Fort DC 18 DAMN THAT SPELL SOAKED THIS TUNNEL SNEAKY BASTARD: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Kenta gets an odd odor that makes him sneeze once, but then he is fine. He continues squirming through the tunnel and pops out, following wherever Phidoe leads.

In a cold sweat, the bard leans limply against the wall, patting appreciatively at the hand of her best friend and soon-to-be bride. Well, if this escapade doesn't scare her off that is. There is a brief pause as her stomach ceases convulsing. However, it is a delay that only serves to torture the unwell. Moments of calm so they can truly dread the rapid upheaval about to continue. She pants heavily, trying to catcher her breath. "Thanks babe. This is so humiliat- " Onna's abdomen suddenly twists as she doubles over once again.
Hiiragi

Hiiragi gathers Onna's hair into one hand so she can pat her back with the other. "You've never tried keeping up with my aunt Sayuki," she points out. "But her plum sake is so good, you won't mind tasting it twice."

Kenta's sword is ineffective against the iron door.
Mama Hiiragi continues comforting Onna.
I will skip ahead a few rounds to the point where Onna has recovered and the fog clears, unless the two paladins come up with a cunning plan for getting through a locked iron door on their own ;)

Kenta swings a couple more times, trying to hack through the metal. He regrets not having a paladin’s lock opener (aka an adamantine weapon).
If the scratches aren’t getting bigger he calls back through the tunnel, ”Lock to open!”

The physical effects of the spell having passed, the bard rises from the ground. Well, at least it seems the only lasting damage will be to my pride. Before she can be too self-deprecating, she sees Hiiragi look of concern. Once again, she is struck by how fortunate she is to has such a wonderful partner. At the thought, a warm breath of love swells within her. As Onna's lungs fill, her recent failure is all but forgotten. "What have I done to deserve you?" Before she can continue, Kenta's urgent call echoes down the walls of the corridor. The bard shakes her head with a smile, "Can't those boys do anything by themselves? Oh well, duty calls. Let's go save them." Onna offers her hand before practically dragging the priestess behind her.
Arriving at the door, "I really need to teach one of you how to do this. Well, either that or get you some weapons made from that start metal. Word has it that blades like that could go through a door like it was an old scroll." Musings aside, she gets to work.

The fog doesn't last long - another 20 seconds or so - and by the time Onna gets the locked door open Toshi has recovered too.
You're out of combat now - but I'm still tracking time and actions.
Kenta opens the door. There's no sign of Crove, but Phidöe thinks his scent is stronger to the north.
Onna still has 10hp damage.
| GM supervillan |
You've plenty of time to heal Onna's 10hp damage before the encounter unfolds - please post the healing though.
You follow Phidöe's nose as the littlest detective tracks Waldur Crove.
The trail leads north. You find a room that seems to have been quickly ransacked - a gruesome surgery. Crove isn't there any more, so you backtrack, Onna picking the locks of several cells but finding them empty. The cells have peepholes, allowing clandestine vision into neighbouring cells. A couple of those cells hold docile inmates - but not Crove.
Continuing to follow the scent, you realise that Crove has gone back upstairs. It looks like he's taken, or moved, the inmate that you found in the library. She's gone at any rate. Chance is still watching over the unconscious thugs.
The trail leads to a dormitory. It's clear that this is where Crove's orderlies take their rest. The room is empty now.
Finally, the scent leads you down another flight of stairs back to the cells - and you find a welcome party. Crove has been busy...

One of the inmates you recognise from the library, the other two were previously chained at the foot of the stairs. Their wounds have been healed. You don't recognise the orderlies. My apologies for the long delays in posting. Yesterday was the last day of classes for the semester which is always a little crazy and I've also had a lot of childcare and holiday responsibilities recently. I should be able to return to a normal pace now.
Also, thanks for botting me. One small note: Phidöe would not have had enough movement to also Climb Crove once he entered his square (due to moving at half speed to reduce the Acrobatics penalty), so he should currently be "Underfoot" but not "Limb Climbing."

If Phidöe can willingly fail the save, he would believe he has met the obligation of the spell and could return. Like I said on Discord, not a great plan, but a plan. If he has to roll, I don't know what the save DC on a wand would be. (11+Casting Stat)

Phidöe gets the urge to go and roam the countryside, and he darts between everyone's legs and trots back upstairs.
The doctor, having had no success landing a blow on the fox/pup, lets him go. But the slow-witted orderly swings for him...
Blue AoO: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25
...almost clubbing Phidöe, but not quite.
The thug's distraction allows Kenta through - and the Doctor attempts to stop him.
yellow AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
The mad doctor wounds the paladin with his long knife.
"The doctor" is the Derro - yellow token. Crove, the warden, is the pink token.
Onna tries a desperate ploy to halt Phidöe's exit, but the pup ignores her tricks.
Delayed Hiiragi in order to let her coordinate with Toshi..

Hiiragi
|
Assuming Toshi takes a quick step back,
Hiiragi grins big-- and then, as she grows, her grin grows with her.
"HrrrrRRRRRRRGGGHH," she says, swinging a much larger flail.
Big, Inspired, Raging Flail vs. Blue: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
...Gonna need to put this one in dice jail. But in case this is a clumsy fellow in garbage armor...
Smash: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (6, 6) + 10 = 22
| GM supervillan |
Hiiragi nods to Toshi, and Toshibot steps back as she flicks a knife at the thug in front. Toshi doesn't appear to have precise shot yet so hitting the back row with a cover penalty on top is tricky - and if she drops Blue then Hiiragi can go for the doctor with reach.
starknife, flag etc, into melee: 1d20 + 11 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 3 - 4 = 15damage: 1d4 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 3 = 15
The knife sticks deep into the thug's leg before vanishing and reappearing on Toshi's hip. But the orderly seems crazed, and refuses to give up the fight. Until Bigragi's flail crushes the cage about his head, and his head with it, leaving the man quite dead. Yeah, poor AC.
Crove concentrates on a spell...
concentration: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
Seemingly unafraid of Kenta's blade or fangs, Crove completes his spell and reaches out to the young paladin.
touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
But Kenta dodges the attack! Crove's hand remains wreathed in a blue nimbus.
Crove mutters something to the doctor in that alien, inscrutable tongue of the derro, and the pair manoeuvre around Kenta. The doctor stabs again...
knife, flank: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 2 = 10
But with one eye on the giant shrine-maiden behind him, the doctor's aim is off.
Combat round 5
Kenta, -10hp
Toshiko, -4hp
Onna, -28hp
Hiiragi, -12hp
Crove, -8hp
The doctor
Phidöe, -14hp - leaving the city
The bold may act!

Big, Inspired, Raging Flail vs. Flanked Derro: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 = 30
Smash: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (2, 4) + 10 = 16
Hiiragi grins as the derro moves just into exactly the wrong place; her flail comes down again, emboldened by her success, this time onto the deep dwarven creature.
Kenta Faux

Kenta turns to Crove and gives him a wary sniff, tis good to be sure about these things. Assuming the scent is horrid, he says a simple prayer and brings his flaming blade down hard.
Move to Detect Evil, if detected, Swift to Smite vs Crove, Standard to Attack. All AC is 3 higher vs Crove (including touch).
+1 Greatsword - Power Attack w/ Furious Focus + IC/Flag + Smite: 1d20 + 8 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 3 + 3 = 17 for Slashing + PA + IC/Flag + Smite: 2d6 + 4 + 6 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 + 6 + 3 + 5 = 21
