Since we'll be in the sewers, and apparently we'll be dealing with rats again, might want to take some filth fever tonic with us."

Turning back to the Venture Captain, he says, "Ma'am, any idea what this jet rat looks like?"

We do love our sewers! Been a recurring theme for us :)

Turning to Qatala first, "You must mean the Kidnappings related to the Cult of Nature's Cataclysm you foiled a coupl weeks ago. While we’re not going to discount that, she didn’t describe any human involvement. She saw only derros, rats, and a few creatures she could not name and I could not identify.”

Then she returns to address Deyno's queries."Derros on the otherhand, small pale blue humanoids. Typically find them underground, and they hate the sun! They are dangerous but he never saw more than a handful together. Pathfinders of your stature should be able to easily dispatch them and recover the artifact.”

With regards about the artefact, she shakes her head at FLyn. "I have no clue what this jet rat looks like, but I'm sure with your boundless experience you would be able to pick the clues. My guess is as good as Kiboko's."

"Any other questions? If not.. Make your preparations and immediately head out! times a wasting."

Squawk! The tengu lets out an unpleasant noise. I mean is that absolutely necessary? I just oiled my feathers and well, oh okay.

He bows to the assembled group. Oh how rude of me. Allow me to introduce myself, although you likely already know who I am. He pauses for dramatic effect.

I am the Magnificent Paich of Quain! I'll be your entertainment in these vial sewers, I'll keep our spirits high and our senses sharp!

Venture-Captain Hestia Themis claps excitedly at the Tengu's spectacular entrance, but cuts herself short as she realises no one else is doing the same. "Cough... cough.." She flips through her notes ignoring everything that just happened.

"Well. Let's fill in Paicho shall we?" And she provides the events of things that has happened in the town of Cassomir thus far. She explains that a few weeks back, some kidnappings had plague the town which required pathfinder intervention as one of our own had been taken. We found out recently that the group responsible for the kidnapping is known as the 'Cult of Nature's Cataclysm' and were closely associated with the cult of Groetus. While the pathfinders were responsible in the downfall of the wicked activity, the matter of who the buyers were was never established, except that they are 'grey skinned' based on conversations overhead by the kidnapped.

"We don't have strong reason to believe any connection to the two, but we cannot discount anything! Your job now is to brace yourself into the sewers and retrieve an artefact called the jet rat. We believe it is being used to no good, for vile purposes and needs oto be stored away, the group can fill you in on the way."

The walk to the sewer entrance is uneventful, and a large man-entrance for maintenance purposes can be easily found where the venture captain provided information. The door looks made of plain wood that now is rotting and is 10ft by 10ft. The path below is completely void of any light, and the stench dreadful. Noises of sewer water and little vermins running around can be heard, as it is expected of any sewer.

Map is ready. When you are ready, (inclusive of shopping, buffs if any), place up to 4 PCs onto the entrance going in, those without darkvision need a light source prepared. Once you've decided who the first explorers are, I'll resolve the beginning of the journey into the unknown..

@GM - Would it be possible to purchase a Potion Darkvision?

Thank you all for such a warm welcome. It's always great to be back in my beloved Taldor, I mean I consider Oppara my second home. And have graced the stage here in Cassomir many times. The Halflings here enjoy a few bawdy songs, even if they act like nobles most of the time. Paicho let's out a few chuckles that sound a bit like a weird squawking.

Now then grey-skinned slavers that indeed sounds like concerning news, give me a bit to change into something more appropriate for trouncing through the sewers and I'll be ready to go.

Am good with all purchases made before heading down into the hole, it would be safe to assume you had reasonable amount of prep time for this.

Only 4 can really jump in at the same time, so following posting order, I'll assume Kiboko, Mvumbu, Deyno, and Paicho are still above ground.

The first half of the group immediately jump in, braving the smell and whatever possible disgusting things that could be found in the sewers. Assisted by Flyn's waylight, most of the immediate tunnel is lit, but before the group could really take the time to inspect the place they are immediately greeted by a giant spider!

This towering spider is the size of an elephant. Its legs have spiky joints and its face looks vaguely, but disturbingly, humanoid.

With extremely keen eyes, Flyn and Qatala are able to perceive that the drain has a trapped mechanism that will activate if anyone steps on the drain.

The momentum from Deyno's charge does more than enough to topple the spider to death. After the spiders depth, you are able to absorb some time to admire the scenery. The Cassomir Sewers are large, vaulted affairs with tile ceilings, brick walls, stone walkways, and make-shift wooden bridges. The sewer grates at the end of each “dead end” lead to smaller and smaller pipes that likely connect to the storm drains throughout Cassomir.

Kn Local DC12:
This sewer system is actually the third incarnation of the sewer systems in Cassomir.

The exploration deeper into the sewers reveal many junctions at all turns. Further down, there are even more junctions to wander into.(A5) Towards one end of the first junction, there is a dead end with what looks like to be a small light flickering from out of side. (A2). And on the other end, a spell of death stronger than anything you've ever smelt. (A3)

The stilts across the water require no check to cross at normal speed. Anything more than normal speed requires a DC15 Acrobatics check to avoid falling into the water.

Let me know which path you will take, A3,A2,A5. Also I'll need to know if someone decides for whatever reason to jump into the sewer water!

Paicho makes his way into the sewers, working carefully to make sure he avoids the sewer water. He begins to examine the dead spider. He draws his longsword from its sheath, and begins to poke around on the corpse.

A voice decidedly different than Paicho's suddenly speaks, It's about time, I was feeling cooped up in there. Well look at that, biggest spider I've ever seen, wouldn't ya say song bird. Oh and by the way, you know I don't like that song, I've told you before.

Then Paicho speaks That's why I sing it. He stuffs the sword back into the sheath.

As he falls in with the others, he looks around at the sewer architecture.

Oh yes, I read about this somewhere, This sewer system is actually the third incarnation of the sewer systems in Cassomir. Very interesting stuff.

Squawk, squawk Paicho laughs at Kramac's comments.

Yes, the sword can talk and think, and it doesn't care for most of my songs. Paicho relays, drawing the sword once more.

Everyone, this is Gamin the Reforged.

Oh what, now I have to perform, the sword replies. Well, very well, esteemed Pathfinders, I am Gamin, friend of good and aid to the altruistic Pathfinder Society. I am at your service. The sword pauses, before adding. How was that?

Yes very good Gamin. Paicho says.

Oh, I do like that song about the Quadrian dancing girls. Gamin replies.

Paicho sheaths Gamin once more.

Yes, he really is helpful, just a bit of a sharp tongue.

With the group closing in on this room, they are able to get a better look at it once inside. This room appears to have once been the basement of the building above, the wall seperating the basement from the sewer long ago smashed in and repaired, giving it the appearance of a natural part of the sewer system. The ceiling here is 30 feet high and the room is lit by torches in the north and south walls. Stacks of crates and barrels line the north wall, and a set of finely carved stone stairs start on the south wall and make their way up and around the west wall to a door high above the room in the northwest corner.
Torches placed around the room illuminate it brightly.

As unexpected, a man with the exact look of Dalirio Teppish seems to be leading a discussion with four small blue humanoids. The man bears the same resemblances, to the manner of clothing and the heavy flail. The holy symbol of Groetus is visible. Surrounding him, the squat humanoid seems to be nearly all head—an unfortunate circumstance, considering how ugly its puffy blue face is. They are armed with daggers.
