EbonFist and fern are available as backups, but it would be good to know in advance if there are times that they should try to make themselves available. I will be good, thankfully. The most is that I *might* be busy on the July 4th weekend, but as of now there is no plans so it's hard for me to say at the moment, should be good on my end! So far, I have not begun the scenario formally, I simply have set a simple scene for people to introduce characters optionally should they want to to get the ball rolling and have done to hit the ground running on the 26th, all ready to go on my end otherwise!

Yeah it’s…not great, at all. I’m especially disappointed at the lack of acknowledgement of it. You’d think there would have been an announcement, some sort of explanation. When is it reasonable for prices to DOUBLE and content to HALVE in the span of just one year? After how long I spent in Sagamore last year, I’m not likely to spend any time there except for one of the specials (and even then I might not even go for that much. I’m still debating at this point) and that’s just so horribly bittersweet At least if one wants to play Pathfinder, both editions, there is a lot of people who are offering their own games independent from Paizo’s offerings which run at 4$ per game
Thank you for celebrating! The situation in the world at large is scary. In the united states at least, the fight against trans rights is fierce, and horrible moves were made even as recently as yesterday. And while I may not be trans myself, I am a staunch ally and I wish you all trans, nonbinary and nonconforming people happiness and I'm ready to fight alongside you -- your only "crime" is trying to find yourself and try to belong somewhere Stay strong, YOU MATTER!

I'm fine with a higher price and a period of exclusivity, but limiting their availability is a bit too much abuse of Fear of Missing Out for my taste. While the blog doesn't say, the STLs released for their crowdfunding-tribe-thing in MyMiniFactory last year and the STLs for the Pathfinder Quest minis are available for purchase here in their MyMiniFactory store. So I think we can probably expect most of them to get released later on. Now those exclusive loyalty ones maybe won't, which goes to your point of being FOMO-driven, but there is that

I see our Xulgath friends are joining the fight for good! I mean I'd love a playable Xulgath though I think they just made a mistake lol
Good luck solving this! This is actually identical to the problem I had when I subscribed to get Season of Ghosts, and it wasn't really actually resolved (ordered the book manually and CS gave me the PDF weeks later), this time since it seems to be happening en masse I'll wait and hopefully fingers crossed it can work this time But to +1 the situation with my own anecdote, subscriptions haven't actually worked for me at all since the website change, it's always one problem or another, but it's definitely not my card as I'm able to do normal orders here

You might be right in the money. Same situation happened to me exactly. In the time since I tried re-adding the payment, the system suddenly added the product I had subscribed for (seasons of ghosts) and just added it to my cart just out of nowhere (I have never put it in my cart before). I removed it, then it got added again. I took it as maybe a sign I was supposed to order it manually to kickstart this to work and so I did and it just took it as a normal order, so I’m just waiting for support with help on that

In the past, I've gotten answers from them almost always same day, one day later at worst. I sent them an email I think either Monday and Tuesday and still haven't heard back, that's why I was asking cause it's actually pretty unusual in my experience. My first thought was that the system had changed with the new website and they didn't actually get my email

Excellent! Thank you for letting me know, I'll keep waiting, no need to send duplicate tickets. Thank you and hope you can keep yourself warm with the upcoming cold!
Maya Coleman wrote: You can find Customer Support here, Rodger! Put in a new support ticket to reach them directly! Is this a new way of doing support? I sent an email a couple days back as I needed help with a purchase and I've been waiting for a few days, I'm not sure if that's because I'm supposed to use this now or if because y'all are busy, I don't want to be sending duplicate tickets! I got ID 262241 and everything seemed to be working as usual

It just seems so random and honestly silly to do this. The 1-2 range has exactly 6 scenarios so it feels like they planned this out then suddenly there’s too many for 3-4? I don’t know much about scenario writing but 21 and 22 are still 5 months away. Surely they could be tweaked to be 5-6 instead and allow the entire metaplot to be done with one character, right? I dunno. I was very invested in both the metaplot and my character’s personal story within it so it just feels really deflating
Hey! Wanted to begin the post by congratulating all of the writers of the current Starfinder Society year. It's been fantastic, going from interesting mysteries and amazing races, but my favorite has definitely been the metaplot. The Wreck of the Returned is so interesting and I've been loving playing through it, this is a really great time to begin playing Starfinder in my opinion. So that's kind of why I wanted to ask about this because it makes me a bit sad! By my count, there seems to be 8 3-4 metaplot scenarios! Is this a mistake? There is exactly 6 1-2 ones so my assumption was that the team had orchestrated this to be playable as a nice campaign of sorts where you can experience the entire story with one character, but then there's too many 3-4 ones to do that! I am hoping that this is a mistake and maybe 21 and 22 are supposed to be 5-6, so I figured I'd ask! While we are on this topic, is there plans to release 5-6 scenarios this year? I though with how you can start at higher levels, we'd see a mix of both, but really seems to mostly be in the 1-4 range. Thank you, and have happy holidays!

I hope everyone loves them as much as I do and is as eager to play with them as I am. (I also secretly hope that they make you ask your GM if you can have ancestral paragon instead of free archetype. Though I guess I just spilled that secret.) Coming out with an incredible banger of an ancestry right away I see. Please, as the kids say, keep cooking. I'm hoping to see more amazing stuff from you in the future!
No idea if this has been reported, but 7-06 and 7-07 (which unless I'm mistaken, were meant to come out last week) are not available to be added to cart. Also, the scenarios coming out January and beyond that are shorter (which I believe are priced at $5 now) are priced at $8 Also, I can't find the Society subscription. Was it discountinued?

Okay seems the Paizo website isn’t going down yet, so I’m gonna give rolling stats another go, see if yesterday’s curse has passed. 4d6 - 3 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 5) - 3 = 16
The curse has passed!
Crisischild wrote: Yeah that's not to say a level 1 PC can't have a more elaborate backstory. I have an aasimar bloodrager who nearly died as a child, woke up on the banks of the River of Souls, and traded her shadow to a psychopomp before returning to the world of the living. Oh yeah absolutely! This is a good example of one you can do. I think the better way of putting it is not whether or not you can have a big backstory at low level but that your backstory probably shouldn't have massive impressive accomplishments if you're a level 1 character. A lot of things can happen to you, but usually you're a bit more reactionary, if that makes sense.
Yeah I think a reroll is in order, but I think this is an omen that I shouldn't do it before the website goes down, I think I'm being punished for being impatient! Update: Just checked the announcement, seems the website the website isn't going down today TIME TO TRY AGAIN! 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 1) - 1 = 11
Now this is drastically better though still not great.

Lol I wouldn't say it was too much. It's definitely true, the characters really didn't feel like level 1 adventurers. I always try to be minimal with my backstories, just what's necessary, (in this case, I simply gave my guy motivation in the form of a family to maintain) because whatever comes up organically is better than anything I could do, always!
Oh yeah! In the topic of a sheet, I was toying around making one in herolab. Probably going human with point blank shoot and precise shot as I was told that these were mandatory to take if you wanna use a bow. Focus on dexterity and con and have all the 14s go to the other stats with 10 either being charisma or intelligence. I haven’t decided on traits, I don’t know what kind of stuff I should be taking…favorite enemy probably Dragons right? That seems fitting for this one
Been mulling over details of the character! Spoiler: Born in Cassomir about forty years ago, Var never was one for city life. His parents’ love for travel really rubbed on him, growing up. And it was for this and no particular tragic event that he took to the road. It was a good life. One of self reliance with very minimal trips to towns to do the occasional restock of arrows or a new bow. And of course, there’s ale — can’t get that in the wilderness! It was during one of these stops for ale and company that changed Var’s life forever. A few cute looks from a bargirl and that thirst and desire for companionship is all it took. He didn’t stay, of course, but next time he came back, he learned that he was a father. He couldn’t raise his daughter, no way. Maybe in a different life. He wasn’t the right kind of man for that, but his conscience wouldn’t leave him alone…and so, every few months, he’d come to town with a sack of gold to Lana, the bargirl. How he made his money depended on what was available— maybe he’d serve as a guide for people trying to cross a dangerous place, maybe he’d hunt and sell the pelt, and occasionally, he’d work as a courier. It is the latter which brought him to Belhaim — an urgent missive for a local wizard from one organization or another — he didn’t care, really, never was one for magic. (To up the personal stakes, maybe Lana and his daughter live in Belhaim?) He has messy, brown hair and an unkempt beard he only shaves every few months. He has a few scars on his face from close brushes with death and is never seen without his bow.
Lot of responses! This seems pretty exciting! No way someone with practically zero experience with the system (a single Society scenario) as me would get chosen, but just in case! Would probably try like a grizzled ranger (thinking human or a half-elf perhaps) that occasionally works as a courier when the mood strikes (particularly if he can explore a place he hasn't been to as a result) and came to Belhaim to deliver a missive for the missing Mr Hunclay |
