Once three Pathfinders gather in the circle, they activate the teleportation controls; they instantly hear the same voice they heard utter the alarm, again in a language only Izlin understands...

"Myrkili unter - Ubsirhalle Kyrk"

Izlin:
The phrase translates to Common as "Circle active - Observation Deck." You also quickly realize that since y'all are on the ground floor of the tower, any observation deck would have long ago collapsed. Only a quick warning from you will give the ones in the circle a chance to avoid being transported 60' up to place that no longer exists. For time's sake, I'll post your warning...

Izlin's eyes go wide as he hears the phrase and he yells to the ones in the circle, "Get out!"

Azrael/Poh/Sirrah Refex Save DC17:
If you pass the save, you exit the circle before it teleports you; if you fail, you are teleported 60' up in the air to where the observation deck used to be and take the following damage:

"Stupid! There was a drop left in there and now it's spilled!"

Poh rubs his behind, and looks pointedly at Dermot.

Whether this is worth a Channel probably depends on whether anyone else fails their saves. Happy to use my wand charges as necessary to heal Poh.

You were right Jactus, the teleportation circle wasn't trying to intentionally do harm...and yeah I agree Sirrah, that was a pretty neat implementation of a 'trap'...on the plus side, it was good that y'all had someone who spoke Elvish as without that, there'd have been no reflex save...

Izlin's warning came just in time for Sirrah and Azrael to avoid being teleported...unfortunately, the Revered Master Poh was studying the bottom of his nearly empty mug and had a surreal experience with teleportation and gravity...

Will await a bit to see if Master Poh wishes some healing before proceeding...unless there's an objection, I'll move us along downstairs in the morning...

Recovered now after his midair misadventure thanks to his healing wand (and maybe equally to another pint), the Revered Master Poh, along with the rest of the intrepid group of Pathfinders, heads down the stairwell to the basement level below...

Due to activating of the ancient control panel upstairs, this room is lit normally. The air here is cooler than the upper floor, and the room is relatively clean and clear of debris. The walls, though made of stone, bear the carved likeness of fresh soil riddled with tree roots. A staircase along the northern wall winds upward to the floor above, and an open doorway leads to the west.

Beyond a few pieces of furniture made of petrified wood, in particular the overturned tables, and a stack of sleeping pallets, this rounded triangular room is devoid of furnishings and gives the appearance of having been ransacked. A wealth of mushrooms and fungi grow to a height of three feet around the periphery of the room. Standing his ground, Azrael makes use of his extremely quick reflexes to strike the drow. In a fluid motion, he crosses his kukri twice at the enemy with his dominant hand, attempting to strike the creature's vitals, while his free hand grasp upon his second weapon and draws it.

Azrael rakes the raider severely as he rises to his feet, cutting deeply into and across the Drow's gut...the fighter-monk then finishes him off with a slash of the kukri across his exposed throat...

After dispatching one Drow, Azrael wastes no time going straight at the remaining foe, artfully slicing him across his left shoulder with his kukri...the Drow grimaces but sneers with contempt at the party, showing no signs of surrender despite the numbers he faces...

You know, this large spiked shield with a sunrod beaming light out of it while it is flying through the air probably looks pretty crazy. People probably think its from Numeria.

Sirrah thrusts twice with his rapier, but the ranger seems surprisingly resilient as he's able to turn the cavalier's blade away both times...

Jactus again slings his shield, the beam of light lighting up the top of the room like a strobe light...the Drow gives a wicked grin as it first goes wide, but the second attempt catches him off guard, smacking him flush on the head, dropping him like a wet blanket...

COMBAT over! Pathfinders victorious!

Looking at the body of the Drow ranger and thinking how surrender never occurred to him despite the odds, you get the feeling that there might have been someone, or something, he was more afraid of...

While I didn't think they'd give y'all too much trouble, with them getting a surprise round I thought they might at least put a scratch or two on you and maybe get their poison into play...with your high ACs, along with Poh's defensive assists and Azrael's SM mod, y'all will be tough to damage...unless maybe another teleportation trap awaits... :)

The party finds the following on the fallen ranger:

3 arrows, a chain shirt, an Elven Curved Blade, a masterwork composite longbow with 20 arrows with some sort of coating on it, some kind of kit with 3 vials, and an aegis.

Among the two raiders they find:

10 bolts with a similar coating, a tanglefoot bag, chain shirts (2), masterwork hand crossbows (2), masterwork rapiers (2), belt, and a vial of what you assume is Drow poison, 118 gp.

When Izlin casts Detect Magic, he sees an aura on the ranger's chain shirt, blade, and aegis. Among the raiders belonging the bolts and the belt show an aura...

Unfortunately, the Revered Master Poh finds no beer among their possessions...

Craft (Alchemy) or Heal or Knowledge (Nature) DC20:
The kit is a drow sporecrafting kit, which contains three vials of antifungal salve. The salve is applied like a magic oil to remove the effects of basidirond or myceloid spores.
