I think things have been fine. I thought everyone (including Straight Jacket) were just role-playing and sticking to character. Is someone miffed? I agree I don't think anything was truly meant to be insulting or annoying other than for entertainment purposes.

MINOTAR is just lapping up the emotion overlays and interactions for filing later. Keep the robot references coming as far as I'm concerned.

P.S. Just don't refer to MINOTAR as a 'Dalek' (From Dr. WHo). He just might take offense at THAT...

Look...my entire character design originally was based around the link and his Armor. Losing Gauntlet in the middle of battle...from a simple 'sleep' spell (or s witch's Sleep Hex)...bothered/bothers me. Getting him back is problematic during combat, assuming I even can wake up again during it.

Also, I plan to get the ability to get the fly evolution later, and I did not want to have someone not only knock me from the air, but also let me fall to my doom because of it. At least if I get knocked unconscious while flying then with the feat I will have his Temporary hit points to help shield me from a fall somewhat.

It also fits in with Keldor's personality. Inside Gauntlet, he's a hero and adventurer. Outside...he's 'just' Keldor.
Finally at higher levels...he and I can separate and he becomes independent too. Which makes it much more useful then too.

Cleric's can also cast 'Free Swim.' A great little spell for underwater combat. Basically a limited form of the Freedom of Movement spell that only works underwater and doesn't apply to grapples and similar.

Before entering the final doorway, Merelda halts everyone and whispers loudly enough for everyone to hear. She absentmindedly scratches Cinder's head as she talks.

"Calistrians are not prone to 'please' and 'thank yous,' so take of this what you will: From here on out we are all brothers and sisters in revenge. This day we will avenge for those who cannot find vengeance for themselves. Regardless of how this day ends, I want you all to know I...will always appreciate your help in this endeavor. She then looks at each compatriot in turn.

She then turns to Innis.

Oren, as a Brawler, can't you give yourself proficiency with a Klar temporarily? Isn't that one of the main abilities of brawlers? Temporary Combat Feats? Oh I see. You gave that up for the Mutagen ability.

Looking ashamed Gauntlet shrugs at Franks's question.

"Weird and supernatural creatures are actually attracted to me sometimes. One of my previous compatriots had a creature living in her hand that kept wanting to touch me. Very odd I think."

I think things are obvious here then. We grab a wagon for me, tie up some horses, and we get our buttocks into the Mournland. They won't follow us immediately. No one with intelligence would, because its just too dangerous now.

I'm not trying to be meta or pissy. I expected her to KILL the elemental quickly. But that might have given us the chance to catch up to her. I could then summon another one, one that flies (Small Air Elemental?) then. Or whatever...

I personally just don't like it when no matter what I do or try to accomplish... It's a personal thing. Nothing I did seemed to matter. Only the Nano-gun thing worked, and even then it worked badly. I HATE that. If the GM wanted her to get away, I would have rather the GM says..."she gets away"...not give us a feeling there was a chance we could have stopped her. We could never have caught up to the robot that flies when we are at 3rd level, and a robot like that would have torn through anything I would have summoned to attempt to stop it.

I'm not trying to blame the GM either. I just hate situations like this one. Obviously we should have had a better guard on the object than we did. That's on all of us.

Thawm, you are essentially correct. Something I forgot. It is not 24 hours however. It's until the 'Following Day': "A summoner can summon his eidolon in a ritual that takes 1 minute to perform. When summoned in this way, the eidolon’s hit points are unchanged from the last time it was summoned. The only exception to this is if the eidolon was slain, in which case it returns with half its normal hit points. The eidolon does not heal naturally. The eidolon remains until dismissed by the summoner (a standard action). If the eidolon is sent back to its home plane due to death, it cannot be summoned again until the following day. The eidolon cannot be sent back to its home plane by means of dispel magic, but spells such as dismissal and banishment function normally. If the summoner is unconscious, asleep, or killed, his eidolon is immediately banished." I had forgotten that rule. So...Gauntlet is at half-strength then, unless I waste my new day's magic on him. So be it. I will just have to be down one 1st level spell for the day.

I know I'm seeing this at the last minute...but could you use a Half-Orc pyromaniac (Kineticist)?

I could re-write Cole for 1st level pretty quickly I think.

Crunch on Cole is basically done...

Details::

• Every character will need at least a short background. If you can incorporate some horror elements into it, that will only help your chances of being selected. Please also give mention to your relationship with Professor Lorrimor.

~Born in Lastwall, Cole grew up in a small village that was the nearest the dread tomb of the lich-king. This proximity to so much death and evil led Cole to explore the area near the forbidden tower in curiosity. One fateful day he found a man under attack by some ghouls near the tower and Cole's dormant Kineticist abilities flared to life, allowing him to help save the human. Professor Lorrimer was his name, and they declared that day a friendship that would last their lifetimes.

• Dark Secret: Every PC should have a dark secret of some sort, which, if exposed, would cause extreme embarrassment at the very least. Please keep it PG-13 and not entirely counter to your alignment. This should be part of your background, although if you wish to hide it via a spoiler tag or to send it to me via private message, that's perfectly acceptable.

~Adopted into the Lastwall militia when his powers emerged, he became an expert on the various undead drawn to the dread tower (and his home) and often joined patrols near there. Ambushed by wights many years later, his patrol was lost to man, except for himself. When the smoke had settled...and his thoughts had cleared...it was evident Cole had not only helped kill the wights, but had accidentally killed several of his comrades too in his zeal to destroy the undead. Knowing he couldn't stay in Lastwall, he immediately headed for the border...changing his name to Cole Burrns in order to try and hide his identity.

• Please give me a rough idea of where you want to go with your character, and what skills s/he brings/will bring to the table to round out a good party.

Cole is a gregarious and tough fellow, physically large but not overly strong. Built like a rock, he tends to tough out problems until he can no longer face them. A natural pyromaniac at heart, he has managed to channel his tendencies with the help of his religion. Hunting undead has become an official job for him, and he's good at it, but it is not an obsession. On the rare occasion he has committed simple acts of arson for profit, and for something new to do. Cole easily fills the role of an arcane caster, although his abilities are not as varied. His one goal in life is live a full life away from Lastwall's prisons. Anything that helps keep that goal alive...

• I'd also like to know your anticipated posting schedule. I'll be expecting at least 1 post per day unless you've already let us know you'll be gone for a short period.

I can usually post once a day at least. Weekends can be harder sometimes, but I'm a pretty prolific PBP poster for the last several years.

Giving the wand of waterbreathing to Valrani so she can enchant everybody, Lirotha straps her everburing torch to her back with it's heat-less flame poking over her left shoulder.

Once the Professor is done with our requested spellcasting, Lirotha will place the code into the sealed cover.

Looking around at her friends,Liroitha smiles.

"OK my pretties! Let's see what we can see. Thank you professor, we will do our best to bring you anything we can on unique species and similar we find down there. Load us up Val."

Once tapped with the wand, Lirotha will hold her breath reflexively then jump into the hole...

Merelda pulls her little used whip, its wooden and worn-leather grip comfortable in her hand.

"If we get attacked, I will attempt to trip as many as I can...assuming they are not flying...so Cassie and Ami can finish them off. I'm not doing much damage otherwise it seems. My Rapier is poor weapon against undead and skeletons it seems."

I get the feeling we are going to move on sooner than later.

Therefore...I'm going to say let's continue on Monday (or when the GM is ready)?

With the wand of waterbreathing...and the good professor willing to add some spells? I think we're good to go.

I'm going to ask the professor for a Communal Protection from Evil for the group at minimum...Air Bubble for Talon's guns?

...Maybe Telepathic Bond for the group too if he's willing.

If he's also willing:
Freedom of Movement on Oren at minimum?
Finally...some extended duration(Metamagic) Monkeyfish spells...?
