I'm good with after Thanksgiving. I've got no more travel on the schedule for a while thankfully.
No more travel? But, ... how does one survive without traveling?
I can start after T-giving. I'll be in Bangkok for a couple weeks with not much else going on.

Tchokuqo Pucle "Puc-lee" |

OK think I have Puc-Lee (rhymes with Bruce Lee) completed. Feel free to look over his profile and make sure everything is correct please.

I'm finally done with illness and travel. I >drew a portrait of Sakura.<

GM Ladile |

Alrighty folks, as you finish getting your characters set up I'll be checking to make sure you've got a few things squared away. They are as follows (and if this looks familiar to Sakura, yes, I may or may not be peeking in on Rainzax's run of this AP as well):
□) Background Skills
□) Heirloom
□) Home
□) Religion (if any)
□) Macros (linked in Campaign Header)
□) Token & Marching Order (Slides linked in Campaign Header)
Obviously no one has the macros & token/marching order stuff done at the time of this posting as I've only just put those links at the top of the Campaign header, but please fill them out when you get the chance. It's also possible that I've overlooked something, so if that's the case, let me know. I also think one or two of you might have filled in some of this information (namely about homes) to me elsewhere, but please add it to your character sheet as well.
______________
Petal Sakura (chadius)
☑) Background Skills
□) Heirloom
□) Home
□) Religion (if any)
□) Macros (linked in Campaign Header)
□) Token & Marching Order (Slides linked in Campaign Header)
Tchokuqo Pucle "Puc-lee" (Eric)
☑) Background Skills
☑) Heirloom

☑) Religion - Sangpotshi
□) Macros (linked in Campaign Header)

Amila Mwambua (Nomadical)

Castor Dioscuri (Frozen Frost)

And Uncle Froggy needs to get a character alias set up so I can look things over, please.

Tchokuqo Pucle "Puc-lee" |

OK I *think* I have the macros filled in correctly here, along with the marching order. I think the order should be something like:
Uncle Froggy scouting ahead;
Sneakerz and Puc-Lee in front;
Amila and Castor in the middle;
Petal and Pollux (?) in back.
Let me know how that works. I think Petal can fly so she can go wherever she wants he he.
I picked a random village for Puc-Lee to be from, as I am not too familiar with the geography of Shenmen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Petal Sakura, Season of Ghost |

□) Heirloom
One Cold Iron Chunk worth 10 gp
What better way to deal with her allergies to cold iron than to keep a chunk of it lying around? It's working! She thinks...
□) Home
W27, The Leshy's Saloon
Petal considered it her duty to make sure the harvested trees were treated carefully, and to make sure the forest was not over harvested and could replenish itself. The easiest way to watch over Willowshore was to live at the Saloon and entertain the guests with environmental poems and music.
□) Religion (if any)
Tsukiyo (Prince of the Moon)
https://2e.aonprd.com/Deities.aspx?ID=48
Sakura finds herself drawn to helping other people, and making sure the dead stay that way. She also thinks about the world and making sure destroying a part of the land (especially the forest) is balanced with planting a sapling in its place.

Sneakerz |

Some thoughts on Sneakerz..
Heirloom: predictable silver piece and oil of potency.
Home: Not much of one. Wanders the forests north of 24, has a loose relationship with Puc Lee...
Religion: Swapped to Shelyn. Can't wait to see the Champion remastered with restrictions hopefully eased up on deity/causes.

Amila Mwambua |

Slide/token done.
Macros done* (that's pretty cool, BTW)
*She has Oddity Identification, which changed under the Remaster (I pasted the new version into her profile.) It provides a circumstantial circumstance bonus and changes the skill used under certain uses of Recall Knowledge and Identify Magic. Not sure how to annotate that in the macro for you, since those skills will often be Secret checks.
And you don't really need our Saves or Perception in our header with that fancy macro-sheet, do you?
Heirloom: I'd like to use the 2 healing potions option, since the others don't really go with her concept. Request it be amended to 1 minor healing potion (for visitors/friends) and 1 minor oil of unlife (for herself.) Her common adventuring gear would be the collection of camping gear she amassed on her way across the continents which now rests unused in the back corner of her sleeping room. With a small board atop, it now serves as a table for her altar to the Cosmic Caravan. ("adventurer's pack")
Religion: Sitting alone outside in the darkness, Amila watches the stars cross the skies - skies she has seen are the same here as they are over the Mwangi and everywhere in between. The Caravan crosses the world and guards and guides all beneath it. On her journey from the far west, she picked up small idols or holy symbols of a variety of gods represented by the stars, each named differently in different regions but each carrying their own significance and meaning. When she arrived in Tian Xia, she found that the locals used Tsukiyo instead of Groetus, and she follows suit, a little relieved since she never really liked Groetus. Each month, on the darkest night of the new moon, she shifts the little idols and symbols on her altar/table along their path and gives thanks to the outgoing deity and welcomes the incoming one.
Home: In the eastern-most of the old Silvermist Lodges (W5). Though she rejects the elven ways of the Mwangi, the woodwork and organic feel of the old Lodge still gives her peace.

Looking good, guys!
UncleFroggy's been unexpectedly busy covering for someone at his workplace so it may be just a bit longer before we can get started. In the meantime, I've got some background stuff I've been working on for the game that I'll be sharing with you guys soon - hopefully you'll find it both cool and useful :)

Done with Macros and Slides. His home will be close to W10 Lady of Souls.

UncleFroggy |

Terribly sorry for the silence. Had a crazy week last week, culminating in a martial arts exam on Saturday. The good news is, that all that is over and done with and I can get back to Pathfinder... Oh, and I'm also a lvl 3 monk now... :)
I have a character set up... I just don't know what to call him... or her...

Shadow Fang -SoG- |

Eek... I've posted but it appears I haven't done the other setup stuff yet... Character is posted with botting spoiler, so it should have my background skills already in place.

GM Ladile |

Update at last~
@Amila - Request approved re: Heirloom potions.
Though I'm still missing a few things for Shadow Fang (Heirloom, Home, and Religion (if any)), it looks like everyone else is finished and ready to go! I'm going to go ahead and get us started today so we can at least be rolling along somewhat before the year wraps up. Shadow Fang, just let me know about those three items once you get them figured out and I'll update things accordingly on my end.

And we're off!
You'll quickly notice that some of my links take you somewhere that isn't Google Slides. I'm excited to say that I've been working on a separate campaign page for the game, which you can find the main landing spot for here ---> Season of Ghosts Campaign.
This is something a little extra that I set up in order to better help organize information about the game since there are plenty of names and locations, among other things, to keep track of. With that being said, this won't replace the use of Google Slides for more immediate things such as combat maps and the like - just think of it as a supplement to the game and hopefully a way for everyone to be able to find information more easily instead of having to search through Gameplay all the time.
Please feel free to look around the campaign site at your leisure - given the setup and nature of this AP there's a lot of basic information about Willowshore and its citizens that everyone is privy to right from the get-go. And of course I'll be adding to it as the game progresses; I'll do my best to mention when there's something new worth checking out!

GM Ladile |

It's not been too difficult, I think - I've spent the last month playing around with things and feel like I got the hang of most of it fairly quickly. That said, I've got everything set to 'Public' for viewing, so folks should be able to use the portal without having to register an account for themselves. However, if anyone *wants* to sign up, that's fine as well - I can get you set up as a 'Player' and even give you editing privileges on certain things like your own character page. Just let me know!
I've got an in-service thing to do at work today so I'll check back in later this afternoon :)

Sorry I'm late. All caught up now...

GM Ladile |

Thanks for the notice and will do, Castor. I hope you enjoy your holiday!

As the dragoons say I have returned.

Castor Dioscuri |

I will be unavailable again from December 30, 2023, to January 2, 2024, to celebrate the New Year with my family. Please kindly Delay my actions in combat or bot them if necessary. In advance, I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year!

GM Ladile |

Holiday busyness is over and though the post-holiday doldrums + work busyness has admittedly been getting me here lately, I think those are finally settling down as well. So hark! An update!
I'm not sure you can use reactions before you've had your first turn, but some you can? Remastered book mentions is up to the GM.. so you're call. Otherwise he would use his champion reaction to protect the first person hit, aka Petal.
You'll see I allowed Sneakerz to use his reaction, though I wanted to bring the discussion over here. In doing a bit of thinking and a bit of research, I've found my views on Reactions and When They Can Happen to align with this post. So you heard these things approaching and therefore no one was surprised to find themselves in a battle. With a reminder that what's good for the goose is good for the gander, I'm willing to make a tentative House Rule that reactions may be used before your first turn comes up in combat if everyone is on board with it.
______________In other news, I hope everyone had (or is having) a wonderful holiday/winter break/weekend/etc :)

Sneakerz |

Welcome back! My last two days before going back to work so things have been good here. Looking forward to this game and figuring out Sneakerz along the way.
Ruling on reactions is fine by me.
Seeing as the piercing damage was reduced to 0, would the following prevent the poison from happening?
Injury
Source Core Rulebook pg. 550 4.0
An injury poison is activated by applying it to a weapon or ammunition, and it affects the target of the first Strike made using the poisoned item. If that Strike is a success and deals piercing or slashing damage, the target must attempt a saving throw against the poison. On a failed Strike, the target is unaffected, but the poison remains on the weapon and you can try again. On a critical failure, or if the Strike fails to deal slashing or piercing damage for some other reason, the poison is spent but the target is unaffected.

GM Ladile |

Re: poison - That's a good question and now that I've had time to do some further research, I think it does make sense to rule that monster poisons work under similar conditions. So in this case, a poisonous bite ends up having no effect because there's no damage (puncturing of the skin) happening - whereas if it were something like a contact poison, then a save would still be applicable since contact was made even if no damage was done.
Sooooo, I'll just retcon again and say that the poison thing doesn't happen, which means that Petal hasn't taken any damage at all :P
*edit* I'll try to start up a document for any particular rulings/House Rules that come up for everyone's reference, including my own!
______________
And in other news, Happy New Year! May this year be even better and brighter than the one before :)

Sneakerz |

"I'm less concerned that giant bugs like this were hungry. That is natural. What's truly unnatural is that they talked. I take it no one understood what they said."
That is a good question. I wasn't sure if the bugs were actually speaking or if that was a GM thing to help set the mood? An out loud language or maybe something in our minds/empty skull?
Sneakerz speaks necril if that happens to help.
Its going to be a nice change of pace to be able to slow down and focus on more details and such than you can in a regular 4xp pfs scenario. Build some character into our characters! (Sneakerz will have lots of character..)

Oh no, they were absolutely speaking Common. I just used a tool to make the text look all janky and f~##ed up for that extra creepy factor - guess it worked a little too well! They were saying stuff like 'meat', 'bones', and 'warm, juicy meat' :D

Apologies for being missing in action this week. We had two audits, and then suddenly I got a nasty flu that prompted me to take a much-needed rest. I haven't had the chance to update the games I am playing. I am slowly getting back to the games now.

GM Ladile |

A bit late, but glad you're feeling better Castor!
I took off from work for a much-needed staycation so I'm tentatively hoping to be more active here with the game this week. Once I finish my Fistful of Flowers game my plan is to have this game as my sole GM focus for the foreseeable future, aside from when my turn comes up in a couple of rotation groups I'm in.

GM Ladile |

Rhyme about Lazy Adou? Are we supposed to know that one? Society or Willowshore Lore +7?
I actually already rolled for this earlier to see if anyone might think of it but no one hit the DC - but that's fine, because Ha is about to give you some exposition on it :)

Sneakerz |

Doing some work on a new PC, I noticed the changes to the sooth spell... unless they changed how healing works on the dead, it may no longer be a viable option for us folks that don't like the healy healy stuff.
Soothe: Spell 1: Concentrate Emotion Healing Manipulate Mental: Source Player Core pg. 357: Traditions occult
Cast ◆◆ Range 30 feet; Targets 1 willing creature: Duration 1 minute
You grace the target's mind, boosting its mental defenses and healing its wounds. The target regains 1d10+4 Hit Points when you Cast the Spell and gains a +2 status bonus to saves against mental effects for the duration.
Heightened (+1) The amount of healing increases by 1d10+4.

Petal Sakura, Season of Ghost |

healing (trait) A healing effect restores a creature’s body, typically by restoring Hit Points, but sometimes by removing diseases or other debilitating effects.
vitality (trait) Effects with this trait heal living creatures with energy from the Forge of Creation, deal vitality energy damage to undead, or manipulate vitality energy.
void (trait) Effects with this trait heal undead creatures with void energy, deal void damage to living creatures, or manipulate void energy.
Skeletons have the Negative Healing ability:
Negative Healing: You are damaged by positive damage and aren't healed by positive healing effects. You don't take negative damage and are healed by negative effects that heal undead.
Soothe is not a positive healing effect. It's just a healing effect. I think you can still be healed with Soothe.
Contrast with Petal Sakura's Fresh Produce impulse, which has Healing and Vitality traits. Positive Healing was mapped to Vitality, so that would hurt you.

Sneakerz |

Alright. I hadn't read into vitality trait thoroughly yet. It was just odd to see them add healing to soothe when it didn't have it before.
Either way, I'm excited to try out a BARD for the first time ever.
Its also odd they seemed to have taken away many of the mentions for verbal, etc on spell casting. I guess some multi action spells have the manipulate tag, others don't. To me they made it less clear on casting with hands full.

Petal Sakura, Season of Ghost |

I believe general spellcasting now requires hand movements and speaking sounds (or the equivalent).
Casting a spell requires the caster to make gestures and utter incantations, so being unable to speak prevents spellcasting for most casters.
There's also a note on subtle spells.
A spell with the subtle trait can be cast without incantations and doesn’t have obvious manifestations. Most of these spells enhance your subterfuge or stealth, such as invisibility. Some abilities, like the Conceal Spell feat (page 201), allow you to make spells subtle even if they wouldn’t normally be.
So basically all spellcasting is obvious. Most have the Manipulate trait, which would trigger Reactive Strikes. Verbal/Somatic was OGL stuff, so heave ho it's got to go.
Bards are so much fun but they are starved for actions. The remaster freed up a lot of flexibility in the muse, though. I rebuilt my Maestro bard/Fighter into a Warrior bard. Can't wait to try him out.

Sneakerz |

Ah ok, ya OGL stuff. So I'm going to assume any spells with manipulate trait require a free hand and any without do not? Since before it was based on the number of actions in the cast time for single verbal casts like shield?
Ya I'm going for warrior bard that then adds in maestro stuff. Action economy really does seem like something you'll always be juggling.

Petal Sakura, Season of Ghost |

I remember somewhere that you can cast while wielding a weapon with both hands, so you don't need to spend an action changing your weapon grip or picking up the weapon again. You are able to move your hands while holding the weapon, I guess.
>Somatic spell components< Stated that you can cast even while holding something. I assume they kept this the same in the remaster but I can't find the exact text.
The Shield spell in the Remaster doesn't have the manipulate trait so you definitely don't need any movement for that.

GM Ladile |

Currently in the middle of our monthly D&D game but I'll aim to get an update for you guys a bit later this evening~
