Core ancestry options include human, dwarf, elf, gnome, goblin, halfling, leshy, and orc!
  • A mountain of options allowing you to customize your character including versatile heritages, like the changeling and nephilim, skills and feats, and hundreds of spells (including dozens of new ones), ensuring that the character you build represents your hero not just in story, but in rules as well!
  • Everything you need to know to start playing, from advice on how to explore the world to tips on surviving deadly combats with terrifying foes.
  • A primer on the world of Lost Omens so that your character can be a part of an exciting and diverse world!
  • Rules and tools to advance your character through play, taking them from a fresh-faced adventurer ready to take on the world to a veteran hero, wielding powerful magic that can reshape reality!
  • Fully integrated errata from the first 4 years of Pathfinder Second Edition, including revisions to the witch, expanded options for every character class, streamlined spells, new equipment, and more!
  • This is the first Pathfinder product published under the new Open RPG Creative (ORC) license, giving players and Game Masters even more freedom for making their own creations based on Pathfinder Second Edition.

@Aaron - a question that was raised a couple of weeks ago while discussing Rage of Elements release. Have you been able to confirm if the PDFs for the new Core books will suffer the same image compression issues as we saw with the Rage of Elements PDF?
Yes, I have confirmed that we have been able to use our normal (pre-Rage)compression for the Player Core and GM Core.

That is excellent news Aaron, thank you!

Now we just need to get Rag of Elements updated... ;)

I haven't seen any previews for the Druid - Anyone know if the druid is staying pretty much the same except for the Focus changes/spell updates?

Do we know if the Witch's armaments Nails be a finesse attack or will it stay as a STR attack?

They can wear metal armor now. No metal armor was OGL.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere before, but when November comes around and it's time for the Rulebook subscription to do its thing, will it charge me for both books and shipping at once, then send them out together, or will it be one than the other a bit latter?

Usually all books for a month are sent out at once.

Still a month to go :(

I'm so excited for the remaster!

Will the rules for multiclassing into the various classes be in this book and the various archetypes in the 2nd Player Core?

I wonder when the review embargo will end for the Remaster books. I presume the Youtube influencers and other reviewers already have gotten their review copies.

They have not. We will start sending PDFs to reviewers the day after our October releases date, which is this Wednesday. The embargo will lift when subscribers start to get their PDFs, around the 30th.

Multiclass archetypes for the first group of 8 classes appear in the Player Core. The Player Core 2 will contain the multiclass archetypes for the second group of 8 classes and, "More than 40 archetypes, allowing you to further customize your character’s story and abilities."

Ah. So paralleling the way that archetypes were presented in the CRB and APG. That makes sense since the APG and Player Core 2 had more space available to cover archetypes than the CRB and Player Core 1 which both had to cover a lot of basic rules.

Authorization on the 26th, start of shipping on the 30th, so some may very well be in for some trick or remastering

Thanks, Aaron! Dang, to be an influencer now... ah, well. Really looking forward to the reviews and of course the books themselves, when they release. :)

1-ish week span between early preview PDF and Authorization I guess.

Maybe a goofy question. With the remaster books coming out, will there be an updated GM screen as well? Or would the older GM screen work with the new editions?

I don't think anything that was on the GM screen is changing except for the added reposition action in athletics.

Not goofy, but it's already announced and have a product page here. :3

It will have a chart of "new terms" to help quick "on the fly" translation to remaster language for old adventures.

So I've subbed to the rulebook subscription because of the Remaster and being new to it I'm slightly confused - my 'Sidecart' currently only has Player Core in it. When the time comes will both it and GM core be shipped together or have I done something wrong that's only added the one - I picked the 'Start with this book' option under Player Core assuming that would mean I'd get both in November.

Make sure you get both as subscription items (with free PDFs) by sending an email to
customer.service@paizo.com

They will adjust your order so that both books are shipped to you at the same time.

Not sure, but if you have a sub and a sub item in your sidecart, you may end up with two of the item, so if you don't want that make sure to check with CS to get the item removed from your sidecart before shipping.

Don't worry, the main article says that those will be out like three months after the hardcovers.

It says there is a PDF for $20. I guess that's kind of close. The overview makes it appear that there will be sort of an errata you could use with your original book if you have it. Though, I'd think many people would prefer to eventually buy a new book rather than use the old book + errata. Either way, I think they'll be fine. Hopefully we get a bunch of new players from other games to try out the new market. Overall I love Pathfinder 2e and think it's one of the best RPG editions we've had in a long time.

Ho do I opt out of the new core books while keeping my sub active?

We definitely will be hearing stuff from Monday onwards! Mark Seifter of Roll For Combat will be doing streams starting on Monday that will cover an overview of the Player Core, a stream for each of the classes, and a stream on GM Core. And I've heard other YouTubers will also start their coverage on the 30th as well.

Lots to look forward to, for sure!

Luis Loza shared some cool spoilers on PF2E Subreddit Discord today!

Question: "Can we get spoiled on what Ruffian Rogue does?"
Answer: "Can sneak attack with advanced weapons (limited selection) too :)"

Question: "Anything about Druid? We know that metal anathema is going bye bye, but what about those "extra effects while casting depending on the order"? Are those passives? Focus spells?"
Answer: "Thre's new feats! Plant order gets the Garland Spell spellshape, for example. Causes your spells to create areas of difficult terrain that can harm people."

Question: "I've been very curious about the Void Warp spell that was teased with the reveal of the new Wizard schools, any hints on what it does?"
Answer: "It's an alternate for chill touch! Deals void damage and can cause enfeebled."

Question: "Anything bard related"
Answer: "I'll let the warrior muse keep its secrets for now. We renamed some of their focus spells to better match the artistic theme. For example, inspire heroics is now fortissimo composition."

Question: "whats your favourite new spell in the remaster?"
Answer: "Acid grip is pretty fun!"

Question: "Hmm… last one from me I think, what single change to a class do you think is most impactful/you’re most proud of?"
Answer: "Probably the wizard schools. They open up a lot of design and flavor space. I got to play with a new school that is the purview of an archetype. Technically, a wizard can take it, but it's definitely more focused on the archetype. You'll see someday! It's particularly fun because it's a remastered version of an existing archetype. It shows just how much we could have done out of the gate if we had the new school tech."

Also, Luis is noting an errata to add the Subtle trait to Figment from the Core Preview doc! All really great stuff!

Luis Loza in reddit wrote:

Theory: Can sneak attack with all martial too, and "unconventional weaponry" or alternate of it (Uncommon Advanced counted as martial) still exists

I think Magaambya for the archetype. It is a school of magic, but it's not Wizard-only.

The fact that the updated crafting doesn't address complex crafting/quick setup at all makes me a little sad, but I guess I can homebrew the interaction.

(Guessing critical crafting still safe to be used.)

Yeah, looking over it, nothing about Critical Crafting should conflict with the Remaster.

I thought I saw that True Strike changed to allow a caster to use their spellcaster attribute as the attack bonus on a weapon they were holding? Is that correct?

The person that talked about said they were working on it... So I wouldn't expect to see it published before late next year at the very soonest.

whether it be in here cause that's where clerics are, or in gm core cause setting, does anybody know the 20 core deities's status regarding sanctification?

really interested in particular if any deities specifically require that you don't be sanctified, but i'm interested in all of the details

Gozreh and Pharasma do not offer any sanctification options. The other 18 all either allow or require sanctification.

The only thing I’ve noticed is a general feat called Pet that allows any character to have a tiny animal minion. I don’t recall reading any other changes.
