Splitz watches on as Diaz begins to talk to the whip. I think this place is getting to him.

He takes the letter and reads it, Well Diaz, that is perhaps the most depressing thing I have ever heard. But I did like the part about the much wealth. I fear we are no match for the vampyr, at least not this day. Perhaps there is something in this land that can help us defeat him or perhaps not.

He sits by the fire quit, lost in thought. And soon Del stirs awake.

There you are, He places a hand on the clerics shoulder. You yet live, we all do. Don't try to get up too fast, you lost a lot of blood. He pats the man lightly on his chest to get him to relax.

Seems Strahd tried of us and called off his wolves. I was surprised by his mercy, if that's what it was. Your brother went down as well, but he still lives, he has yet to wake though. If your god has sway here perhaps his divine magic will heal his wounds. He sees that Del is begin to understand what has happened and is happy to see he has such resolve.

He holds his hands over the fire, I fear we won't see the sun shine bright in the sky here in Barovia. He comments sort of absentmindedly.

Agree really enjoying it! I ran this years ago for my home group, we did it all over one weekend at a Castle themed B&B...it was a blur and a whirlwind. So I forget most of the plot points. I do remember as I prepped it being very excited about all of it and I see why as we play through. Funny how many things you forget, like I knew that was the real Adril, but I couldn't for the life of me remember it was Simulacrum!

Thanks GM and fellow Pathfinders for a memorable time so far!!

If you want to understand the supply and demand of Paizo events at GENCON then this is an excellent resource.

Eventdb

What I see is the organizers were right-on in allocating available supply, except for in one area SFS content for 5th level and higher. It may be that the majority of convention playing Starfinders are still levels 1-4. Also, perhaps some people who were closed out of PFS1 or PFS2 decided to grab low level SFS to fill there schedule. There is some demand in the 5-8th range as seen in the SFS interactive but many tickets in subtier 9-10 and 11-12 remain out there. So I go back to my point that the number of high level Starfinders probably just isn't there yet.

It's up to the OPF powers that be, but I wouldn't be surprised if some SFS high level slots are shifted. But still that may only be 4-6 tables per session. So as mentioned above by many...jump behind the screen my friends.

When SFS 1-00 Thursday night special sold out superfast at GENCON two years ago. I jumped in and GMd a table. I didn't want to initially as I wouldn't have time to learn the system that well and that made me real nervous. I did my best to understand the rules in advance. During the session, I made a ton of mistakes, my players corrected a few, and they made plenty of mistakes with a brand new system...But everyone had a great time, including me! There was a sense of excitement about the new game...the precision of the rules was secondary. So if you don't want to GM PFS2 because of similar reasons, consider it a learning experience for you and the players. You can help each learn it.

So jump on in there and GM, if only a single slot.

As they wait for their audience, Pachio thinks back on his last trip here to the Library of the Lion. Have played 5-11 on this character

And then those around, his fellow Pathfinders hear something unusual, a voice seems to be coming from Paicho's sheathed sword. We still in a waiting room and your casting spells, that ancient city really did mess with your bird brain. The sword says in a sort of muffled way.

I could and often will go into great and elaborate detail about what we know. The exact same thing for me...biggest difference I see is looks like Paizo is sustaining Pathfinder 1e (to include Organized Play) right up to and sort of past the transition. WotC essentially dropped support for 4e once the D&D next Playtest kicked in (or at least it felt that way to me.) This seems different.

Agree with some of the other posting.

Site working much better -- but still experiencing semi-random bugginess.

Congrats to new Venture Officers and 5 stars!

I'm especially proud of the Online region announcement, I've certainly enjoyed the PbP community for several years now and am happy to see it growing and recognized.

Well done all!

You spend around 15 minutes studying the murals and reconstructing them as well. Thunderhoof casts mending on certain broken parts; while Aelwynd begins fixing parts the old fashion way with tools and care. Nachts makes use of scrivener's chant to do some transcribing for posterity. As Rowanna and Lore begin to read the story that is told here.

And it goes something like this:

Kelizandri, the evil elemental lord of water,
imprisoned Lysianassa, the good elemental lord of water,
inside an artifact called The Gasping Pearl long ago.
Before she was imprisoned, Lysianassa used
her last gasp to breathe into a magical decanter now called
The Breath of Lysianassa. This imbued the artifact with the
power to control the ocean tides.
Lysianassa gave this artifact to a giant nautilus
named Riam, who fled with it. Nine brine dragon wyrms
eventually caught and killed Riam, but his shell was lost
inside the Lambent Bloom. Later, pilgrims of Lysianassa
built a temple in the shell and subsequently used it to inter
their dead.

The murals indicate that The Breath of
Lysianassa is hidden near the center of the shell inside the
mouth of a giant sailfish. Hulking creatures made from
moving coral guard it.

A few more details remain.

Ariana is still up. But I'm not sure she can contribute much other than taking a shot at 3 Craft checks. Do you want to spend 5 more minutes to get the rest of it?

------

A corroded bronze door leads deeper into the shell. A coral lined -curved central hallway, contains more corroded bronze doors inside.

Paicho takes a step forward behind Flyn, he begins a song which he is clearly making up on the spot.

We entered in the Ismacco tomb, it was a lovely place
We thought the skeletons were undead but that was not the case,
Instead familiar foes were waiting, it was no surprise,
It wasn't very long till Flyn had shot them through the eyes!

Squawk, squawk Paicho clearly amusing himself.

He stretches his neck around Flyn as he fires, and adds Bzzriff!
Taking aim with his bardic magic on the red clad half orc thug in the back.

A finely dressed Tengu enters the room. Oh am I late! Did someone mention sewers!

Squawk! The tengu lets out an unpleasant noise. I mean is that absolutely necessary? I just oiled my feathers and well, oh okay.

He bows to the assembled group. Oh how rude of me. Allow me to introduce myself, although you likely already know who I am. He pauses for dramatic effect.

I am the Magnificent Paich of Quain! I'll be your entertainment in these vial sewers, I'll keep our spirits high and our senses sharp!

He looks around for the expectant applause.

My character is leveled just need to update, my profile, will do so tonight.

And we are off

You make your way to Museum with your fellow Pathfinders. Dozens of Wise District guards surround the Blakros Museum. You find yourself within ear shot of Venture Captain Valsin as he approaches. The sergeant nods to Ambrus Valsin as he approaches, a subtle smirk dancing across the venture-captain’s face. The museum itself is alight with swirling whorls of color and the sounds of metal and stone clashing. Occasionally, brief flashes of light burst from the front entrance, illuminating a toppled banner that says “Legacy of the Shining Crusade.”

The broad-shouldered, middle-aged Ulfen man salutes, a somewhat bemused expression on his face. “Well met, Venture-Captain Valsin. I am Svaralk of Asleifar, Sergeant of the Learned Guard. The Guard appreciates your assistance.” He points to his subordinates, “Our initial attempt to quell the animated relics within failed. I’ve ordered the Guard to withdraw and form a perimeter.”

Ambrus Valsin returns the sergeant’s salute, a gesture of mutual respect. “You once served in Grand Prince Stavian III’s Ulfen Guard, did you not?”

Svaralk nods, “That’s right. Afterwards, I retired to Absalom and have served this city for seven years. This is not the first catastrophe I’ve responded to at the Blakros Museum, though none has been quite so dramatic as this. As if anyone needed further proof of the museum’s reputation for trouble.”

The Ulfen confides to the Venture-Captain, “After Nigel Aldain harangued me for dereliction of duty in not immediately retaking the museum, I’m in no rush to sacrifice the lives under my command until the warring creatures inside wear each other down.” He holds up a hand and shakes his head, “I don’t hold Nigel Aldain’s outburst against him. I recognize the elf is rightfully concerned—albeit rather precious—about his exhibit.”

Svaralk turns to your team of Pathfinders and says, “Before you enter, I can provide you an overview of the museum’s layout and tell you that there are animated relics and guard animals on the ground level, and clockwork creatures skirmishing with each other on the floor above. We also have an especially challenging problem in the gardens at the southeast corner of the museum grounds. Some kind of magical runes displaying swarm-like behavior, more magical devices really than living creatures. They proved too complicated a challenge for me and my guards; we simply lacked the skills to disable them.”

map

Pathfinders you may go 1) straight ahead toward animated relics; 2) to the right toward toward guard animals; 3) to the left and upstairs toward clockworks; or 4) around back to the gardens for swarm wards. Once 3 are in agreement we'll head there.

I wasn't able to coordinate timing as well as I hoped, as I didn't have prior notice of when the changes would occur. My apologies!

It's okay Tonya, thanks for the apology. The Thursday night 1-00 went very fast and that's what I was most hoping to get. Any chance more will open up or is that it now. Thanks again I know how difficult this year has been to organize GENCON and I appreciate all you all do!
