I thought we were going with Mythic Spell Recording:
You react by recognizing a spell. On a success, you memorize it so well, that later you can, through Magical Shorthand, learn and copy the spell into your spellbook. On a critical success, you not only get the success, but, can cast the spell the next round as if it were memorized during your daily preparations.
as Krakas' mythic feat, I loved it.
The mythic item is great too, it'll work well for sure.

GM, can you explain the Teleport up to speed * 1-3 and additional speed parts? The ones in rows 10 and 11. I don't know what you mean there.
I mean I understand it is a multiplier of up to 3x speed, but what is it associated with?
TechoWrath
@Tavos:
Here is a suggestion for your Mythic Rank 1 Mythic Feat:
Mythic Channeler's Stance
While in this stance, whenever you cast or Sustain an apparition spell or vessel spell that deals energy damage, you gain a status bonus to the spell’s damage equal to the spell’s rank plus your Mythic Rank.
Each time you Cast a Spell that has the vitality or void traits and that restores Hit Points while in this stance, the spells’ targets gain a status bonus to the initial amount of healing received equal to the spell’s rank plus your Mythic Rank. This bonus healing does not apply to healing over time effects (such as fast healing or regeneration).
Tavos Alvaren
@TechoWrath- I think that mythic feat fits well and is a cleaner/easier feat than any of the ones that I suggested.
RE: Artifact, I will need to think through the progression of the item and the bonuses a little more, especially looking head to future levels. Here are my initial thoughts
Increasing DC of apparition spells very powerful! That is counter-balanced by its primary benefit being limited to a relatively small pools of spells. In my current set up, there are only two of the ten apparition spells that require a saves where DC would matter. I have not looked at other apparition combinations (or past level 3) to see how that balance would end up. We could consider increasing the DC as one of the "expendable" features of the spell, and replace the passive bonus with something that is more universally useful? I'll give this more thought.
The item would also be a little bit of a slow burn, with having to accumulate charges from a relatively small resource pool (apparition spells) expended almost entirely in combat/encounter. At level 6, an animist only has 3 castings of animist spells so expending a spell to gain a charge represents 33% of a total daily resource. That balance does get a little bit better as the levels go on (level 10 has 8 total apparition spells, etc) though it will still be a little barrier to fully utilizing the item.

How about changing it to read:
The diadem has a large jewel in it. At the beginning of the day, the jewel does not contain a charge. It recharges 1/hour. Additionally, each time you cast an Apparition spell (of Rank 1 or higher), you place a charge into the jewel.
That way, it recharges automatically, but, you can recharge it during an encounter.
Tavos Alvaren
Techo, I think that change makes the item much more useful. I would also think it could start with one charge at the beginning of the day, but then not recharge. But, I am A-OK with the charges accumulating hourly which probably leads to more frequent "expenditure"
Flavor wise, since I have chosen this masked avatar, the item coudl be the central jewel set into the ivory mask.
Tabil
Row 10: If you expend a charge you can increase your speed by the amount in addition to any other speed increases granted by Warp Step
Row 11: If you expend a charge you can teleport up to your speed (or speed times 2 or speed times 3) while using Warp Step
Alright, I'll take it. Seems like an upgrade from my proposal, so I won't say no.
Could you also elaborate on the Solras situation? Do we simply consider Solras never existing and Tavos being with us all the time instead, or what do we do here?
Is she still there, and will be demoted to NPC status? Did Tavos just appear when the shard exploded?
@Krakas - I am looking at your artifact. Force Barrage is going to HURT.
@Avenger - Regarding your artifact, might I make a minor suggestion to also allow yourself to REDUCE sice on the same scaling?
TechoWrath
Yes. This is an alternate Universe where Solras never existed, and Tavos has always been with you.
I think that is best, rather than my trying to come up with a plausible reason, demoting Solras to an NPC, and trying to make it all fit within my limited capabilities.
Is that okay with everyone?
Tabil
I'm okay with it.

Going off the inventory google sheet, there is about 602 gp worth of items listed for sale.
there is that brazen minotaur head, giving some time Krakas would investigate and identify the item in a few days.
If we are able to sell all the stuff, it would be 86 gp for each of us.
Tabil
GM, for purposes of game mechanics, are wardstone shards considered metal? I see on the unique item page that you can do stuff with it, but is the enhancing part simply rubbing the shard against an item, or how does that work?
Looking at the peoples' shopping list, I might to expand mine as well. Since I am planning to do crafting for the party. Hence the ring of sustenance and the private workshop. I would take a 2 hr sleep during rests and tinker away for the rest of the duration of the rest.
With that said, I would like the party members to clarify what they plan on getting, up to level 6 items/runes. I will need to get formulas for them.
As per crafting rules, to craft an item, you must meet the following requirements:
- The item is your level or lower. An item that doesn't list a level is level 0. If the item is 9th level or higher, you must be a master in Crafting, and if it's 17th or higher, you must be legendary.
- The item must be common, or you must otherwise have access to it.
- You have an appropriate set of tools and, in many cases, a workshop. For example, you need access to a smithy to forge a metal shield, or an alchemist's lab to produce alchemical items.
- You must supply raw materials worth at least half the item's Price. You always expend at least that amount of raw materials when you Craft successfully. If you're in a settlement, you can usually spend currency to get the amount of raw materials you need, except in the case of rarer precious materials.
@Krakas - that minotaur head is identified.
The Brazen Minotaur Head is a magic object that, when mounted in a room, makes anyone in the room more skillful. It is a +1 Divine bonus to any skill check. Once per day, it can be used to cast a Rank 7 Haste, although it takes three actions.
Tabil's intention was to give it to the Eagle Watch to hang it in their war room or something, but there are 7 of us here.
As for the artifacts, should we identify them before we can use the features, or do they just come to the PCs 'naturally'?
Tabil
You do need formulas for items. I do have the basic crafter's book item, containing all common 0 level formulas. But you need to purchase / reverse engineer / otherwise acquire other formulas. That's why I ask.
Krakas
Ehh I'd be worried if the wardstone chunk counted as metal because then we could use it to enhance the cantrip Needle Darts.
per the spell "The needles impart any special properties of the metal that forms them; for instance, cold iron needles deal additional damage to creatures with weakness to cold iron. All the needles are made of the same metal, and the metal returns to you after the attack."
To that point I would like to find a chunk of cold iron though.

<snip>
While we are on the topic of downtime, can I craft some runes or have the option to purchase formulas for items? I don't know whether there are any other merchants or crafters with us, so I wanted to confirm.
I am specifically interested in a crafter's eyepiece, a private workshop, and a ring of sustenance. The ring is a level 7,...
You can probably borrow or rent a workshop (for silver -- don't even bother to keep track of it).
You can attempt to craft runes or the other common items you want. I don't happen to like the crafting rules, but, they are what we have.
Crafter's Eyepiece is common, so, the formula will cost 3 gp
Private Workshop is uncommon, the formula will cost 1/6th the cost of the complete item, which in this case is 32 gp, and is hard to find. You can spend a week trying to find it. At the end of the week, roll a d20. On a 17 or higher, you find someone willing to sell the formula.
Similarly for rare items. The formula will cost 1/5th the cost of the complete item. At the end of any week spent searching for the formula, roll 2d20. If both d20s roll 17 or higher, you find someone willing to sell the formula.
You may have an ally roll a diplomacy check to aid you in your search for an uncommon or rare formula. The DC will be 15 plus the level of the formula's item plus 5 if uncommon or 10 if rare. Success = +1 to your search roll, critical success = +2 to your search roll. A natural 20 on the Diplomacy roll adds an additional +1.
How does that sound for a homebrew rule?
Tabil
It's an interesting idea, but I would propose slight number tweaking. If I may.
These are numbers and ratios of item rarity as of today (source):
All - 5445 - 100%
Common - 2760 - ~50.6%
Uncommon - 1977 - ~36.3%
Rare - 708 - ~13%
Uncommon: Rolling a 17 or higher is a 20% chance
Rare: Rolling a double 17 or better is a 4% chance.
This doesn't seem proportional the numbers presented above (Uncommon 36.3% vs 20% / Rare 13% vs 4%), so I would suggest the following change.
Finding an uncommon (~36.3%) formula/item requires a DC 13 flat check (35% chance).
Findind a rare (~13%) formula/item requires a DC 13 flat check twice in a row (12.25% chance).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Either way, how many weeks have we been cleaning up Kenabres? How long of a downtime are we talking? Gameplay post states a few/several weeks.
What I am asking is, can I roll to find some uncommon formulas? Using whichever DC you deem appropriate. Are there even such merchants in Kenabres?
Avenger of the Green
You do need formulas for items. I do have the basic crafter's book item, containing all common 0 level formulas. But you need to purchase / reverse engineer / otherwise acquire other formulas. That's why I ask.
After the remaster, you don't need formulas for common items. they provide a bonus day and give you access to uncommon or rarer items.
Formulas
A written formula for an item helps you create it with less difficulty. This has two functions. First, it reduces the time needed to start Crafting from 2 days to 1, as you have less preparation to do. Second, you can Craft uncommon and rarer items if you're able to acquire their formulas. See Formulas for information on formulas.
Krakas
For what it counts too, Krakas took magical crafting which let him learn 4 level 2 common formula's.
For the most part all he learned was how to craft scrolls primarily, if there are a couple other common level 2 magic items y'all want me to learn let me know.
Would like to find the formula for wands, those are a level 3 formula, which would only cost 3 gp, so I imagine pretty easy to find.
Tavos Alvaren
Tavos doesn't have much of a current need/role for downtime, and he is at a relative deficiency of gold to spend. I would imagine that he is simply going to earn income during this time.
Is the link to party gear somewhere handy? Tavos would like to look through it and see if there is something there worth keeping before its sold (assuming the party is OK with that, as he wasn't present at its finding)
Tabil
I think you just 'inherit' Solras' gold. The link is in the GM's post header. "Inv"
@Avenger - Oh. I stand corrected. Thanks. I still need to find formulas for the private workshop and ring of sustenance, but after that I should be fine.
And yes, I would also like to get my hands on a cold iron and silver plate. A dagger blade-sized piece would do.
Tavos Alvaren
@GM
I filled out the macro link for Tavos.
The only issue I encountered was determining the best way to denote a +2 to all seek rolls. I have a +12 perception, and an additional +2 for initiative and seek.
As an aside: I wasn't able to figure out the math for the initiative calculator. It seem all the other characters have a bonus +1 from somewhere (Intiatives = Perception+1) but when I do 12+2 = 14. If I put 14 in the perception field, then it calculates an initiative as 15.
Tavos Alvaren
"Your apparitions watch over you. You gain a +2 status bonus to Perception checks made to Seek and when using Perception for your initiative roll. At 12th level, this status bonus increases to +3, and at 20th level, to +4."
Tabil
It's the scout bonus from Perla.
You scout ahead and behind the group to watch danger, moving at half speed. At the start of the next encounter, every creature in your party gains a +1 circumstance bonus to their initiative rolls.
Never mind. I see you already put the status bonus down in the table.
Ignore meeee....
the righteous medal of valor grants a +2 to CMD, converting would that be a +2 bonus to Fort saves vs Trip/Grapple/Disarm checks basically?
GM I'm looking for a Mage's Hat, would I be able to find one of those for sale in the ruins of Kenebras. Its a lvl 3 common item, 50gp.
Also I'd be using this downtime to try and learn/research a couple spells:
1st:
carryall
500 toads *of note this is considered a rare spell because its from NPC Core
kinetic ram
grease
2nd
darkness
darkvision
laughing fit
marvelous mount
see the unseen
far-flung fetch *of note this is considered a rare spell because its from NPC Core
gecko grip
Water Breathing
Figure now is the time to try and learn spells before we hit the road.
Yeah, CMD doesn't exist. So, it is a +2 to Fort Saves vs Trip, Disarm, Grapple, Shove, etc. Anything that uses a Fort Save that affects your position.
Each of the medals gives an Item bonus.
It is a +2 Sacred bonus to a save vs Confusion or Insanity. So, it would stack with Item, Circumstance, or other bonuses.
