I am a big Black Library / Dan Abnett fan, and am curious if anyone is running any 40k games on these boards? I know the fantasy flight systems pretty well, but am also interested in trying out Wrath & Glory if that's more people's speed.
Obviously I understand this is primarily a Pathfinder forum, but thought I would ask.

I have run Dark Heresy in the past, might be up for giving it a try again.
Actually, Cubicle 7 (current publisher of Wrath & Glory) is supposed to be releasing a new d100 system call Imperium Maledictum this month. It's supposed to be the successor to the older Fantasy Flight games and take some influence from their current edition of Warhammer Fantasy roleplay.
Is there anyone else that would be interested before I start putting together some ideas?

Yeah, I had just joined that game a couple years ago (early COVID) that folded shortly after. Have played in a few others on these boards years ago, so it's possible we have played together more than once.
Cubicle 7 just posted a Tweet asking for people to vote for Imperium Maledictum as the most anticipated new rpg, so hopefully that means it's releasing soon. Not sure whether it would be better to start a recruitment with dark heresy 2e or wait to see the new rule set. Thoughts?

I have played & run Only War games; never played Deathwatch, Dark Heresy, or Wrath & Glory but own the books. Also picked up a Blades in the Dark hack that is 40k/Inquisition themed.
There's a long-running Only War campaign here on the boards called "Welcome to the Guard" that I used to play in but unfortunately had to drop, I think it's still going though.
@Wanderer82 I would be interested in playing some DH2 if you did decide to run it, I've heard its the best-designed of all the FFG 40k rpgs.

I've always wanted to know how to play these games, especially Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy, plus I also have access to Wrath and Glory, and watched Narrative Declaration's WarHams campaign, run by Paizo's very own Thurston Hillman!

Ooh, I wonder if Thurston's contributing to this one too! He wrote some stuff for Wrath and Glory in addition to GMing WarHams!

Dark Heresy's d100 based, so it's pretty easy to pick up if you're familiar with any of those.
That's just it: I may have access to the books, but have never actually played them so I wouldn't say I'm FAMILIAR with d100 styled games...All my experience is with d20 styled games.

Dark Heresy 2e is definitely the most composed of the d100 40k RPGs. The original dark heresy was flavorful but rough, and with each successive rule set (rogue trader, death watch, black crusade, only war), they works to clean it up. Dark heresy to e was the return to the beginning after everything that I've been learned along the way. It was actually moving in a pretty solid direction before it got canceled.
P taking into account how cubicle 7. Up wrath and Glory, what they've done with Warhammer fantasy RPG, and where dark heresy 2e left off, I am cautiously excited to see what happens with Imperium Maledictum. That said, even if the rules release this month, it will only be the core set with no expansions. Probably smartest to start with dark heresy 2e, then make a move if and when we think the new system is good.
Seems like there's definitely interest, let me put some ideas together.

Huh, I've been summoned!
(I am running said Only War campaign, although we are currently quite slow because my free time is basically non-existing currently due two two kids and a house project but we're determined to keep going).
If anyone is interested in Only War (maybe, eventually Dark Heresy) game with a HEAVILY modified OnlyWar system, shoot me a PM (or reply here) and I'll add you to my list of lads ready to fill open slots.
Be warned that I absolutely love tinkering with TTRPG rule-sets and am actually in the progress of writing my own (unofficial, obviously) 40k system I fully intent to eventually switch over to, so there is that.
We are down to currently 4 effective, with an additional one I keep boting for a while longer before retiring him.
I'll absolutely try to follow this one and lurk around, since I certainly should not apply with my lack of time at this point of time.

@Ghost of War: I played Ashora Kail back when you started the campaign, I'd love to be added back to your waitlist.
@LastGhost I'm also not opposed to doing a "game swap", though I'm more interested in running something like Icon, Godbound, or Blades in the Dark personally. I recently attempted to run a Lancer game on these boards but it didn't work out.

Noted!
If you have, PM me your discord name please, as I run all ooc and q/a stuff via a dedicated discord server.

Hmmm... Let's see.
I think the tl:Dr is:
Everything but the very core (roll-under d100, aptitudes Attributes, skills) was at least touched to some degree.
You will still notice the base game.
- everything combat in particular was greatly modified, especially: explosives, flamers, ranged fire modes, suppressive fire, fear+morale, weapon stats, range (using an increment system similar to PF instead of short, normal, long extreme) and properties
- Available (combat) actions were changed. Some were folded into another, others split, new ones added. Some were coupled (especially movement actions can be combined with various other actions for combat to become more dynamic).
- quite a few changes to base "classes", mostly to give more choices in the selection of starting gear and talents/skills as well as additional special skills.
- many advanced classes got a major rework because many rely on the comrade system (see below)
- various talents got reworked and new ones added
- complete removal of the comrade subsystem. Everyone was forgetting about them until they needed them for a skill/talent or they died from AOE...
