Gorrig - My quick perusal of your character sheet shows that you still need to pick a feat for level 3. :)

Oh, you’re right! Guess I never finished leveling after Gorrig’s last game. I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes to look at everyone’s builds lol.

I like to see how other people prioritise and occasionally I might learn a trick or two as well. Plus it is always fun to peek. :)
Bannock |
All of the apologies. Computer was stuck in airplane mode.
Character name: Bannock
PFS #: # 162383-4
Faction: Liberty Edge
Day Job: Now, since this isn't after an AP, I don't get no day job roll, yeah?
Hey, I'm really liking the whole personality that is rolling for this character. The question I have for you guys is: How raunchy can my insults be? I'm challenging myself to never have a word interfered with by the #$%^&%& interdictor, but that still gets me a lot of leeway.
Basically he's this big, foul-mouthed, noble-hating dwarf that carries a big sword and is just a cross between Fat Bastard and Billy Connelly.
(Oooo! I found his HBO special! =)

I personally don’t mind raunchiness, although I prefer creative euphemisms. Like when AC/DC says “I’m just giving a dog a bone,” or pretty much any lyric from the Blackpink song “Ice Cream” (which aren’t insults but hopefully give you the general idea).
No-censoring is a good challenge, it makes you get creative, although it’s also fun to see fictional swear words that you don’t have to censor. Examples include “gorram” from Firefly, “Mudblood” from Harry Potter, “crows” from Codex Alera, etc. Several of my PFS characters will use phrases like “nine hells” or “Desna’s teats” which feel like they would probably get used in Golarion a lot.

My all time favorite is frack from Battlestar galactica!
I'm playing in a PFS pbp right now and my half orc fighter used Nine Hells in my post this morning.

Vulgarity is no big deal for me, I myself am a big foul mouth IRL when the situation permits it. Just maybe try not to exaggerate, or you risk playing a caricature which will become old pretty fast.

Coming up with your own curses (in-game) is much more fun anyways than relying on the tired old swear words that everyone over uses anyways.
I rarely (if ever) curse in real life. These words lack the impact of the truth which IMO can be absolutely devastating to get your point across.

@Azora - It is the height of meta-gaming to ask the GM ...
@Rogarch, actually, no it is not. In my time playing and running PFS, most scenarios requiring a skill check provide that information so players can best distribute their efforts (like the chase mechanic). This is one of the times where F2F games holds a slight advantage over PbP. At a table this communication would be quick and seamless. On the Play by Post boards, a minor confusion can slow the progress of a game considerably. There are time when clarification is needed. This allows players to return their focus to role playing. If a GM takes issue with that, I assume they would have a conversation with the player privately via PM.
I made the choice to ask for clarification, but then make a roll so as to expedite game play. Nothing more.
What IS meta-gaming is looking a character's statistics and telling players what task they should attempt. Please refrain from making any more commentary or suggestions to me or my character in the future. Your judgement of me as a player is not wanted, needed, or cared for.

Guys, I'm very sorry, but I need a couple of days to get better. I caught a very bad cold, my head feels just like two balloons [cit.], I need some time to recovery. I'll try to write something Friday or Saturday, ok? Meanwhile I will get tested for COVID, hoping everything will be fine.
Dragomir Lazarescu |
Hey y'all, sorry for the prolonged silence. I still feel very s#$~ty, I don't really have the strength to put into PbP. I'm sorry, but for now I have to pause all my games on the forum. Feel free to either kick me or bot me, either is fine. Tomorrow I'll finally get tested for COVID and I'll know what to do for this illness. Thank you for your understanding.

Do we still have four?
Rogarch |
Good question. We should if Bannock is still active.
You can have people chime in to see that they are still alive and kicking. :)

Hi y'all, I'm feeling slightly better, and should be able to resume my duties as PC and GM toward the end of the week, I hope. Sorry again for all the troubles I've caused you, and thank you for your understanding.

Hi y'all, I should be able to return to the tables after this weekend. I hope you won't mind having me with you again, I know I've been sick for a very long time (I still don't feel completely fine, hopefully next week will be better). In any case I'll try to catch up and post on Monday, have a nice weekend y'all!
