[quote Aurora]"Can you stand, Demm tad Draguni?"

The withered kobold nods in appreciation. "Demm tad-draguni am fine. Your healing am work good. Maybe your water magic am not as useless as Demm tad-draguni believes." This is the closest thing to a compliment the others have heard in quite a while.

"We am not knowing you, but we still am help you not get killed by pointy-eared, boring tree people. It am least Pathfinders can do. Well...no am least, but we help you anyway."

In the time provided, Caduceus would offer to add a Life Link to Ranginori.

The paladin considers the offer. "If it will help the party, then enlarge me. However, it is not a priority."

Caduceus then calls on The Inheritor to further aid his allies, including the recently liberated Lord of Thunder.

Casting Blessing of Fervor.

With this blessing, you call your allies to move forth and empower them to conquer and become victorious. Each round for the duration of this spell, each of your allies can choose one of the following bonuses for that round at the beginning of its turn (their choice).
Increase its speed by 30 feet.
*Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
*Take one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus.
*Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
*Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.
These effects are not cumulative with similar effects, such as those provided by haste or a speed weapon, nor do they actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round. Blessing of fervor does not stack with haste.

@Cad: how do you get 7d6 channel? ;-) Explain in discussion please.

No problem.

Oracle Channel (7d6/ 7x a day)
Life Oracle (base) = 4d6
1/2 elf FCB (six levels of Oracle) = +1d6
Phylactery of Positive Channeling = +2d6

Paladin Cannel (3d6/ 9x a day)
Paladin (base) = 1d6
Phylactery of Positive Channeling = +2d6

His shield also has 'positive channeling'. 3x a day he can add 1d6 to a channel.

Lay on Hands (4d6+2/ 14x a day)
Paladin LoH (base) = 2d6
1/2 elf FCB (four levels of paladin)= +2 points
Bracers of the Merciful Knight = +2d6
Greater Mercy (Sickened) = +1d6 {*only applies is target is NOT sickened}

"Aw crapples. Suren there's trouble afoot."

@GM Irish, how fast can Spackle get to the guard (or within 90 feet)? I would like to get close enough to use Facinate on him.

Fascinate (Su) DC 19:
At 1st level, a bard can use his performance to cause one or more creatures to become fascinated with him. Each creature to be fascinated must be within 90 feet, able to see and hear the bard, and capable of paying attention to him. The bard must also be able to see the creatures affected. The distraction of a nearby combat or other dangers prevents this ability from working. For every three levels the bard has attained beyond 1st, he can target one additional creature with this ability.

Each creature within range receives a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the bard's level + the bard's Cha modifier) to negate the effect. If a creature's saving throw succeeds, the bard cannot attempt to fascinate that creature again for 24 hours. If its saving throw fails, the creature sits quietly and observes the performance for as long as the bard continues to maintain it. While fascinated, a target takes a –4 penalty on all skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat to the target allows the target to make a new saving throw against the effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a weapon at the target, automatically breaks the effect.

Fascinate is an enchantment (compulsion), mind-affecting ability. Fascinate relies on audible and visual components in order to function.

Have to say I am also not a fan of one player making a unilateral decision for the entire table. Pbp excels at character development and story-telling. I don't care for someone else deciding what I find fun, so using that as a justification is both disingenuous and inaccurate.

You turned what could have potentially been a cool character moment for someone else into just another boring combat.

This game is supposed to be collaborative.

Almost happy to see a large gathering of targets, Swarm begins a powerful incantation designed to incapacitate everyone in the room.

Fighting off the aromatic assault, the slayer lives up to his profession. An arrow pierces the eye of the nearest guard. He staggers forward a step or two before collapsing.

The remaining guards spring into action. Curiously, they don't engage the azata. Each run for a different door. One pounds on it, shouting in some unknown tongue. The other throws open the northern door a leans against the wall.

Onna leans into the kiss, allowing herself to melt into Hiiragi's embrace. Wow! She usually takes my breath away, but wow!

She is not certain how long the kiss lasts. She feels simultaneously that is perhaps too long for the ceremony while being not nearly long enough for the emotions rising within her.

***********

The bard nods along with Hiiragi. "Yes! Thank you all so much for being here and helping us to celebrate our love. Whether a friend or a stranger, a Pathfinder or a fellow kitsune, your presence is so appreciated. We are made stronger because you chose to join us this day."

**************

With fingers interlaced with her wife, Onna races over to Itami's side. She hugs him lovingly. "Thank you so much for being here Grandfather. It would not have been the same without you." She buries her head on his shoulder, "I have missed you so much." Onna straightens and regains her composure. She chides him, "And you've left me to fend for myself among all these zealots. And I can't begin to tell you about how trying it's been to bring logic and science to them, and...the dog."

The bard turns nearly crimson at the compliment. "How does she always know the right thing to say?"

”Before meeting you, my life was little more than meandering background music. An aimless melody searching to become a song. When I heard you utter those words, I had no idea just how much they would come to change the course of my life. Looking back on it now, it makes total sense.” She takes the crusader’s hands in her own. ”Your words, your voice, have become the lyrics to my life. I want to spend the rest of my life singing a duet with you.”

”Until you came into my life, I spent most of my life blending in. Town to town, never staying any place very long. I didn’t feel like I could trust the world. I protected myself, putting up walls, unable to allow anyone in. At times, I thought I would never find anyone to share my life with. Over time, I became convinced that I didn’t deserve to have anyone either. Therefore, I never felt ready to share myself, my true Self. And then…you. Just you. Full of passion. Full of devotion. I swear woman, you are an unstoppable force. I never witnessed true strength of character until I was drawn into your orbit. You were this amazing maelstrom of energy. I found myself struggling to keep pace. To be honest, you were more than a bit intimidating.”

”But then I got to know you. You didn’t really change much, like at all. But I found that I was becoming more comfortable around you. You made me want to open up, to share not only who I was, but the woman I could become. You have given me the courage and freedom to be who I am supposed to be. In our time together, I have learned more about myself than I believed possible. You taught me there is a difference between being alive and Living. That one cannot completely understand the strength of Love until they can allow themselves to be vulnerable.”

Her eyes drop momentarily as she purses her lips and moves them side to side. She settles on biting her lower lip before admitting, ”And yeah, I may have had a nudge from Shelyn, but just a little one.” Her eyes rise and stare deep into Hiiragi’s ”I felt you that day.” Onna placed her hand on the priestess’ sternum. ”Felt you. Felt your soul as it cried out. Felt the purity of your…of our burgeoning love. And when my eyes opened, you were the first one I saw. I knew two things at that moment. The first was that life is too precious to waste. Second is that I have already lived too much of my life without you.”

Her hand slides up to her fiancee’s neck and pulls her forward until their heads gently touch. ”Miko Hiiragi, I want to live the rest of my life with you. In here. In your hopeful Thoughts, in your beautiful Heart, and, hoboy in these wonderful arms.” Did she do some push-ups before the ceremony? She pulls back and allows her finger to trail to each corresponding location from the forehead, back over the heart before both of her hands are grasping Hiiragi’s shoulders and biceps. While no one else can tell, Onna’s hands are trembling.

”You’ve become my everything. My soft spring storm with rainbows. My sun-drenched summer day by the river. Your eyes hold all the stars and constellations. I could stare at them every night and still not have my fill. Your courage inspired me to be a healing nightingale. Your soul allowed me to become a phoenix from the ashes. Your love has given me voice as your songbird. You are my everything. You have become my world.”

”I have been blessed with a second chance a life. A life I want to spend living, with you as your wife.”

”Hiiagri, I love you. I cannot wait to start our journey together.”

@Azora - It is the height of meta-gaming to ask the GM ...

@Rogarch, actually, no it is not. In my time playing and running PFS, most scenarios requiring a skill check provide that information so players can best distribute their efforts (like the chase mechanic). This is one of the times where F2F games holds a slight advantage over PbP. At a table this communication would be quick and seamless. On the Play by Post boards, a minor confusion can slow the progress of a game considerably. There are time when clarification is needed. This allows players to return their focus to role playing. If a GM takes issue with that, I assume they would have a conversation with the player privately via PM.

I made the choice to ask for clarification, but then make a roll so as to expedite game play. Nothing more.

What IS meta-gaming is looking a character's statistics and telling players what task they should attempt. Please refrain from making any more commentary or suggestions to me or my character in the future. Your judgement of me as a player is not wanted, needed, or cared for.

Demm thrusts both arms at in the young girl's direction in vindication. The look on his face says 'I told you so!'

He thinks for a moment before confidently offering, "Tiny female fleshie am lost. Only way to kill sneaky demon spawn am while it am trapped in her. Stabby-stabs with silver while it am stuck!"

I mean, he did roll a nat one after all.

Bo's hand drops to his coin purse after being volunteered to buy the first round. He breathes a sigh of relief at hearing The Exchange will pay for the refreshments. However, he is immediately placed back on edge when Nana gets frisky.

Behind Nana, the monk shakes his head in warning to Rallas. NO! Don't do it. She'll tear you apart!

It might depend on Kiboko's GM blob. If everyone is first or second level, I could run a Master of the Fallen Fortress/ Wounded Wisp / CONFIRMATION trilogy (for you too Hawthwile, assuming a GM remembers how to play just one character).

Thoughts?

I am thinking about making a Tiefling Paladin named Dia Bolique, but I have not made my final decision.

Talking to her fiancee as she watches the paladins, "They do seem to get themselves into trouble. And we will eventually have to explore this place to find a way out. No time like the present." She stands and offers her hand out to help the priestess to her feet. Looking past Hiragi toward the gagged man's corpse, "Damn! I wish we could have talked to him. I feel like he could have given us some answers."

These are the moments wherein the bard feels the most self-recrimination. While the rest of the skulk handles most of the physical threats, Onna knows that tasks pertaining to information are more her area of responsibility. Losing the opportunity to talk to this man will gnaw at her. It will only grow worse as their time in Carrion Hill passes, especially if this lack of knowledge puts anyone at risk of harm. Still, she manages to keep a smile on her face, for the others more than herself. "A skeleton may provide some answers to this riddle." Onna looks back over the water toward the shore. "You don't think Phidöe will play will any of the bones, do you?"

I love the combo of Bless and Inspire Courage. So much so that my CORE bard took a level dip in cleric. Eventually I will be able to get them both off in the first round of combat.

Being +2 to hit and +1 to damage is a HUGE difference maker, especially in the lower tiers.

"Hi there, I'm Dimple, you're an azer, and these are all Pathfinders. I think we're expected? Hey, can I ask a question. do you...uh...use a brush for your hair? Does it catch fire? Cuz it looks awesome. What does a 'bad hair day' even look like for you? Does it just smoulder? I bet it just smoulders. Wait! Never mind daytime, what about bedtime. What happens to your pillows? Do you use a pillow? I would think it would burn or melt or something. Getting a good night sleep is important after all. I can't imagine you use a rock. Is the pillow case fire proof, or the whole thing?" One gets the sense that this line of questioning can go on for quite some time.

As other have stated YiM, your efforts help create a more dynamic, immersive and enjoyable role-play experience. I have oft taken advantage of any opportunity to share a table with you due to your diligence in this area. Your descriptions help to create characters and establish the mood. Your graphic additions go above and beyond, and really helps the players to visualize the story.

The tiny investigator's features are concealed in loose fitting charcoal-colored clothing and a veil covering most of his face. His body language and posture do reveal his interest in the topic of conversation. He ponders what he has heard of the nature and history of the site.

The wayang speaks up in a thick Osirian accent, "Apologizing and sorrows for my tonguing...speaking? I have so many talkings... languagings? in my head. Will do best to explain." He takes a moment before continuing. "Me have heard that 'sin' magic comed from Thassilon's very onest leader, Xin. It has not been using for long time. The magic is used to calling others to do work for wizard. Labor and knowledge squeezed from them like a sponge. Nothing sneaky and nothing combaty. Other explorings lead experts to thinking magic energy am stored there, like a giant reservoir waiting for wizard to drain it."

"Thassilon are very old and gone. Where it was and now not covering much of what is now Varisia. Empire crumbled at Earthfall, over a hundred centuries ago. More smallerest part of country was Haruka. They were knowing for being wizards who exploited others. So good at it, they were the bestest place to buy slaves. As Sheilaheidmarch said, they prayed to Lissala and the Peacock Spirit."

He pauses again before adding, "Thassilon country died in Earthfall, but many thinking city lasted for time afterwards, but may have been broken...destroyed? by dragons. Gossiping says dragons may still living at the area."

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Assuming that is good enough to hear a spell being cast. Hearing a whispered conversation is a DC 15

Hatching a desperate plan, the bard flicks her wrist. The familiar weight of a wand slides into her hand. She envisions a location in her mind, then points the wand along the path Phidöe is taking. Suddenly, the end of the corridor has an arch that leads to a beautiful hillside field.

On a post just inside the hall, a sign reads in Common and Sylvan: You are now leaving Carrion Hill! Come back and see us anytime.

On the other side of the portal reads a similar sign: You are no longer in Carrion Hill! Go back and help your friends. They miss you. They also have a STICK!!

Using the Wand of Silent Image to attempt some shenanigans. The goal is to place this directly in his path of egress. If Phidöe can willingly fail the save, he would believe he has met the obligation of the spell and could return. Like I said on Discord, not a great plan, but a plan. If he has to roll, I don't know what the save DC on a wand would be. (11+Casting Stat)
