@GuardYourPrivates would you be open to the race Ratfolk? I thought it could be an interesting roleplaying opportunity, being non-human-esque and thus likely less trusted, but still having useful skills as a "tinkerer"? He probably lives beyond the outskirts of town, and almost fills the role of the "old witch in the woods"?
If you don't feel this fits in your vision, I told understand and will look in another direction. Just thought I would ask.
I love the Forgotten Realms, it was such a part of my indoctrination into gaming. Not sure what I want to try and put together at this point, but definitely interested in the game.
They are additional skills that start at the rating of "known", as though gained as part of character creation. If you receive a skill twice it does not become further advanced, but rather you can substitute another skill. And to increase them to trained you would pay the normal cost.
Venatalia I did a little research and there are some limited rules for using the Survival skill for training and handling animals. I don't have my old DH 1e books at home, will need to swing by storage and see if I can find any more reference material in there. In short, I am definitely up for you having a companion, but would want some kind of XP cost to offset how powerful it might be.
Ptah 7-Kappa it's funny you mention that. When I was on Lexicanum, I had to laugh when the language listed said "unknown".
TO EVERYONE I am going to post gear later today. Could everyone please confirm that their character has been updated to include the adjustments posted here in the Discussion thread? If anyone has any other questions or would like to make more changes prior to the start of game play, please ask now.
Good evening all. To Storm Dragon's question, this is in fact the movement of one 3 numerical points. So you could subtract 3 from an Agility of 30, reducing it to 27, and add it to a Strength of 38, increasing it to 41. It's a chance to tweak a couple of your Characteristic scores.
As you edit you Experience expenditure, please ensure the updated details are included in your character profile.
I have sent several of you PMs through the messaging system, please read and address accordingly.
Venatalia let me take a look at what's in the books for animal companions and corresponding rules.
Caesilia I am intrigued by the idea of a language spoken by the Leagues of Votann, and am okay with it.
FIRST The Gameplay thread is open. Please dot in and then delete your post.
SECOND After wrestling with the Aptitude system, and then looking into the details of each different character, I have decided to throw it out. When purchasing anything with experience, you count as having "2 Aptitudes" - I hope this will allow players to build the character they thematically want, rather than being punished because their concept does not align with a published structure. SO, you likely need to review your experience expenditures now...
Welcome to this grand adventure. Given the intriguing disposition of our party, I wanted to offer a couple moments of thought for any adjustments people might want to make. Currently, we are looking at:
I had hopes that we would end up with enough applicants to run two tables (essentially as two operating teams for the same inquisitor in the same field of action). I have reached out to those who backed out at the last minute with build assistance, and will see in they want to come on board.
Back to the topic of adjustments, you are all agents of the Inquisition who have been active for a while. As such, you have had time in transit to "train" and improve yourself. Everyone gains the following:
CHARACTERISTICS
You may move 3 points around amongst your characteristics. You can take all three from one, and give to another, or divide it up as you choose.
SKILLS
You gain one from each of the following
1 - your choice of Awareness, Inquiry, or Scrutiny
2 - your choice of Charm, Deceive, Interrogate, or Intimidate
3 - your choice of one Common Lore
4 - Linguistics in one language of your choice
WOUNDS
You gain 1 bonus wound
This may very well leave some of you with more Experience to spend. If so, please spend it!
STARTING GEAR
Please put down a few requests for anything that may be requested or significant to your character, and I will grant everyone a starting load out.
Also, could everyone give a 2 sentence intro of their character and how long their have served the Inquisitor.
Thank you all for your concern, my youngest son's bug turned into a double ear infection. It's been fun, but he is finally on the mend.
Without any further ado, can all applicants with a finished character ( Venatalia Rey'a'Nor, Bachu, Ptah 7-Kappa, Keira Tarrix, Ontzlake, Ceasilia, Dynarius-382, and Maxim Ashvayne) please report to the Discussion thread.
APPLICANTS (In Development) Storm Dragon - Dynarius-382- Forge - Mechanicus - Warrior (do you have any notes on character history or personality?) BigRig107 - Helena Bellatora - Feudal - Sororitas - Crusader (any update on spending your experience? perhaps use the proposed plan in my email?) SqueezeMeNow - Hela Decima -Feral - Sororitas - Warrior (do you want me to send you a proposal for your experience/abilities?) Wanderer82 - Maxim Ashvayne - Feudal - Mutant - Chirurgeon (it looks like your profile is half converted, just let me know when it is done)
Hope everyone is coming along well. Apologies for the long delay, vomiting 3 year olds complicate life a bit.
Wanderer82 Wow, that's a crazy thought pattern, but I get how it can all spiral. Is there a way to combine two of the concepts into one? Remember, much of the character building and advancement process is rather free form, dependent more on the Aptitudes you have then any of your origin points (home world, background, role). If there is a specific Aptitude that you really want but don't get from your build, let me know how it fits in and we can discuss.
BigRig107 Sorry to hear you've been sick, hopefully you are recovering like my wife and kids.
Spazmodeus glad to offer a bit more time - hope things are coming along well.
Simeon Hmm, not sure where I came up with 11 then. Well, that means you have 1 to select in place of your second "willpower", and Agility, Defense, or Finesse would all be good choices.
Veegees Keep working on things, I am excited to see what the journey is that took you from highborn noble to clergy to serving an Inquisitor.
SqueezeMeNow In Dark Heresy 1e, you have ranks in your Class which went up with experience. The 2e system is more fluid, with the only main factor being which Aptitudes you have will determine how much experience it will cost to take a given training. I would recommend getting at least a couple Characteristic advances, a several new skills or skill advances, and a handful of talents. Just my 2p.
Storm Dragon There is no "at (insert number) Experience, your Characteristics should be (yy)", so that is kind of up to you. A 30 is a capable individual, and is the baseline at standard Character Creation. 40 is a significant milestone, and someone who has moved greatly beyond the majority of people. 50 is getting close to the limit of a 'mere mortal'. As for spending your experience, you might want to consider investing some into additional Skills or Skill Increases, as well as perhaps a couple Characteristic increases. Also, right now it appears you are 150 xp over target.
Archpaladin Zousha / everyone Everyone will start with Low Gothic, and 1 other language of your choice.
WRAP UP DATE as I have been busy on dad/husband duty the last few days, I am going to ask all applicants to have their characters put together for consideration by the end of the day on Sunday, March 3rd. There is a lot of great stuff so far!
Okay, some notes for the various applicants that are still In Progress.
Simeon I am not seeing an explanation of your expenditure of Experience. Could you add this to your character? Also, please double check over your Aptitudes, it looks like you have 1 extra. With house rules, you should have: Homeworld (1) + Background (2) +Role (5) + General (1) + Bonus (1) = for a total of 10
Tara Ravenheart your crunch appears complete, just looking for a backstory.
Archpaladin Souza Could you please add your Homeworld, Background, and Role to your stat block? From your history, any consideration for how he went from the Black Ships to serving the Inquisitor?
Storm Dragon What Role did you finalize on using for your build? Continue to flesh out both crunch and backstory (I like the cliff notes).
BigRig107 Continue working on your character. Please review the Character Creation guidelines for this game (on the Campaign page). You get a couple more aptitudes, which will be beneficial. I thought you had mentioned going towards Heavy Weapons, but now you are listing yourself a duelist - are you planning to go more melee instead?
SqueezeMeNow Continue working on your character. Please review the Character Creation guidelines for this game (on the Campaign page). You get a couple more aptitudes, which will be beneficial. To your earlier question, your starting Role grants many of your Aptitudes, which in turn determine the XP cost to take advancements (attribute increases, skill training, and talents). It looks like Warrior (i think you listed 'soldier') probably gives you a better overall spread of Aptitudes for being a martial character, so I would say it makes sense.
Wanderer82, Spazmodeus, VeeGees hope you are all still hanging around. Any update on a potential character submission?
My apologies, I typed this last night then promptly fell asleep
Good morning gamers, and happy Saturday. There are a lot of applicants who I think are ~75% done. Knowing this rules system is very crunchy and most players are not as proficient as we other with other systems (say 5e or pathfinder 1e), I am EXTENDING this recruitment through NEXT FRIDAY night, March 1st.
Please keep working on your characters, there is a lot of great concepts coming together. I am posting the list below with updated current status of applicants:
If you need help with your character, please PM me, I am happy to assist. In addition, here are some tips:
1 - please go to the Campaign tab and look over the compiled Character Creation guidelines. There are several house rules that will help you / give you more options.
2 - there is definitely an investigative component to this game, so skills can be very helpful. Do not overlook picking up several, even to just the basic Trained level (not all skills can be used untrained, and when they can it is with a -20 penalty).
3 - you are experienced veterans, but by no means master agents - you should not be able to get everything you want right now. But guess what, that's okay! Don't overthink it. You will earn more Experience and be able to buy that next talent/skill/etc soon enough.
I will by no means claim to be the foremost authority on 40k lore, which itself is a convoluted mess of inconsistencies. From my understanding, Yes, a rogue Aeldari helped to resurrect Guilliman, but even he doesn't trust them. Most of the Aeldari are still at odds with the Imperium, just as most of the Imperium think all xenos should die. But comparing them to pretty much everything else out there, they can be an ally of convenience.
Of course the meme-verse has Guilliman and Yvraine madly in love, making hybrid eldar-marine babies!!!!
As I mentioned before, you serve an Inquisitor who is neither a hardliner, nor a wild radical. A couple psykers, some others who dance in the grey, sure. But Xenos and Daemonhosts might be across his line...
Storm Dragon Dark Heresy 2e is essentially the 1st edition game rewritten into the Only War ruleset. So while things from Lathe Worlds will need some (possibly significant) conversion, there are many options in the Only War books that will work seamlessly.
The most of the "techpriest" talents in Only War core rulebook made it into the Dark Heresy 2e core rulebook. However, there are quite a few more options in the supplements "Hammer of the Emperor" and "Shield of Humanity" that will likely help with what you are looking for!
ANNOUNCEMENT I have consolidated the updates to Character Creation onto the Campaign page. Please review if you have any questions.
Archpaladin Zousha You rolled a '1' in WS, Agi, and Fel. I would recommend rerolling those three dice. Then you can swap 2 rolled totals with two others. Finally, you have +5 to add to four characteristics.
SqueezeMeNow Arbites can definitely build into solid combat tanks that are also strong interrogators. And yes, being able to do both ranged and melee is wise. Remember, Cover is your friend.
Storm Dragon are they available as traits, or talents?? Please send me a PM with the details and I will review.
Trawets71 at a quick glance, Bachu looks complete. I will do a more thorough review soon.
Wow, looks like we have a lot of potential psykers in the mix. Maybe the Inquisitor is a little more radical than I had intended...
Archpaladin Zousha The Astra Telepathica Background grants the following contingent trait:
Tested on Terra: If the character takes the Psyker elite advance during character creation, he also gains the Sanctioned trait (see page 138).
To become a psyker, you need to take the Psyker Elite Advance. This can be gained by spending 300 XP, or by taking the Mystic role at character creation (which grants it for free).
So, you could become a psyker in the following paths:
1 - Astra Telepathica Background + Mystic role = sanctioned psyker (Psy lvl 2)
2 - Astra Telepathica Background + any other role + 300 XP = sanctioned psyker (Psy lvl 2)
3 - any other background + Mystic role = rogue psyker (Psy lvl 1)
4 - any other background + any other role + 300 XP = rogue psyker (Psy lvl 1)
Storm Dragon you can definitely take talents to utilize and embrace your various implants and such, I'm not sure if it would get to the level of an electro-priest.
Last Cleric I am happy to consider both versions of your character as we move into the decision making process.
Yes, I'm allowing you to flop two sets of stats now. Later today I will compile the original character creation rules with the in thread updates, and put them on the campaign page. I love seeing some people interested in this recruitment!
Character Creation Updates
I am feeling generous, so if it is helpful, you may swap a second set of Characteristics to better fit the concept of your character. In addition, I am increasing the starting experience to 2500 xp.
Lion Cleric / Talents from Background
I hear your question about some of the Backgrounds that grant a trait, so I thought I would do another once over:
As we can see, quite a broad spread with no real consistency. Regarding the two traits involved - by itself, the Mechanicus Implant trait is purely fluff, with no in-game benefits. Only once experience is spent to gain future abilities does it serve a purpose by allowing a character to qualify for certain talents. The Sanctioned trait, on the other hand, increases a psyker's power level by 1, which is very significant. So, I will stick with all Backgrounds granting 3 talents (2 weapon proficiency + 1 "revelant talent"), with the exception of 'Astra Telepathica' IF the character is also gaining the 'Psyker' elite advance (which triggers the addition of the Sanctioned trait), in which case they only get 2 Talents from their background.
Archpaladin Zousha you can definitely use one of the specific homeworlds you mentioned. They have some fun flavor, and let's face it, with warp travel, you can be from literally anywhere.
SqueezeMeNow the option of a sororitas crusader would definitely build a melee character, though I do want to mention there is another applicant currently working on a feudal world sororitas crusader (not that you both can't apply with the same). If you want to go primarily as a melee character, a few other good backgrounds to consider are Imperial Guard, Adeptus Arbites, or Mutant. Any of those would pair well with either the Warrior or Assassin role, depending on what feel you wanted the melee to have. Another thought off of Mutant would be Fanatic, grants Offense and Toughness aptitudes and can spend Fate to gain Hatred talent against specific foe.
* Imperial Guard Warrior - classic tough-as-nails grizzled sergeant
* Imperial Guard Assassin - deep stealth specialist operator
* Adeptus Arbites Warrior - interplanetary police swat officer
* Adeptus Arbites Assassin - interplanetary police "problem solver"
* Mutant Warrior - tribal hero "blessed by the god-emperor"
* Mutant Assassin - twisted survivalist who learned to maximize his gifts
* Mutant Fanatic - hates self as warp-touched mutant, devoted to proving worth to the emperor through service
Just some ideas. Also, four of your characteristics were supposed to start with "2d10 +25", so you essentially have +5 to add to for characteristics.
I am still looking at wrapping up recruitment in a week and a half. Everyone who has expressed interest, could you dot in with how your applications are coming?
Archpaladin Zousha Trawets and Lion Cleric hit it pretty on the head with their explanations. You can generally follow the path below.
1 - select homeworld
2 - roll characteristcs
3 - select background
4 - select role
5 - spend experience points
6 - flesh out details
7 - equip character
SqueezeMeNow & Steffanio read the above posts by Lion Cleric and Trawets, then use the template I have posted below if you are interested in rolling initial characteristics.
How to Roll Your Characteristics:

[Dice=Ifl]2d10+20[/dice ]
Campaign Adjustments
4 characteristics start at +25 (instead of +20)
May reroll 3 individual d10
May swap the rolls from one characteristic to another
TheWorstFighter I would like applicants to be able to post once per weekday, and once per weekend.
I have created a applicant spreadsheet and the Campaign Resources folder. As I have been inputting things into it, a few things popped into my mind:
Simeon you did not roll your final Characteristic, Influence.
Starting Talents as I began to add Starting Talents gained from Background, I realized some gave as few as one, others as many as three. As such, I will be rebalancing it as follows: - all Backgrounds grant 3 talents:
-- weapon training (choose two: low tech, las, solid projectile). In addition, if your background granted another weapon training (flame, chain, etc), you may take this in leiu of one of those listed above, or in addition to as your third starting talent. Please note that 'chain' and 'shock' both still require 'low tech' first.
-- a 'thematically-appropriate' talent. many backgrounds already have one, it can be this or something else if you find something that legitimately falls in line with your character background (mechadendrite use for mechanicum for example)
TheWorstFighter welcome to the thread. Two notes on your characteristics, first four of your choice will start at 25 instead of 20. You may also reroll 3d10. Finally, you may swap the roll for one characteristic with another.
In reviewing your favorable / unfavorable characteristics, I'm not sure if you meant to be from a Shrine world but made a mistake and swapped perception and fellowship, or if you intended to be a sororitas from a Daemon world?
Everyone, after you roll your characteristics, don't forget to roll your Divination, Wounds, and Emperor's Blessing for your Fate Threshold.
Lion Cleric are you selecting Las or Solid Projectile for your starting Weapon Training (you noted both on your character)? I noted you switched Agi and Per rolls, and if I did the math correct, your four '25s' are: BS, Per, Wil, & Fel.
Tara Ravenheart yes, that all is good on your characteristics. Equipment will be handled once a party is selected, don't stress on it now.
Archpaladin Zousha / GAME TIMELINE we will be playing at the dawn of the 42nd millenium, which is now "no longer the 42 millenium (see the Chronostrife)". But yes, right after the Cicatrix Maledictum was formed. The Celixis Sector stands at the far end of the Segmentum Obscurus, 'not far' from the collapse of Cadia, so the region has definitely been effected in some ways.
Archpaladin Zousha by all means, hop on board. The system is a little cumbersome to start, but once you get the feel it actually runs pretty smooth. I recommend you use the character creation tool linked above to play around with concepts. It just helps with the initial basics, not spending any experience, but it is useful for quickly mixing and matching homeworld-background-role combinations.
@Lion Cleric yes, i am cool with the malignancy swap.
@BigRig we will be using the Calixis Sector, in the Segmentum Obscurus, but I will not be running it rigid. Players are more than welcome to create their own homeworlds and past events, don't feel constrained just by published material.
I am working on a mobile device, but later I will add some more resources to the Campaign to assist with character creation.
This is a great mix so far. I'm excited to see how all these characters flesh out. One of the nice changes going into dark heresy 2e was the expansion of the character creation process to include homeworld, background, and role. The trio allows for a myriad of different character concepts. Here are three "mechanicus" characters:
- forge world mechanicus sage: the classic tech-priest
- voidborn mechanicus ace: master crafter and pilot / operator of tech vehicles
- penal colony mechanicus warrior: surgically altered robo-soldier
- feral world mechanicus assassin: vat growth, bio-enhanced techno thief / hitman
But even if the same home world, background, and role are all taken, a great deal of difference can be established with the characteristics role, and how experiences spent on advances and abilities.
All that is to say, don't be afraid to use the same background, homeworld, or role as someone else in the character you're playing with.
Characteristics I forgot, you also have the option to swap two Characteristics rolled scores.
@Tara It looks like you forgot to pick the four characteristics that start at 25. You may update accordingly.
Haha, of course, I give this broad, setting based intro, but don't give any details about the storyline itself!
You will be playing as established agents serving the Inquisitor Artemis Bouchon, a member of the Ordo Hereticus. He has been an inquisitor since his elevation from interrogator more than 5 decades past. An enigmatic man, Artemis employs a wide variety of tactics in his investigations, allowing your characters to come from all manner of backgrounds. You may have been part of his for 10 years, 9 months, or even only a few days. That is up to you.
The game itself will involve investigation, puzzles, roleplay, and of course brutal combat.
In the suffocating embrace of the void, where forgotten stars flicker and die, the ever-encroaching torment of Chaos stretches out it's wicked tendrils, corrupting world and man alike. At times it is subtle, spreading slowly - barely noticed, like an infection in a festering wound. In other moments the unspeakable horrors are far too real, though seemingly defy the very reality they tear asunder. These are the terrors of the 41st Millenium.
Yet in this utter darkness of corruption and madness a beacon shines across the Immaterium - The Emperor's radiant light, an eternal hope for his faithful servants. Called from the misbegotten corners of the Imperium of Man, you are agents of the Inquisition, the most sacred Holy Ordos who seek to confront xenos, daemons, and heretics.
I seek those willing to traverse the abyssal depths of the Imperium's darkest secrets, to confront nightmares that would drive lesser men to madness. Do you possess the fortitude to face the abyss and emerge unscathed, knowing there will be no respite from the unrelenting horrors that lurk in every shadow? Are you willing to sacrifice everything in service to the Imperium, for the path you tread is fraught with peril, and the price of failure is damnation? Then inquire within, and join the ranks of those who wield the chain sword, bolter, and flamer in delivering the Righteous Wrath of the Emperor.
Just remember, in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, and only the faithful will survive.
Greetings all, this is a recruitment for the Warhammer 40,000 RPG - Dark Heresy (2nd edition)
Character Creation:
Source Books all Dark Heresy (2e). If there is something in a DH 1e book, or something from one of the sister games (Rogue Trader, Only War, etc) that does not exist in 2e, speak with me and we can consider some kind of update.
I have also included this Handy Character Creation Reference Sheet to assist.
Similarly, this Character Creation tool can be helpful to quickly review starting options.
Characteristics We will be rolling for characteristics per the Core Rulebook. However, to reflect being experienced veterans, four Characteristics will start with a base of 25, and the remaining six with a base of 20. You will also get to reroll three d10 (these could either be used split between three different characteristics, or applied two for one characteristic and one for another).
Experience you will start with 1800 experience to spend on Character Advancements.
Starting Talents any Background that grants a starting talent of Weapon Proficiency (Chain or Shock) will be adjusted to (Low Tech). Both Chain and Shock would require significant advanced training that would build on the basics of melee weapon training. The others could be purchased with experience.
Aptitudes in addition to those Aptitudes gained from your Homeworld, Background, and Role, you may chose 1 free Aptitude - this reflects your character's own unique nature.
Equipment there will be some modifications to starting equipment, as some build are wildly unbalanced. I also have cobbled together an expanded armory from resources found online and from much of the older 1e material. I will share it on the Campaign page.
Character Background:
I ask that each applicant develop a Character Background that includes the character's origin and past life, how they came to serve the Inquisitor, and a few personality traits. It does not have to be a book, but enough flavor to flesh out the character beyond the numbers.
Recruitment Timeline As 40k and Dark Heresy are not the primary focus of the Paizo website, I am not entirely sure how many interested applicants I will get. As of right now, I am going to tentatively say Recruitment will end at 11:59 pm EST on Friday, February 23rd. This will allow for the weekend to finalize any last adjustments to characters, and hopefully announce a retinue on Monday, February 26th.
I am sure I missed some things, so please, ask any and all questions.
I was interested in the 1930's game when you proposed in back in the summer, and am still interested now. Of course, if by some small miracle you opt for the 40k RPG, that would be my first choice.
Wow, this sounds like an intriguing concept. I would definitely apply for either ruleset, though if I had a preference it would be for PF 2e (simply to get more experience with it).
Damn, was trying to get an idea together and it looks like the recruitment is already closed. If I can get something submitted in the next day or two, would you give it consideration? If so, would something like "fate" work for the aura?
The weather in the Heartlands has been especially miserable, making travel across the Dales more difficult than usual. In the end, the below six adventurers find themselves standing before the House of the High Councilor on the 22nd of Mirtul...
Linnae the Diviner - Rissa Farseer Female Rock Gnome Foresight Wizard (Scroll Scholar) 4
Those listed above, please report over to the Discussion thread. To everyone else, thank you so much for your creativity and interest. Should any slots open up, I will be in touch.
Good morning one and all,
Thank you all for your continued patience. I appreciate all the responses I have received to the PMs I've sent out. I apologize for the continued delay, I sent out several of the PMs while I was still in the mountains in Maine, and apparently with our spotty internet two of them didn't go through. They have been now been resent, and I'm waiting responses from those players. As soon as I hear back, I will be posting the final roster.
I want to thank you all again for so many amazing characters. It's been a very difficult decision making process. In a perfect world I'd try to run a couple games, but I think it's best for now to focus on one. If things go smoothly for a few months, maybe I'll consider adding a second down the road.
Thank you for so many great applications! I had a blast this weekend gaming with some old friends that had not all been together since before COVID, and am now even more excited to launch this game!
There are a lot of tough decisions to make ahead. I have messaged some of you with questions, and will be sending out several more today. If you don't receive a question, don't worry, it simply means everything on your character makes sense to me.
I look forward to hearing all your responses, then assembling the final party.
Now that Paizo's website is running a bit more smoothly (no idea why there would be any increase in web traffic right now....), I just wanted to bounce in and catch up with everyone.
Raam Fargis you have a completed submission, so you are all set right now.
Storm Dragon Forester is a solidly acceptable archetype for your free option. AdamWarnock and Lilliane Nightshade are correct in their assessment of how to handle the "free points" for race.
Toptomcat Hmm, all three are at the dangerous power level, but not necessarily unusable. A couple tweaks could put us in line. Eldritch Poisoner and Gun Chemist both give great dynamic flavor to the alchemist, but their core alternate ability + bomb would be a little much. An easy solution could be both pull from the same pool of alchemist reagants (your Int+Level uses per day). The only issue that happens with Enlightened Paladin (like the other classes that swap in a 'monk' format) is the charisma to AC while retaining medium or heavy armor. If the Confident Defense ability is adopted as written (not free, so loose medium and heavy armor prof), then I don't see the rest of the archetype being an issue at all.
I also decided to reformat AdamWarnock's much appreciated character list into a "broad strokes" party role format. Hopefully I did not miss anyone.

I will be traveling with friends the next few days, and will pop in when I can. I look forward to seeing people finish up their concepts that are still remaining.
Wow, that sounds like a full rebuild. I would definitely be up for seeing the rules, and if you have need of another guardsman, possibly throwing my name up for enlistment (assuming I can handle the custom rules).
As you have a week to go before you pick the second party, is it still okay to apply? I was interested, but have been busy running my own recruitment and did not apply before the initial deadline. If so, I have three concepts in my mind right now:
Oracle / slayer - prophet of doom (who is an avatar of death)
Oracle / summoner - prophet of doom (who can call forth an 'avatar' of death)
Alchemist/Fighter - Jekyll/Hyde but Jekyll has embraced Hyde as his ally
If you give the go ahead I will work the three down to one. Thank you for your consideration.
