A bit delayed, but chronicle looks good - thank you! Going back to a conversation I missed out on earlier, Fran is currently at 44 exp with the Lions chronicle so I believe she's on track with everyone else in terms of level and leveling. Got her profile updated with those small things; will get checked in and ready for our newest adventure! Enjoy the con, Vardarel! I've never been to Origins but it's within driving distance (about 5 & 1/2 hours, give or take) so who knows what the future might hold? This week's RL adventure has been all about trying to get some trees removed from our property so hopefully the adventure here will be less stressful :P

"Ooh, it's not easy to not hurt someone with magic," Fran frets; she'd certainly rather not kill the goblins but keeping them alive certainly requires some creative use of her resources. She briefly considers her options before deciding to channel regenerative power into Bella (and by extension, Khiari). Then she conjures another protective shield around herself as she looks around the cavern, trying to figure out if the source for the goblins' enchantment is nearby.

Hey folks, finally checking in. First off, I want to apologize for dropping off the face of the Earth for the last several weeks. Everything basically snowballed - work/life busyness cut into the free time more than usual, then when I *had* the free time I'd either be tired/unable to focus on writing or had other things seeking my time, and so the longer I went without posting the harder it got to want to sit down and post even though I knew I needed to at least check in with folks if nothing else. I definitely have a better understanding of and sympathy for others who've ghosted games and then later returned to explain how things happened and they fell into a shame/embarrassment cycle mental block about the lack of posting. It also doesn't help that there was and still is an undercurrent of me just not really feeling Pathfinder in general as of late. Even with 2e simplifying the game in a lot of ways that I actually appreciate and enjoy, it's felt like there's just so much to keep track of and every time I turn around there's another 3 or 4 classes coming out or another big setting book or it's already time for another brand new year of PFS and the usual metaplot to go with it. So I've been in a weird place where I've missed the *people* but not...really missing playing all that much. Which also made me feel guilty, even though I logically know it shouldn't. All that said, my interest level in hobbies tends to wax and wane over time so my Pathfinder lull isn't likely to be permanent. It's taken me longer than I expected just to try and figure out what I wanted to say in this post but I know you guys have been waiting on/botting Fran before closing out the current adventure. Feel free to go ahead and bot but if you'll bear with me a little longer, I'll try and get to that myself tomorrow/later today (since it's 3am local time as I type this). After that, I'll try and figure out what I want to do when it comes to playing and our campaign together, if that's okay. Thanks again and I'm sorry for worrying everyone.

"I don't really have any good magics for traps or warnings...but, um, I can help with building the watchtower," Fran offers, rolling up her sleeves. "Many hands make lighter work, after all!" She looks around again, considering the camp layout. "Once that's done, I'm happy to help with walking patrols. I can't see very well in the dark, but Mister Midnight is another story - and he can fly so he can see up over the fences too!"
Season of Ghosts
Hey folks, this may (or may not) seem abrupt but I've given it some thought and I believe that it would be best for me to put this game on an indefinite hiatus. I certainly set out with the best of intentions for this game and was quite excited about it (and I still do really dig the AP's story), but found myself getting waylaid by RL stuff (mostly good, thankfully) which then snowballed...and here we are nearly a month out since my last in-game post. That's no way to tell a proper story and that's certainly no way to keep people engaged, either. So my thought process is to put a pin in this for now and perhaps, hopefully, come back to it at a future time where life is calmer and I'm in a better position to give the game the time and attention it deserves. When and if that happens, I'll send out PMs to see who is interested in picking things back up - and if there's no interest, that would be more than understandable. Does this work okay for everyone?

And we're off! You'll quickly notice that some of my links take you somewhere that isn't Google Slides. I'm excited to say that I've been working on a separate campaign page for the game, which you can find the main landing spot for here ---> Season of Ghosts Campaign. This is something a little extra that I set up in order to better help organize information about the game since there are plenty of names and locations, among other things, to keep track of. With that being said, this won't replace the use of Google Slides for more immediate things such as combat maps and the like - just think of it as a supplement to the game and hopefully a way for everyone to be able to find information more easily instead of having to search through Gameplay all the time. Please feel free to look around the campaign site at your leisure - given the setup and nature of this AP there's a lot of basic information about Willowshore and its citizens that everyone is privy to right from the get-go. And of course I'll be adding to it as the game progresses; I'll do my best to mention when there's something new worth checking out!

Nicole follows her teammates out of the water while Vardarel focuses on the wounded Yellow Shark. Both he and his ghostly longbow open fire, with their combined efforts finally bringing Yellow down for good! Red Shark turns its attention to the easy prey still in the water and ascends, breaking the surface to strike at Roark. It bites down on the tengu and finding him tasty, immediately releases to try and take another bite. Luckily Roark is able to avoid this second attack. Roark takes 9 piercing damage. Unhappy to be the center of all this attention Roark swiftly beaks the lamprey attached to his arm, forcefully ripping it free of his flesh and killing it in the process. Blood trickles out into the water. (Roark takes 1 persistent bleed damage from this.) He then turns his attention to Red, jolting it with an arc of electricity and damaging it a little bit. "Go for the eyes, Roark! Go for the eyes!" Taiwalei cries from beyond the wall of water. "Elemental water consumes metal," Selan continues to holler from beyond the wall of fire. "So those sharks probably like to chew on metal too!" You can choose to aim for the eyes with a –2 circumstance penalty against the shark. On a success, the shark will release any target it has currently Grabbed, and then use one action to Swim or Stride away from the PC that attacked it on its turn. Also, now that you know these sharks like to eat metal, anyone wielding a metal melee weapon, a metal shield, or wearing metal armor gains a +2 circumstance bonus to Feint against the shark.

Seeing little other choice, Bella takes a deep breath and looks into the water, allowing herself to sink underneath the surface. As she does, she draws her dagger and focuses her attention on the nearby Red Shark as she attempts an underwater performance. To her immense satisfaction, Red Shark begins to bob its head around in time with her movements. Success! Red Shark is fascinated and Bella gains a point of panache. Stitch also sees the writing on the wall and busts out the WD12345 for Meat Wagon and himself. That done, he raises his shiny new shield and gives the signal to submerge. And though perhaps not truly designed for aquatic maneuvers the construct sinks below the surface, revving its engine as it advances on Blue Shark and slams into it! Nah, the water is calm enough that Athletics checks to swim aren't necessary.

Seems like a little misunderstanding - Gedun and Yeyacha were calling the wisps out as being rude, not Nicole or anyone else :) "You two are sisters, huh?" Gedun repeats, looking from Bella to Khiari. "Fascinating! Well, it's nice to meet you both and everyone else," they add. "But, ah, were you asking me to apologize? I mean, jokes or not, Yeyacha and I are the wronged parties here and so-" Gedun's thought is interrupted as the wisps contained within Yeyacha's chest-cage begin squeaking and making noise; it sounds like communication but none of you are able to understand it. Your two new acquaintances, however, do. Though Yeyacha's expression is imperceptible, Gedun smiles. "See now, was that so hard? Thank you, little ones, and let this be a lesson to you! Alright budding, they seem sincere enough and they've got homes to get back to, so go ahead and let 'em out." "Fine by me," Yeyacha shrugs. "We don't have time to babysit anyway." The cage swings open and all of the wisps rather quietly flitter out and hover around the group, apparently chastened by their scolding and experience sitting in 'time out'. "Now, that's much better! I'm glad we could settle all that without any trouble," Gedun beams. Even Yeyacha seems to relax, as much as one such as they can. "So, you're with the Pathfinder Society and this is the Maze of the Open Road? Wonderful! Are we somewhere on the Material Plane, then? You said you were explorers, are you exploring this maze?" Yeyacha sighs and gives Gedun a look. "Too many questions and not enough answers. Tell them why we're here." "Oh!" The talos puffs their chest out in pride. "Well, we became big names back home after a job. I’m talking wanted posters and bounties big. We’re not exactly celebrity material though, so after hearing the Material Plane is quite nice around this season, we decided to take a vacation. Might even make it a staycation if things get interesting!"
