And I have to go off to gaming tonight, so hopefully Hector posts before I get back.
Yeah, my time of posting is around 6 pm and 10 pm EST.

Check out the player handout on Slide 7.
SAVE THE SHIPYARD! ◈
UNCOMMON
In lieu of battle, you spend part of your time fighting fires or hauling the crew of the shipyard to safety. For firefighting, use a Survival or Athletics check to dump sand or water on a burgeoning fire. To direct the crew to safety, use an appropriate Lore, Diplomacy or Intimidate to help get the workers to safety.
Critical Success You and your allies gain two Shipyard Successes!
Success You gain one Shipyard Success.
Failure You fumble and fail to help anyone.
Critical Failure Your actions actively interfere with saving the shipyard, and you and your allies lose a Shipyard Success.

That would be an appropriate lore, yes.

This is my crazy Wednesday, and it's crazier than normal. Expect no update until maybe late tonight.

Clarence it's 2d8+4 not 2d8+8 for your basic Strike, correct?
Gah. Looks like I haven't fixed that yet... thanks for catching it.
EDIT - fixed. and it's actually +3 (16 strength)

![]() |

I would have done the strike.
Let's see what we got:
Artemois @ +10, 1d12+4 or 1d12+6 gleaming
Bob @ +10, 1d8+4 or 1d8+6 boosted
Clarence @ +12, 2d8+3
Hector @ +10, 2d6+5
Ulvard @ +9, 1d12+7 raging
Clarence is the clear winner, followed by Hector, then kind of a three-way tie.
=)

Hey all, since this has happened twice now, I am going to ask everyone to count your actions please and make sure that it adds up to three, not four.
And to quote one of my favorite movies of all time, "Five is right out!"
Hugs,
Hmm

This is my fault, i read this too fast and i thought the surrender activity was one action.

I rolled Clarence's Strike for him, not Hisaki's, and even labeled it both in the action summary (◆◆◆) and the dice expression, to speed things along.
oh - sure, go ahead my commander. :)
Permission obtained above.

However, do subtract 1 from the damage roll, per this post above.
=)
Final Note: I see Green Gorilla was taken out by the followup hit - how do you want to handle that GM? Technically, Clarence was commanded first, then Quqotengir, but due to mistakes, that order was reversed, and the targeting situation is now changed...

My gosh, you're right, I missed it! I'm going to blame the stomach thing that I had over the last 12 hours (ate something mistakenly that had hidden dairy... I got so sick!)
Let's retcon.

GM Hmm |

Okay, Time Warp done. As a bonus, I think (crosses fingers) that my gut is now done punishing me. Which is good, because I was having trouble focusing on anything while it was out of whack.

We did four playtests for this scenario, and discovered that we needed at least a one-minute gap when one of the players brought a barbarian... It was exactly the kind of thing that I hope Playtests discover!

Sorry, this game didn't alert for me until I was 18 messages behind.
GM Hmm wrote:If this actually happened, Bláinn lost 16 HP. Oil of unlife exists so skeletons have a potion equivalent. Then Nairaba grabs out a healing potion, and Kitsch loads it in a dart and shoots it at Bláinn.
[dice=Healing for Bláinn] 2d8 + 5
I made a typo. That was (as shown on the handout on Slide 7) an Oil of Unlife. Nairaba and Kitsch always send the correct healing consumable for the Pathfinders they're healing.

Thank you. I didn't think the NPCs were trying to kill me again, but one never knows.

So Clarence cannot move for the Gather to Me if he also Strikes Hard.
Agreed.
I posted two possibilities.
I am asking him to respond to Strike Hard if Quqotengir fails to drop the Goblin. Else Gather to Me (with, in this case, the rest of the party, if they choose).
=)

Yep, and I edited my post upon re-reading.
Sorry, this game didn't alert for me until I was 18 messages behind.
So... Early on in this discussion I offered to gather Discord identities. If you want, I can create a Discord notification group for those who want one.

![]() |

Unavailable for Discord group (flip phone ftw) but I make a daily effort to check in evenings and some mornings. If that is ok then I'm good to go.
=)
Also: Thank you for "dealing with" my complex frequently-off-turn Commander shenanegans!
(And let me know if you need me to format my posts in a different way ((ex. using "ooc" to lable a "flowchart" as needed!?)))

![]() |

What's the rule for trying to jump onto someone? You know, CANNONBALL! :)

![]() |

Depends what you're trying to accomplish. Unarmed attack if it's for damage. Bull rush to sink them?

![]() |

Well, Clarence is gonna dive in, hoping to hit one of them -- kinda like bodyslamming him from above.

GM rainzax |

GM hat:
That's like a high-level Fighter / Grappler feat that can be closely replicated (somewhat less satisfactorily) by a standard Athletics skill function.

GM, are you going to require an Athletics check to not sink?

![]() |

Everyone can STRIDE towards Quqotengir as a Reaction.
I forgot I put my banner on my steed - will include that in descriptions moving forward.
Also! No idea what "symbol" it should be yet, hadn't thought of that part...

That is next turn's problem, but yes!

I felt insanely proud of myself when I looked at your feats and realized how you were using your pet to move the rest of the party around the field. It is definitely something to have clearly written out for future GMs.

It's time to talk to pirates, yarr!
Also, I'm belatedly wishing you all a Happy International Talk Like a Pirate day! (It was last Friday...)

'Something Charismatic?' Really?
Lol.
GM Hmm wrote:'Something Charismatic?' Really? Well whatever Bláinn said, it was sure effective!Wasn't sure what cop I was supposed to be here, but it was clearly the right one.
Either. Or even... both?

I had a moment to move you all forward - yay!

GM Hmm |

SkalCon was great, I am still slowly uncovering and unpacking. I came home to discover a sick cat that has puked and pooped everywhere and.... a busted washing machine!
My morning has been more Ewwww Cop that I would have wanted...
