Hey there, you fine folk! A group of players dropped two players after playing a few scenarios. Since we agreed to continue running scenarios after our initial 3, we are moving on to 4th at the moment. Two people can't make it, however - hence the recruitment.

No, feel free to apply. Even if both newcomers are level 3 the APL is 7/3 so we're in the appropriate subtier. I'll keep this in mind when running the lottery.

A Pathfinder Society Special designed for levels 1-12+

An ancient Thassilonian artifact has been unearthed in Magnimar and is to be auctioned off by the city government. In order to maintain good relations with those in power in the City of Monuments, the Pathfinder Society must obtain the relic without simply stealing it, although employing any other means necessary. It falls to the PCs to infiltrate the auction, sabotage the other bidders' efforts, and call in favors from those in the Society's debt to ensure the Runecarved Key (and the secrets it unlocks) belongs to the Pathfinders when the adventure draws to a close.

General sign-ups are now open.

This is a multi-table special and is run on a fixed timer, this means it is important to maintain a steady post rate in order to ensure you hit your objectives. Participants are reminded that the even runs for ~53 days, and includes weekends (the clock doesn't stop). So make sure you let your fellow players and GMs know you are MIA as they're all on the clock too.

Dates and times mentioned are based on Sydney Australia time (and that means I am usually posting from the future - it's the 9th of Dec here!) so don't get caught short.

Multis are a lot of fun, just be prepared for it to shift at a fast clip.

With sign-ups, what is there is what is there, so grab your spot and get comfy, I'm not planning on any extra tables.

If you sign up but then can't make it, please delete your details so someone else can grab the slot.

Well that sucks. I have kept Nigel out of play for awhile waiting for this event and it filled up in just a few hours.

When I asked, I was told we would get a few day notice before you would post sign ups. While looks like I'll be playing a pre-gen through another special. Lame.

Thanks for organizing and running this Shifty, please don't take my frustration of missing out on getting my character in as discouragement.

How are the 12+ games handled when it isn't just all 19s?

Anything intended to challenge say a Barbarian 19 and Sorcerer 17 will eat my Bard 13 alive.

The 12+ tier has scaling adjustments for APL 15+. You could think of it as 2 tiers, 12-14 and 15-19 if you want. But I think if you're not a front liner you could probably get away with being brave.

Bigguyinblack, I'm just speculating here, not speaking officially, but there are two tables at 12+, and depending on who signs up, some swapping people between tables may happen to help this situation.

I would guess the level 19s are playing at 19.2, to top out at 20 afterward.

I didnt think about playing up (Nigel is going to be scared!) but I will give it a try. Thanks for the advice! Can't wait to see how this goes.

I think Core needs me more. But with 3 martials at that 12+ table already the temptation to play my Banner bard is very high.

I'm trying to play some of my 5-7s, so I'll step out of the lottery. But please put an end to my confusion. When you say tier 2, do you mean tier 1-2, or APL 2, or something else?

A Level 7 can't play in a Subtier 1-2 game anyways (and a Level 1 or 2 can't play in a Subtier 6-7 game).

That would fall under the "more than one Subtier" restriction found in the Guide to Organized Play.

I am currently recruiting people to play a CORE game of 7-14, Faithless and Forgotten, Pt 1. It will be by lottery. If you choose to, you can continue on to Pts 2 and 3. I don't have a preference on tier, it will be up to you who are playing.

Lottery will take place sometime Wednesday, the 13 after I'm done with work that day. I plan on starting play the 15th or 16th.

Expectations

I've been hoping to get into a NON-CORE game of "Faithless and Forgotten" for some time now. My Occultist got into it, but the DM had to call off the game barely after it had started.

"The Disappeared" is another adventure I'd like to play.

I am new to PbP (playing in my first one now), but I'm already thinking about learning how to GM it. If I can figure out how to do it, "The Disappeared" is definitely one I'd be willing to run. Of course, that doesn't help you right now, does it? :)
