in the race document, it says under the sun/gold elf that they gain 3 pts of elf abilities. for the 3 bonus pts, we ignore the replacement text?
example:Woodcraft: Elves know the deep secrets of the wild like no others, especially secrets of the forests. Elves with this racial trait gain a +1 racial bonus on Knowledge (nature) and Survival checks. In forest terrain, these bonuses improve to +2. This racial trait replaces elven magic.
we would still keep elve magic, right?

Rolling for HP! I think I'll use my favored class bonus for more Prescience rather than HP, considering how nice our GM is being about making sure we have enough to not die instantly.

A Paladin's dream. I like this one. It was mainly to explain a change from Cleric to Paladin and it helped solidified a couple of traits about Joanna that have carried through even when she's been at her lowest, with one, understandable exception.

@TheLastGhost - Most of my RP is on the Giants in the Playground forum. You can find my profile (and from there all the games I play/DM) at the link I provided. I'm currently running two games, playing in several more, and always on the lookout for more.
On MythWeavers I am active in their Living Pathfinder Society (LPF) group with a couple of PCs. There have been other games, but most don't last as long. Again, the link will send you to my profile.
None of the games I've played here on Paizo's forums have lasted very long - DMs quit and the game dies. I'm excited and looking forward to this one lasting for longer!

Apologies, crazy weekend at work and the boys had the flu at home. Catching up on questions:
Linnea you could definitely get a Tressym with the Improved Familiar feat. With all the bonus feats I've added, that should be easily attainable.
Temerith 2 HP below average for the game's HP system, but 4.5 HP above standard. The benefits of this method.
Rissa Scroll scholar is perfectly acceptable. "Defensive Training, Lesser" is the standard option that gnomes and dwarves get. "Defensive Training, Greater" is from the Race Builder tool and is a +2 dodge bonus to AC. The tree gnome in 3rd edition had such a bonus against anyone medium or larger, so I included this option for the tree gnome to harken back to it's routes. Charming diviner is 2 RP, and definitely is a quirky combo. And I listed under Rock Gnome you could use Int or Cha, so you are good.
Grimdog Correct. I power balanced all the races to 13 rp. The base elf costs 10, so that leaves 3 to spend. Elven Magic itself is a 3 point ability, so something that replaces it is also worth 3 points. So in this case you can add Woodcraft and not loose Elven Magic. Any other racial abilities you want will require you to trade out per normal (as woodcraft used up your 3rp).
ouch, that is a poor roll... But still above average for 3d6 when you add the +9!
Veegees yes, and very fitting choice for your character concept.
EitR & Weapon Prof Yes, I do believe the elephant in the room rules imply that you get the starting weapon proficiencies listed for your class. Then, you're able to take a feet to gain a weapon group. Prior to this, only taking simple weapon proficiency gave you a category. Both martial and exotic only grant proficiency in a single weapon for a feat. So getting a whole weapon group, including it's "exotics" is a pretty good deal. And if someone wants to use a weapon that falls outside a group, just talk to me, and we will figure it out.
I spent some time this weekend looking through some of the character stories and builds. Really impressed with what's being submitted. Thank you all for your interest thus far, it's going to be a challenging few days next week after I close recruitment. That said, we have one week to go!

But I always thought it was a jerk move to abandon your faithful familiar, who is utterly devoted to you and has followed you into mortal peril, just because something new and shiny comes along. :( I was going to try and sidestep the issue by starting with a tressym, but according to RAW that won't work. What to do, what to do...

You could either view it as your familiar 'levels up' into its true form (I had a crow that turned into a nosi psychopomp once, which admittedly was easy enough to justify.) Maybe have a normal cat that suddenly grows wings? Or you could just... not have a familiar for a level, take Improved when you get to 5th, and get your flying feline in one fell swoop.
Also handy that if your tressym dies you can keep its tongue as an ingredient for poison cures. Unless it burns in a horrible, horrible fire. Or is hit by acid. Or toasted by electricity. Or decapitated and the killer takes the head. Still, fun pet!

When he was 8 years old, his parents relocated to the city of Daerlun. His mother, Mireen, is a priestess of Sune at the House of Firehair in Daerlun. His father is Fiero, a spice merchant who travells frequently, and is now newly elected a bergun of the city - opposing corruption, possibly at his own peril. Amaris was raised in the House of Firehair, but his rapidly boiling temper made him less than ideal in the role of a priest of Sune, but the clergy in the temple saw his passion and faith, channeling him into a warrior of the faith. He's tall, and wiry, with the olive skin showing the mix of Turmish and Sembian in his origin. Short black har, and a clean-shaven look offset his bright red and orange clothing makring him as an acolyte of Sune.
Amaris is fiercely loyal, and strong in his convictions. He has taken the mantle of challenging the followers of the Gods of Fury when appropriate and battling against those who seek to mar beauty with their own perversions. He is a passionate man, given to speaking his mind freely, and willing to turn his disapproving stare onto others as needed to create the response he wants. He is equally comfortable creating art as he is creating violence - painting and playing the lyre allow him space to observe and gather information as needed in sensitive situations.
Recently Amaris was dispatched with other members of the church to Saerloon, where they uncovered a cabal of slavers operating from a tavern there who'd kidnapped a pair of young Sembians from Daerlun. Amaris and company wound up tangling with part of the Eyeless Mask in the city, which is at least aligned with the Red Wizards of Thay. Amaris, upon successfully freeing the captives (and several dozen others) was inducted into the Order of the Sisters and Brothers of the Ruby Rose.

Adventuring 'companion' - Lissi a cleric of Sune who accompanied Amaris to Saerloon, they are close friends and have spent much time together breaking slaver rings in Sembia. She's a similarly tempered Sunite, but more in the caring/love/beauty side, rather than the violence can be beautiful side of things.
Stamrik - a Dwarf mercenary whom was hired for the Saerloon mission by the church. He's a warrior through and through, he regards the Suneites with some contempt at times given their penchant for the finer things in life, but values coin and has developed a burgeoning friendship with both Lissi and Amaris.
Ca'el Windforth - a half-elven bard who was involved in the Saerloon mission, he handled the other parts of it that Amaris couldn't (breaking and entering) a light-hearted bard who came recommended from the church, but was really disappointed it wasn't the Zhentarim who were behind the kidnapping and slavery ring. He's a little obsessed one might say.

Okay, here's Rissa's appearance and personality! I'm still working on her background and contacts. Coming up with appropriate gnomish names for her relatives is hard.
For weapons, Rissa usually carries a light crossbow with a quiver of bolts and a dagger at her waist. These are just for emergencies, though. In regular combat, the gnome prefers to rely on her spells or the wide assortment of scrolls and wands tucked into her vest and cloak pockets.
Despite this, the gnome remains cheerful and optimistic. She's sure that she can figure out a way around just about any problem, given time, information, and resources. She enjoys the company of most other races, welcoming the opportunity to learn about their culture and way of life. However, Rissa respects her relatives' wish for privacy. She does not use her family name outside High Dale, nor does she say much about the gnomish community there other than to encourage people interested in gnomish crafts to visit the weekly market in Highcastle.
Rissa has learned over the years that other races don't appreciate the fine art of the prankster. She usually saves those impulses for her enemies, making use of divination and illusion magic to play with their minds. When angered, though, the gnome has been known to play nasty tricks on the perpetrator. She is a patient person with a long fuse, but that fuse does have an end.
Like most gnomes, she enjoys crafting, although she chooses not to do it for a living. Her craft of choice is jewelry, both gemcutting and setting those gems in gold or silver. Rissa always carries a piece or two of semiprecious stone to carve in the evenings after making camp. Of course, she also carries several journals to write down interesting things she's learned that day.
Her faith is both multifaceted and casual. While Rissa identifies most with Oghma as god of knowledge (and thinks that spending the afterlife in the multiverse's biggest library sounds pretty great), she also venerates Mystra and the gnomish pantheon, including Gond under the name Nebelun. The gnomes of Faerun believe that Nebelun Wonderbringer was originally a gnomish deity whose worship was adopted by the big folk. She wears her agate holy symbol as a reminder of her parents who made it for her, and to convince the Oghmanyte priests at Highmoon's Leaves of Learning temple that she really is one of their faith so she can get the Oghmanyte discount on library services.

Ahrendue’s loveliness is more than just skin deep, which only magnifies her flawless skin, violet eyes, and jet black hair with glints like stars in the night sky.
She turns heads wherever she goes, a serene, effortless beauty who can intimidate and tie the tongues of even the most determined suitors.
She stands 5 foot, 5 inches tall and weighs a slender 125 pounds.
Her favorite colors are as seasonal as the plumage of the migratory songbirds favored by her goddess and she has several separate outfits, which she accents by wearing matching scarves and feathers in her hair.
She looks utterly harmless normally, but she is never unarmed while she can wear a chain shirt under her clothing and wears an innocent looking bladed scarf. When adventuring, however, Ahren is all business, donning form fitting scale mail and carrying a dangerous-looking glaive she’s trained with for several years in her temple.
Personality
Ahrendue’s laugh and spirit can warm the coldest heart, proving both infectious and unflappable. She has a vivacious, positive attitude about everything, fully believing she and her friends can overcome any setback with time, thought, and patience. She has an absolute zeal for making friends and influencing people for the better. Supportive to a fault, she always puts others before herself and she has a genuine concern for everyone’s happiness, going out of her way to bring cheer to others during darker times.
She likes to encourage the creation and support of works of art and their creators; treating them as worshipful in their own right.
Midnight is her time of worship, and dancing dreamily under the brilliant spray of stars is her form.

Background
Ahrendue Sarrieth grew up as an orphan in the temple of the Firehair in the northern city of Silverymoon. Her destitute mother left her there, counting on the followers of the Goddess of Love and Passion to look after her child.
They did exactly that, taking her in as a daughter of the church to train in the ways of art and music.
Ahren’s mother passed away sometime later, a fact the young acolyte discovered after joining the clergy and using divinations to find her. Ahren never knew her Moon Elven father, but studied the elven language and history in the hope of someday making contact with him. To that end, she carries messages between the temples of her goddess in an effort to ask other elves about him. To pay for these trips, she paints portraits of sitting nobles and sometimes teaches history, dance and music to their privileged children.
Always eager to share her talents and ethos, she has taken an assistant teaching position at the Lady’s College in Silverymoon; she teaches both music and dance to sorcerers and bards. From her position there she is able to hear rumors among the students and teachers; and sometimes is chosen to accompany an older or more frail Professor in their duties.

Think I've settled on a Human or Half-Orc Hunter (Forester as free archetype).
Forester gives me Favored Terrain (lower progression than ranger), Animal Focus as an always-on ability, the ability to share Teamwork Feats with allies instead of just my Animal Companion, a few Bonus Feats, Evasion/Improved, and Breath of Life 1/day.
Let me know if this is too much; this is about the average amount of class feature swapping for a Hunter archetype. I had also considered Feral Hunter.
Quick question, what exactly is meant by "choose 3 RP of Orc etc. abilities" text? Is that additional abilities like the alt racial traits, or do you pick 3 RP from the list on the doc?
@Storm Dragon: I'm not the GM, but if I had to guess, I would say that you can get 5 RP worth of the Half-Orc alternate racial traits of your choice without swapping anything. The lists are suggestions. Another way to look at it is that you build the normal Half-Orc, then add on Half-Orc alternate traits until you hit 13 RP.

I picked from among the alternate racial traits listed below the original race, using the RP value they were worth, and didn't do the normally required negative replace feature (because they are free). I think that's what most have been doing. I was able to figure out the RP value by finding the RP value of what each ability is replacing and figured they'd be of equal value. Then I went up to the 10rp (half-orc) racial template on the document he made and found the values he put for each racial feature. That gave me the proper Rp value for the alternate racial traits. Hope that makes sense.

Now that Paizo's website is running a bit more smoothly (no idea why there would be any increase in web traffic right now....), I just wanted to bounce in and catch up with everyone.
Raam Fargis you have a completed submission, so you are all set right now.
Storm Dragon Forester is a solidly acceptable archetype for your free option. AdamWarnock and Lilliane Nightshade are correct in their assessment of how to handle the "free points" for race.
Toptomcat Hmm, all three are at the dangerous power level, but not necessarily unusable. A couple tweaks could put us in line. Eldritch Poisoner and Gun Chemist both give great dynamic flavor to the alchemist, but their core alternate ability + bomb would be a little much. An easy solution could be both pull from the same pool of alchemist reagants (your Int+Level uses per day). The only issue that happens with Enlightened Paladin (like the other classes that swap in a 'monk' format) is the charisma to AC while retaining medium or heavy armor. If the Confident Defense ability is adopted as written (not free, so loose medium and heavy armor prof), then I don't see the rest of the archetype being an issue at all.

I also decided to reformat AdamWarnock's much appreciated character list into a "broad strokes" party role format. Hopefully I did not miss anyone.
Depending on your labeling mindset, Raam is intended to be very capable as a Striker (Combatant?) and Infiltrator (Utility Flex?). He's not "tanky" or anything, but I hope that he's resilient enough to survive melee-assassination tactics. Once we purchase gear I also intend him to use Poison somewhat liberally to provide a little bit of an advantage where I can get it.
I would have tried a blaster, but with occult classes disallowed my favorite kineticist builds were off the table :'(
