Ander, are you leaving your firearm with the broken condition or did you spend Grit to make it a move action?

The Phantom Jadrin darts up and unleashes a wicked little smack with her targe. The ooze wobbles a bit as it absorbs the blow, but you see a crack forming.

Kaztor moves up next to Dran, hopefully there will be something left to attack.

Halali, not willing to be outdone by some sort of slimy ghost creature, unleashes a well aimed double attack. She exploits the crack that is beginning to form and knocks a large block of ooze right off the creature! It still wobbles dangerously, but is certainly getting close to being done with this world.

Bilos moves up and launches a stone, but just can't hit the creature. So many things in his way and frankly, it wasn't his best effort.

Grunigon, like a good sneaky sneak, slides in and kill-steals. Muahahahaha! All the credit to the rogue!!!

His mace cuts right through the blob and it collapses in a pile of acidic goo, dead as a doorknob that was made of Jell-O.

Combat Over!

Janira's voice still echoes down the tunnel. And she sounds a bit stressed.

Does a misfire no longer cause it to become broken?

Misfire:
Misfires: If the natural result of your attack roll falls within a firearm's misfire value, that shot misses, even if you would have otherwise hit the target. When a firearm misfires, it gains the broken condition. While it has the broken condition, it suffers the normal disadvantages that broken weapons do, and its misfire value increases by 4 unless the wielder has gun training in the particular type of firearm (see the gunslinger class). In that case, the misfire value increases by 2 instead of 4.

Quick Clear Deed appears applicable:
At 1st level, as a standard action, the gunslinger can remove the broken condition from a single firearm she is currently wielding, as long as that condition was gained by a firearm misfire. The gunslinger must have at least 1 grit point to perform this deed. Alternatively, if the gunslinger spends 1 grit point to perform this deed, she can perform quick clear as a move-equivalent action instead of a standard action.

The dwarves wisely kick it into high gear and head out of the area (1 round to get to the east end). They find themselves moving up and out of the caves at a quick pace, but it still seems like forever before dim moonlight greets them at the exit (3 more rounds to get out).

The light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.

Fortunately, the forested area here is thin enough that they can clearly see what is up. And what is up is not ideal. Janira seems to be just about out of tricks, when she glances back to see you all exit, "Uh hey y'all. I'm gonna say, this is good timing. Mind covering my retreat or distracting this bugger while I get away? Alternatively, we could also just kill him. He did mention something very anti-short races earlier, so perhaps ridding the world of one a@~&*!@ would be fine too."

I had to restore the original map, someone dragged the entire thing well off the screen. I then put Dran where I think he was supposed to be and it appears Ander may have taken a double move, so I left him there.

The dwarves all rush forward to help. Well, most of them. A couple split off or do mojo. The ectoplasmic goopy one turns more ethereal and rushes past everyone, screaming taunts at the minotaur.

Janira considers her options then replies, "Okay so, I really don't like my chances at jumping that creek, these little legs were NOT made for that kind of thing. But I do have a plan. And if it fails, well... take my body back to the lodge please, I have contingencies for this kind of thing."

She hops back and her whip snaps out towards the big axe handle wielded by the minotaur.

Running along on the bridge Grunigon calls out to the minotaur, "Coward! Why don't you pick on somebody closer to your own size! Any one of us dwarves is twice as good as you, at anything!"

With that wicked bit of a brutality, the dwarves whip themselves into battle frenzy. They keep rushing forward, though many of them encourage each other to wait back and force the minotaur to come to them across the stream.

Halali misses with her sling bullet, but her gunnery mate Ander, drills the bullheaded fiend with a musket shot.

Well, drill isn't really right, it catches the beast in the shoulder with a glancing blow, barely doing anything (unlucky roll on damage there).

The other dwarves prepare to attack or just barely make it to the slick log.

DC 7 Acrobatics check to cross the log at half speed. If you fail, roll a Reflex Save.

However, one of the dwarves isn't a coward and charges forward. Floating easily through the trees like some sort of whispy spirit of vengeance she darts right up and around the minotaur, who swings his big axe in anticipation of a second kill.

The axe cleaves right through her, but doesn't even seem to hit anything? Bullman seems a bit confused and then shrugs, turning towards the rest of you... specifically the one that just hurt him.

He moves over to the river and tries to slog through it, his big form slowed down and he wavers for a second and stops. One would think anyone smaller would have a lot more trouble, but the big beast is just stopped, not swept away.

Redoubling his efforts, the monster pulls his hoof out of the muck and makes it across, moving up to threaten the gunslinger with a massive bloodied axe. But this at least brings him into range of The Magi, who blasts the beast with a nice cold icicle.

Halali is correct, if you can target a part of this large enemy that is 10 feet away from an ally, there is no -4 penalty for shooting into melee. The Magi still misses though.

Grunigon's sling bolt rattles up high into the trees. The Magi's mystic bolt of magical might zips just past the fiend's shoulder, but no harm is done.

Halali aims well and even leads her target, but missed noticing the small sapling in the way and her shuriken ends up buried in its bark.

Ander turns tail and wisely runs.

AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 for Slashing: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 5) + 4 = 11

But nearly loses his head, like Janira. At the last second Halali shouts a warning and he ducks, instead taking a wicked blow to his back and shoulder.

Kaztor moves up and pronounces a divine verdict upon the bull-man. The bull-man doesn't seem to care.
