The procedures went well. The prep is indeed the worst part.
Nothing wrong with my stomach, a couple of minor problems in my colon which were quickly and painlessly fixed there and then. Sadly no sign of what could be causing my anemia? So more tests I guess.
I did have to stop taking the iron tablets 5 days before the procedure and it was very noticeable how much I need them. Back on them now and feeling slightly better.
I'm taking today off to recover as flushing your insides out the cameras get a clear view does throw you off. :)

Prep for the procedures is really the worst part. A boring diet for several days followed by no food at all and drinking the provided liquids for a day to flush out your insides until you're empty for the cameras
Gastroscopy was completely painless. Colonoscopy was a little uncomfortable, but not painful. Worst part of the procedure was when air is pumped inside you to inflate your stomach and colon so the doctor gets a clear view. That feels strange and you feel bloated for a moment or two. :)

Damn. Caught it again? There's a big ramp-up in numbers anticipated over the coming months. but they just came out with an updated vaccine.
I can't take most vaccine as that was how we found out I have a PEG allergy. It is a bonding agent in most vaccines. But yeah I got it again, thankfully it wasn't as bad as the first time but, still was not easy.

Sorry for going silent. My Mother had to go into hospital yesterday for what looked like another TIA.
She checked herself in mainly as a precaution due to changes in her medication leaving her feeling weak on her right side.
Seems to just be a reaction to the changes and she's on her way home again.

Understood! A lot of my games are slowing down for the Holidays, which is normal. I just wanted to make sure we were all OK, and try not to panic about it.

OK. Catching up. Rhialla used the incense and can see doors in the eyes on the dome in the middle of the room. She is the only one who can see or feel these doors.
While I could bot her I guess it is obvious that when she steps through the door are going to happen. So I'm waiting on Rhialla to act.

Thursday Mum had a massive stroke and is not expected to make it.
She's in hospital on oxygen and unresponsive.
I'll be there for her and there will be no updates for a while.

I lost my Father in 2021 the week before Christmas, now my Mother. This time of year seems to be cursed.
I wish I had words to help. I am here and more than willing to wait. Take your time on this. I...have some things coming up soon myself.

Well...here it goes:
I have been diagnosed with a bad ticker. And they are in a hurry to get it fixed: Next Tuesday I will be getting open heart surgery and a Heart Bypass at my local VA. That means I will be in the hospital for at least a week of recovery and home resting after that for weeks. I will attempt to keep up with my games, at least by phone for now, but I cannot guarantee anything after next Monday yet. That's assuming I survive. They gave me a pretty low percentage of something going wrong, but with any surgery you never know...
I am still available between now and next Monday however. If you need anything from me for this game until then, just let me know.
Either way, please feel free to bot my character as needed after next Monday, and I hope to get back to all my PbP games (by phone at least) as soon as I can. Hopefully by...Christmas? We'll see I guess.

We had the service and funeral today. A small one with just family.

I just wanted to let everyone know that from February 3rd to February 11th I will be away on vacation! So I will likely not be posting as there will be a lot happening!

We need to discuss what we are going to do:
Are we going try and hide, or set up an ambush for the monster? Or just make a run for it and hope our troops can help bring the monster down if it follows us all the way back?
1. Ambush...how/where would we do it? (I offered a suggestion earlier.)
2. How do we keep those who are blinded safe, and/or allow them to help us somehow?
3. Could we set up a quick trap of some sort? Summon a monster to help us? Anything?
Since our Captain must generally make the final decisions...this time I think we can help him come to a final decision working together.
I don't know how the others feel, or even if the creature can follow us by some magical means, but I think we should try and ambush it if it is. Between the three of us that can still see, we should be able to disable the monster at least for a short period and maybe even bring it down quickly enough like we did the other one.
NOTE: Undead usually can't heal themselves, so any damage we do is good damage I think.
Cass still has a dragon's breath and slow spells. I could also try to web it, but with its size and strength that's unlikely to work. If all else fails I can lean on disrupt undead endlessly, which could eventually burn it down if we can get it stuck somewhere that it can't get to us.
I can at the very least contribute by burning spells that I need to see to target an enemy for healing, anyone who needs it would have to be in touch range. I can Channel to heal, but can’t use selective channeling if I can’t see who I’m excluding.
Protection from Evil, Magic Circle against evil, Positive Pulse don’t need visual targeting, and can deter/hurt it. Also if it’s undead, I can channel bomb it as long as someone can get me within 30ft of it.
Trap/ambush sounds like a solid plan.
