Shouldn’t Grandel’s position in initiative move to just before green?

Shouldn’t Grandel’s position in initiative move to just before green?
She should, but I don't want to split the initiative into more groups than I need to.
==================
@Grandel - I hear your frustration. Unfortunately, this is part of the frontline job. You will be taken down more often than others. I don't want to go into the discussion about why things are like they are, but basically, Paizo is balancing their encounters in that way. The creatures need to hit hard and accurately to compensate for the fact that there are 2 of them and 6 of you. They do 6 attacks you can do 18.
So think of it like that: your AC 22 is supposed to aid you: not get critted that easily and be missed by their 3rd attack.
Grandel is up! Roll high!

@Argoni - shortbows are not propulsive so you don't get -1 from your 8 STR, unless I am missing something.
An interesting rule if that's the case. Argoni would take the penalty if he was using a composite short bow, but not a regular short bow. So you could have a character with a -5 Str mod and use a shortbow with no damage penalty.
I don't know if there's a right answer. I didn't find anything with a quick search on the forums. Happy to run it how you see it.

Well, considering my rolls, i think you can bot me, it'll be better for the group.

![]() |

Thanks for the hero point!

![]() |

Take care of thyself, sir. I hope your prognosis is correct.
I'm the opposite. I'll be on my death bed one day saying "I'm fine... I think i'll go for a walk or go play guitar or a computer game for a while..." :)

![]() |

Would you want some of Tiger's healing? I'll just wrap you up like a mummy...
Get well soon. We'll be good... :)

Weird bug i couldn't sign in for a while, had to change browsers.
I hope you will do good Farol and heal ! Take vitamin D if you can, and zinc, it helps a lot for every disease, especially in winter, including Covid.
I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Hello. I've been unable to log in for several days. If you've had the same problem, try clearing the cookies in your browser.
I'll get to this game (and all my others) ASAP.

Did I do a battle medicine on Grog?

![]() |

Really glad that it was a bug, i was worried for Farol all that time :D
Sorry about it, it works well with Brave browser now.
Well it works but i still double posted for some reason :s

![]() |

Grog was included on the post Bullette healing but not during the fight... If that helps.
Yes - you're immune to battle medicine for 24h. Had to see if I could still do a battle med on you if I needed to. I know Grandel and Mr Snappers are immune.

I think you healed Grog with regular Threat Wounds, so he is immune to that, but not to battle medicine ;)
Salaish has spells. She won't let anyone die if she can help it.
Ok you ant charmer you! Keep in mind Grog lost 5 hp ;) out of 50, I had paper cuts more serious than that ;)
@Grandel that is sweet that you were worried, I am glad that you are here now :)

![]() |

He's only immune for 10 minutes due to Continual Recovery... :)

Tiger gives a lecture on fighting large creatures.
Warfare Lore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Didn't quite work out...

![]() |

Underworld lore @ task level 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
grumble, grumble
Edit: Nevermind, that's exactly the DC!

![]() |

Well, gosh! Salaish will busk anywhere she can.
Performance Day job DC 15: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Failure = 16 cp
Turns out hobgoblin soldiers don't carry a lot of coin around, and what they have, they prefer to save for other things. Shucks.

Something went very wrong with that whiskey mash...
"Wait, if that's the mash, then where's the.... oh." Rannarix slinks away trying not to be noticed.

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

This is the trek that never ends.
Yes it goes on and on my friends.
Somebody...Staaaarted walking it not knowing what it was,
And they'll continue walking it forever just because

Noooooooooo!! Not that!!!

So we have one vote for backtracking to return from outside the camp, and one vote for distracting the guard while we all sneak out of there. (Read: low risk and RP potential vs. high risk and RP potential.) What do you guys want to do?

![]() |

Tiger can sneak, though it's not really his forte...

Salaish move is ballsy so let's go with that. No one else wished to throw their vote, and everyone said whatever. But epic scenes are not done with leaving through the back entrance ;)
So:
Salaish, do the show, if you need someone to do something tell them what that would be.

![]() |

Grandel really can't sneak but i guess it's a group check anyway.

GM Farol |

Hey folks, and that concludes our Hobgoblin tale.
The Chronicles are under the same link as the previous ones please let me know if everything is ok.
I hope that you enjoyed that a bit different scenario, it was more on the investigation side of things again with only 2 fights. On top of that it is the first fight that can be deadly :D
Anyway let me know what have you liked/didn't like. I reported the game already so you should see it under your games.
Stay safe!

![]() |

Thanks for the game Farol!
Though Raike's threat reminds me of Scooby-Doo again...

![]() |

Heh. Good job all. :)
Chronicle looks good! Love the note. Grog will be double checking his ornery pick often from now on. :) Thank you for running us!
And thanks to all for playing. Good group. Had fun!

![]() |

Whew! That was a fun game. The dice bot really worked in Salaish's favor at the end, that's for sure. I'd like to think that the Nat 20 on the second speech was the balance for the Nat 1 on the first one.
The Chronicle looks good. Thanks for running this, GM Farol. I wish we'd thought to interview Morgrar. That could've been an interesting conversation.
Question: Raike mentioned that Greeleep was a halfling, but he's obviously a kobold. And we did find scales in Greeleep's hut, as if they were plucked off his body so he could impersonate a halfling. Were the halfling remains in the alchemist's lab the original Greeleep that Raike mentioned?

![]() |

Way to go, Salaish! Thank for running a fun set of games, Farol. I did quite enjoy the different feel of this one.

The answer is simple: Raike was lying ;) Greeleep was using hat of disguise. The halfling body is John Doe (unknown person) his blood was used to mix with pheromones as bulettes just love halflings.
With regards to Morgrar - the other team also did not do anything about him. You could seal the letter and codebook and work on the message. But in PFS people are not into stealing stuff :| (go figure) at the same time it is a bit on the side of the main plot,
Though Raike's threat reminds me of Scooby-Doo again...
Keep in mind that she slaughtered the kobold tribe, The scooby-doo episodes that I watched had different villains ;)
I am glad that you all enjoyed it. I will wait for Rannarix to post anything and close the thread.
