Do we have an ETA for the PDF of the Playtest rulebook? The other ones are up.

So, I noticed that you picked up a second edition book that doesn't seem to be announced yet. I could make out the word "Contact," but it was a tad blurry.

Any comments?

I'm getting ready to run book 2 of Devastation Ark. One of the encounters calls for a Gargantuan-size Giant (Eclipse Giant). Obviously, there is NOT a pawn for this. Since my google-fu is failing me, does anyone have options for a "Gargantuan Giant"?

* I'm OK with it not being exact
* I do not have the ability to 3D print
* Pre-painted preferred

Anyone have any ideas, or am I just going to have to use a plush Skittermander as a stand-in?

Thanks in Advance

As I feel that RPGs are actually UNDERPRICED considering the value, I'm fine with this.

If you can get that working, even imperfectly (it took ages for Foundry to handle Alchemy properly), you'll be my hero. I don't really like Foundry and the lack of character import is killing my players every time I host a game on Roll20.

I've basic info, attributes, and Skills working.

I'm building feats section right now.

Next is Armor/weapons/magic.

The JSON export for foundry make is very easy to do. I hope to have a Beta version live next week.

Nothing particular, but I will point out that higher level chars are harder to find/make.

Right now, I'm mainly looking for variety.

Probably speaking the obvious but you shouldn't ignore the tablet version of pathbuilder. Perhaps read in the JSON files currently generated for foundry?

The Table/Web point to the same DB from what I can tell. It shouldn't matter which I use. The link to the character is easier than requesting specific JSON since many people are not that technical. My goal for a lot of the helper stuff I'm building is to make tech more transparent.

Also, from what I could tell, the "Foundry Export" (which I clicked on first) doesn't give you a nice file to copy|paste but seems to require a link to a Foundry instance. This is a non-starter for my purposes and why I'm not looking at Foundry. I'm building a solution for all Roll20 users (not just me).

Oh, and also I'm using the Web version. It's easier to pull JSON in and out of.

Oh, and yes, I **WILL** be testing Tablet support as well - I just need a starting point.

**EDIT**
OK, I'm an idiot. I misunderstood the UI. Using the JSON you have indicated is exactly what I was intending to do. It's just easier getting the link that asking for the JSON (where a bad copy|paste can set me back)

Hey all,
I'd like to have some links to Pathbuilder characters to open in the web interface. As many links as possible - any ancestery/background/class welcome!

WHY?

I'm working on a Roll20 import routine for Pathbuilder characters. To do this, I need example characters (the more variety/complexity the better). It's not hard to do, I just need a lot of sample data.

Again, any kind of PF2 character will do.

Thanks!

P.S. Just use Foundry posts will be ignored.

I'm trying to set up Roll20 for my group to run Devastation Ark.

However, unlike other APs - This is one where there were issues with encoding the PDFs. Now, I'm trying to extract maps/images for Roll20 and I'm unable to get anything from them.

Is there any chance that the images can be released for VTT use since the module isn't available for Roll20?

Disclaimer: Before reading any further - I am NOT an employee of Roll20 NOR of Paizo. I'm a guy doing this in my free time. Apologies if this post isn't permitted.

Hey all,
I published an API script for Roll20 premium subscribers (Guidance - it's in one-click) and have volunteered to work on maintaining the Starfinder (Simple) character sheet as the original author is stepping away (HUGE applause to Acyd69 for creating it). I wanted to see if anyone had any pain points in GMing/Playing Starfinder on Roll20 that I might be able to build tools to help.

Currently, Guidance allows GMs to quickly import stat blocks of both ships and NPCs into the Simple Sheet. I'm currently trying to reverse engineer the official Roll20 Starfinder sheet to get it working there too, but it's a little trickier and time consuming.

I know there is a lot more to Starfinder rules than I know, so I figured I'd ask here. Note, I can't do remote lookups; i.e. I can't make calls to data sources/websites outside of Roll20 itself.

Let me know below!

Thanks!

P.S. If anyone with coding knowledge wants to pitch in and help - feel free to reach out to me! I can use all the help I can get!

P.P.S. I currently have a few outstanding bugs/feature gaps around Starship and handling NPC multi-attacks. I hope to fix them before PaizoCon.

Aeons in the Drift.

Did anyone else have players who totally steamrolled this? The Azlanti were zero threat to them. Should I have not let them spend their build points before the module?

Just curious.

Oh and Jason, Chapter 2 and 3 of this book of the AP are my absolute FAVORITE of the AP. I love the portrayal of civilization that devolved to hunter/gatherer.

I've have written a bit of code for parsing Starfinder statblocks for Roll20. To assist in debugging, where can I find the standardized template/layout for character/ship statblocks?

I've inferred most of it, but knowing the exact keywords, ";" locations, and order would be VERY helpful in getting it right.

Noticed that all the images are multi-part images. So you need to stitch them together before they are usable. This goes for the revised #34 as well as revised #31, #32 and #33.

Is this a deliberate change?

Yeah, it makes it hard to throw pictures up on Roll20.

Returning to bi-monthly?

Is Starfinder not doing well sales wise?

I'd be concerned about that too, except they said that in the months there was no AP volume, they'd have standalone modules. I suspect they are going with this because:

1. On the PF side, the individual modules are doing well
2. A single module is a LOT easier to develop and support than an entire Adventure path.

Considering SF is my favorite offering from Paizo, I'd hope it was doing well.

So in flipping through the rules (so excited BTW), there something I want to see that isn't clear.

I'll put it this way...

How does a Robotech Valkyrie/Veritech punching the Sunrise Maiden work?

I don't care if it's an efficient way of attacking, I want to know.

Nitpick question.
Reading book 1 has me a bit troubled with “Song”. Yes, each sapient is their own being, and not the “stereotype” but he breaks the mold to the point of contradiction.

1. Androids are described as seeming unemotional, but he is quick to anger.
2. In Dead Suns, the android owner of the five arches is described as not being a good cook due to a muted sense of taste.

If I were to run this, I could easily explain it away or just ignore it, but Im wondering if this was an oversight, intentional, or telling me “repeat to yourself its just a show, I should really just relax.”

Thoughts?

So, I've signed up for Gen Con slots and started getting ready for sign in sheets when I realized something.

When you sign in, you enter your character number well before the con.

Well, what if I have a character I've signed up to play for most of the weekend and then

1st Game Thursday DEATH (for the sake of argument, say I can't raise them).

Do I just start off the next game saying to the GM, "Yeah, that character died, I HAVE to switch!"
