It’s been a while since I read through the gameplay so I did that yesterday again and I realized that I completely misunderstood the cover story that we need.
I wrote down for myself the NPCs and some of the open quests. Please tell me if I got something wrong:
Governor Oppian Nevilindor - commands the Reclamation forces still here in Kantaria. A well-built man with short, neatly cut hair, Oppian Nevilindor is garbed in a gleaming breastplate displaying the symbol of Iomedae. Oppian always has a warm smile on his face, but has a habit of keeping one hand on his sheathed sword.
Faydreth Zaine - Sporting a well-kept beard and pristine red-and-white Iomedaean robes, Faydreth Zaine peers appraisingly through silver spectacles.
Durgal Mircask - managing the new Labor Guild
Jalila Hadjara - lean and muscular, and clearly not Chelaxian by birth, but her defining physical trait is the tattooed text adorning her skin. Painstakingly transcribed verses from the Acts of Iomedae cover the flesh exposed by her garb.
Linton Demeer - Alchemist shop owner, Linton Demeer’s characteristic features are his unkempt black hair and his generous paunch. The alchemist has a penchant for fidgeting with small objects or alchemical reagents.
Jana Holdus - local business owner restaurant “Sweetest Drop”. Dressed in a low-cut leather jerkin, Jana Holdus smirks with her every action. A woman of considerable charm, she winks her green eyes at raconteurs, enthusiastically applauding every tale.
Hellknight Zara Orcelani, shield-maralictor of the Order of the Rack
Brextur, a Ukobach devil was in the smithy,
Nicolae - Nidalese Slaver and his gang were looking for two halfling twin slaves which the group got back for him
Loredana Viorica - Innkeeper/Cover Story, she has a pale complexion and well kept black hair that she keeps neatly pinned up. Other than the occasional quirked eyebrow, her gray eyes betray little emotion.
Open quest:
- Viorica mentioned the Smithy Tychus being killed by the Governor Nevlindor and the location haunted -> Brextur, a Ukobach devil was found, Sinderbos was Tychus' hammer, an unholy relic devoted to Moloch. It is a mighty weapon in any hands, but in the hands of one who serves Moloch, it is also a splendid tool of creation. Some skulking human made off with it in the aftermath of the smith's defeat -> Hammer of the smith stolen by a blonde, bearded fellow shouldn't be too hard to locate among a town full of Chelaxians.
- Steal potions for Linton
- Rescue the Hellknight
Potion quest:
I am in favor of stealing the potions as well and not poisoning them.
Cover story:
Given the fact that we are supposed to be working for Loredana in her inn, I would propose that Amala can be responsible for the horses or animals of the travelers (Handle Animal +9) or sometimes entertain the guests (Perform +9).
Yup, I've noted the pros and cons and am still in favor of sabotage.

Sorry for the lack of engagement from me. I'm back and in it. Do you want us near the shop or somewhere else. I think it might be ideal, for us to quickly get back in, for you to decide how this will start. I will go along with your decision.
