly lighter weight but also not coated so more useful as a sketch book or notebook.

Okay, actually serious, would love to see The Gap turned into a permanent product of some sort. If it's half decent paper, then it's a good price for a sketchbook of this size and pretty comparable to what I normally pay for my larger ones.

It's coming! :-)

PDF version should be ready! It isn't a subscription product, so it won't be granted automatically upon purchase of the physical version. However, it's marked as free so you should be able to check out with it as a free product any time.

A couple things to note: 1) it may take a while to go all the way through the tubes, so if you initially have problems downloading it (small file that won't open), please give it a bit of time and go through all the recommended steps like hitting the "refresh your downloads" button and clicking the "Problems Downloading?" link before contacting Customer Service about the issue.

2) I told our system not to watermark this PDF and it went ahead and watermarked it anyway. So yes, each page currently does have *some* writing on it... We'll see what we can do about that.
