So long as we have someone has max ranks in spellcraft I'd rather items be automatically identified. It eases loot tracking because what the items are can be difficult to track back to the spot in the AP that we found them if we miss the initial check.

Only for potions which I can do with alchemy and without detect magic. My ranks in spellcraft will only be what I need to easily scribe scrolls into my formula book.

Yeah, I only mention Ethyl because sometimes there are other identification methods other than "spam the Spellcraft button." Linguistics for Scrolls, Alchemy for Potions, etc.

Alvar can take the haversack, and probably should for the reasons that Ethyl mentioned. Plus, with their prehensile tail, they can draw items with a swift action! Also, as they said, the pearl should probably go either to them or Nyarai. I don't think either of our other prepared spellcasters (Ethyl and Iosif at the moment) could use it quite as effectively. Or, quite possibly at all, in Ethyl's case.

With things as they are now, I would like to present my case for getting the pearl of power:

It can be a free CLW per day.

I'm not particularly keen on having one, but I think it would be useful until we get some additional options for healing.

IDK about Ethyl using it. RAW I think no but extracts are similar enough to spells that I can see an argument for it. I won't push that boundary if I don't have to.

And I think there's an equivalent to pearls of power SPECIFICALLY for alchemists and most investigators. (The ones who Bard cast are an exception who could probably use a pearl of power)

... That would have been nice to know with my first character.

And they'll work on most Investigators too, since they "cast" like alchemists. No one here is an investigator, but I'm reminding myself since I have a character who'll be dipping into Empiricist.

Doing good. I quite like this party for this AP in particular. Momentum has been excellent so far and have good hopes that we will finish. Difficulty should be more even now that we've leveled and have a base to retreat to if needed.

Yes, game seems to be doing well, with a healthy post rate.

I may have made a mistake when I made a socially stunted character. It will get better. Right now, she is just hyper-focused on not knowing her name. I also want to find a way to extract information from the Orpiment Apostle. SOMEHOW.

Yeah, that could've been very bad for Iosif, given that his threshold's only 2... could've very easily gotten a madness from 1d6 sanity loss.

I was thinking of using disrupt undead to blast it from a distance. Brute-forcing, but it'd work!

It's only a lesser madness, and it should've said sight-based Perception checks rather than any/all Perception checks, as your hearing and touch aren't affected.

I'm not sure whether there're materials for Alvar to copy their scroll spell into their book available, but I would want them to try doing so. It'd cost 10 gp and would be a DC 16 Spellcraft check. Of course, if they're not available, then that'll have to wait.

GM willing I could help justify its availability by crafting it with alchemy. A DC 15 item that costs 10gp I can craft in one day by taking 10 on the check. Not looking for a discount just a narrative justification because I'll want to scribe scrolls we find as well as well as copy Alvar's homework.

If Alvar and Ethyl want to craft/scribe they can do so in the smaller shrine. There is enough supplies (if you want to "turn in" wealth) to accomplish minor crafting and scribing.

EDIT: Whoops, I forgot that for an Eldritch Scholar, it costs double to transfer spells, so 20 gp, which Alvar doesn't actually have.
