Welcome to my author table of 7-02 Shipyard Sabotage!

I figure that you all will spend a little time here figuring out what characters you want to play. This is a scenario for levels 1-4.

Some basics once you've decided on your PC:

◈ Please fill out my RPG Chronicles Link for this game.

◈ Please make sure that your character has a Botting Spoiler on their character sheet with the most common spells and strikes they use in combat.

I run fun, fast-paced games and try to use botting to keep the game moving if real life happens and you're having a bad day.

Hello, I am Hmm's character Tess. I'm here as an example of a PC with a fully statted out botting spoiler. Take a look at the 'Bot me' section of my sheet to see the dice expressions that are ready to be cut and pasted from there.

Paizo's forums have been so wonky post-GenCon that I'd like to have a discord chat for this group as a backup. If you're willing to give me your discord IDs, I'll create one and invite all of you.

I'm intending to play my level 3 Exemplar, but I have several characters in range and I'm flexible.

I have two GM Glyphs.

And I think I've done everything except the maps (it's view only).

An awakened dog exemplar? I cannot wait!

I've always had a preference for the stranger ancestries. Unusual beings are a big part of fantasy for me. I really like awakened animals.

I should also get my own tables set up. Do you mind if I copy your macros?

I don't mind. These macros were originally set up by Doug Hahn, with some minor edits suggested by me, like clumping PFS and Bardic Lore.

I will be developing my botting spoiler as we play, as this character started their career as a Bard (where his "Inspire Courage" was actually him "Shouting Orders") until Paizo up and created the very Class (!) I had always envisioned him as: a Commander. One Evolving Destiny boon later, and now he has a steed, and this will be his first run through as his final PFS incarnation.

Plus, depending on who shows, I will toggle my Tactics to compliment the party. But, seeing a Barbarian, Exemplar, and Fighter, will definitely be preparing Strike Hard! and making use of that Brandish trait.

Q) GM / Group: How would you like to handle answering Tactics in PbP? Should I avoid preparing ones that invoke multiple people? Should I bring a different character altogether? Or can someone decide, upon positing their current turn, what their response "would have been" had they answered prior to their turn? I don't want to stall the pace of the table, nor exploitatively use hindsight to inform current decisions, etc. Lmk?

I am trying out a commander in PBP in GM Tiger's table of this.

Here's my plan:

◈ Talk with my table about tactics in advance.

◈ If we select Pincer Move or Gather to Me, tell people to spoiler an extra move on their turn if they act ahead of me and to just include the additional movement with the ↺ Reaction tag on their turn if they move after me.

I think if we communicate in advance, we can make this work.

Why don't you tell us about your Commander and the tactics you can prepare?

On another note, I see several GMs at my table. Tell me, do y'all have at least one glyph?

So here is how I explained Commander stuff on GM Tiger's table.

Here are the Tactics I'm going to Prepare for today's mission. If we go into day two, or have time between fights to swap Tactics, I'll provide a similar breakdown.

Gather to Me! (◆; all ↺)
You signal your team to move into position together. Signal all squadmates; each can immediately Stride as a reaction, though each must end their movement inside your banner’s aura, or as close to your banner’s aura as their movement Speed allows. Squadmates can use Gather to Me! while Burrowing, Climbing, Flying, or Swimming instead of Striding if they have the corresponding movement type.

The "all" and the "↺" after the title is my shorthand for "how many squadmates can I choose" and "what kind of action does it cost them to respond"

Protective Screen (◆; one ↺; brandish)
You’ve trained your allies in a technique designed to protect war mages. Signal one squadmate; as a reaction, that squadmate Strides directly toward any other squadmate who is within the aura of your banner. If the first squadmate ends their movement adjacent to another squadmate, the second squadmate does not trigger reactions when casting spells or making ranged attacks until the end of their next turn or until they are no longer adjacent to the first squadmate, whichever comes first. If the first squadmate ends their movement adjacent to more than one other squadmate, the first squadmate must choose which of the adjacent squadmates gains this benefit.

If you'd like to opt out now to having to read / parce / respond to tactics at all in PbP with a lot going on already, no hard feelings, let me know here or PM or PM the GM and you will get to play totally tactic free. Also, I will phrase each tactic as a choice using "ooc text" when it happens, to which you have the option to respond. If I grant you a bonus reaction, the request is still 100% optional, but recommended by my player's brain as I look at the encounter map.

Hisaki wil be "barking" commands, but I reiterate, they are optional.

On the flip side, if you are totally down, and willing to let me move your token or roll a strike for you, let me know as well, and I will read and follow any specifications round by round!

Ulvard is wanting to learn to be a solider. He is happy to take most orders. I suggest if you want to issue and order to him, you make the action on my behalf. Attack bonuses and such are in my profile.

I'll try to indicate in my posts in battle if Ulvard is likely to ignore any orders. I assume there is nothing in the class that stops a raging barbarian from following orders?

One thing to remember with the move related ones is that with Furious Feet, Ulvard has a base move of 30 and 35 if raging, so he can cover a lot of distance.

Oh, that's a good idea. Exemplars are kind of wobbly, though. Unless we're fighting constructs, Artemios tries to have his Gleaming Blade active whenever he attacks--but it'll only be active when it's not his turn about half the time.

He still has a decent attack, it just won't get the extra spirit damage.

Hector would be very sad to learn about this. He gives so much effort to look exceptional and unforgettable!

This is Ulvard's first time with a sentient skeleton. As a spirit barbarian he has... unfortunate history with the undead that may make him a little touchy until he sees Blainn's worth and comes to understand why he is still walking the world.

Special properties of the Profile itself prevent the dice expression from triggering.

This looks like explicit permission to lauch Ulvard into action - if GM allows reactions at start of turn, I have an arrow placing your token one 30-ft Stride away from starting position.

The square south of him. He is now the authorization to move Hector anywhere the commander wants. Hector doesn't feel he could in danger by following his order.

I will frame it as a choice when I do nonetheless - If moving your PC with Gather to Me!: Token w/ arrow to new suggested Token location. And Clarence, as our redident Fighter, I will be thinking about saving your Reaction for Reactive Strike (probably granting you the "bonus" reaction w/ Drilled Reactions).

If you wanna get real granular, and specificy in your post where you might go with a "free" move, if I use that tactic I will move you there.

Followup question (a bit of a no-brainer but worth asking): What about for Strike Hard!?

No one will say no to Strike Hard, especially if you can give them their reaction back.
