Lt. Vhane and Elena already have a +2 cloak of resistance, and the rest of us have a +1 cloak. I'm fine with Bharak and Elathras upgrading their cloaks, because ancient Thassilonian floating blobs aside, Axton isn't going to be on the front line.
Also, I'm fine with going forward for now. We're still pretty close to the entrance, so we can hopefully retreat to safety if we need to camp for the night.

Bharak has good saves due investing into them with hardy, and it isn’t fair for the front lines to get all the loot. Plus a caster failing a save is bad news bears for all of us. Axton, for example, could use help on his Fort saves.
I’m happy on passing on a better cloak for now

I'm fine with Bharak and Axton taking the cloaks, sure. I invested a lot of gold into my saving throws and defenses but it's always best to put found gear to use on people that still need it.

Okay, thanks. I missed the cloak +3.
I forgot about the monk's robes! It's basically just a +1 to AC for anyone in this party that has a chest slot available. If Elena doesn't want it, Axton will take it.
I'm just going to make a note at the top of my character sheet that I have the two items, and I'll add them correctly this weekend after my family flies home (and my in-laws fly to another home with many states between us).

Does it work on someone already wearing armor...? I thought a monk ac bonus only worked for those not wearing that.
That aside, i dont think Elena would. There isn't much that would get the inquisition of Shelyn sacked on you but wearing that as a priest of her would probably do it :)

"You are an atrocity against art!"
Having something like a dragqueen inquisitor of Shelyn based around such a concept might be funny :)
Side note, I did another look at Elena's hp and it seems to be a bit too low for what it should be. She rolled 8,8,8,7,5,5,5,5 for hp rolls. Adding her con (+1) eight times and then 2 x a fcb in hp should be 63, not 62. I think i forgot to add the con modifyer once or such.

Just to clarify, there is no visible way forward at present? There is a door implied at the southern edge if the map but the description suggest we might not be aware of it or that it is hidden.
In that room, I assumed, since it's a white rectangle instead of an 'S' that, it's a regular door and we can see it.
There is also the hallway and the door further up on the left, if we want to move on.

You mean the onyx coffin we wisely (?) walked past at the very entrance?
And really? You mean It wasn't just an obvious trap? What would have happened?
...I'm now temped to go back there later to check, even if there's absolutely no in-character way Elena would normally ever do such a thing.

Warning, major spoilers!
You encountered it on Gameplay Page 32.
The False Sepulcher
The ceiling of this grand hall is made of polished gray marble.
It rises to a height of twenty-five feet, supported by ornate columns whose central eight-foot-sections have been carved to resemble a beautiful woman. A ten-foot-square platform sits in a wide alcove on the north wall, atop which lies a white marble sarcophagus with a painted lid.
The sound of gently running water echoes along the hall to the west.
Both the figures represented in the columns and the painted lid of the sarcophagus depict a beautiful darkhaired, lithe woman sleeping with arms crosse d over her chest-a detailed depiction of Runelord Sorshen.
The lid weighs 600 pounds, but isn't locked.
Within the sarcophagus lies the perfectly preserved body of a woman identical to the one depicted on the lid, clad in diaphanous flimsy robes and an enormous amount of splendid jewelry. She looks almost as if she's sleeping, not dead.
The body is warm to the touch and emanates an overwhelming necromantic aura, and a successful DC28 Knowledge (arcana) check correctly identifies this as a clone of none other than Sorshen herself, held
in preservation by a permanent gentle repose effect.
The fact that this clone still exists and hasn't been activated yet poses some significant implications-primarily that, somewhere, Runelord Sorshen is still very much alive.
It's a simple matter to destroy the clone, although ultimately this is but one of many clones Sorshen kept in secure locations throughout her realm. Nevertheless, destroying this clone ensures that should the Runelord of Lust rise again and then die, she will not be using this
particular body to come back to life.
Trap: If anyone attempts to harm the clone or loot its jewelry, a devious but malfunctioning trap triggers. Originally, attempting either of these actions simply struck the grave robber with the overwhelming sensation of Sorshen's clone animating, growing to enormous size, and
then crushing the grave robber in her fist-with an effect similar to that created by a phantasmal killer spell.
Over the millennia, though, this trap has interacted with the clone's
magic in strange ways, such that anyone killed by the spell treats the Sorshen clone as his own clone, provided the clone is undamaged.
In this case, the victim immediately wakens after being slain in his new body, although with the customary two permanent negative levels that result from coming back to life.
This link persists even if the victim succeeded at the saving throw to resist death from the phantasmal killer effect-if at any time thereafter the victim dies, he is immediately reborn in the clone.
This lingering effect (which can be correctly identified with a successful DC35 Spellcraft check) can be dispelled, although it functions at caster level 20th.
The new body does not alter the character's statistics in any way, with the exception that the character's race becomes Azlanti. All of the character's racial traits are lost, replaced by human racial traits (you
should give the player some time to choose his bonus feat and apply his bonus skill ranks as the player sees fit).
In addition, the character loses his racial ability scores from the previous race, replacing them with the standard +2 bonus to all six ability scores that Azlanti humans get.
====================================================================
The trap was DC28 perception to spot, DC28 to disable. This would most likely have been Bharak, failing would mean Bharak 'dies' and the body in the sarcophagus seems to wake up.
So Bharak would have woken up as a human female. Though with +2 to all stats. And yes walking around in Runelord Sorshen's body would have some major consequences! :)

Yeah, the Lady's Light I believe, book 2. Right at the entrance there was a foreboding tomb we decided not to open. Apparently, something really cool would have happened if we did, rather than that being a simple trap. Oh well, not going to check the spoiler. If there is some sort of credible ingame reason to go back and check it, I might later on.
@GM_DBH on the current scene, if Bharak's investigation of the lever does not make it out to be immediately dangerous, Elena will flip the handle to study its function.

Here's the decisions I'm making for levelling Axton. I'll get the changes made to this alias as soon as I can.
Sorcerer level 9
HP: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Whoop!
New Bonus Spell: Dimension Door
New Bloodline Power: New Arcana, which gets me an additional spell. I'm picking Emergency Force Sphere.

3rd - Slow
4th - Confusion

I guess the plan from here is to have Axton cast fireballs back to back until it hopefully dies? There's not much I can do to help from here - I can mabe summon a Bison to overrun/trample a swarm if that works, or an air elemental to sweep up the swarm and keep pushing it back perhaps.
We should probably get a pair of Swarmbane Clasps for our melee fighters in case we have to deal with swarms again. At 3 k they're really cheap and allow them to ht swarms normally.

We'd need someone to roll a 27 on knowledge planes for that info, Elena ronly had a 26. (Or I'd need an assist on planes?) That said, resist 10 is annoyong but when the metamagic'd fireball does 52 damage... you'd need a fairly powerful wand to produce similar damage I think.
Though I'm not sure in which order resistance and swarm vulnerablity apply, which does matter here. Applying resistance first means you'd do 33 damage and vulnerability first means you'd get 42.
Alternatively, one other way to 'kill' the swarm perhaps is trapping it in a stone tomb with stoneshape.

@Dbh How much travel time would it be to return to the city, specifically where we can buy magical items? This might be a good moment to withdraw and return with swarnbane clasps on our melee. We should have enough gold to afford them at 3 k gold each, even just by selling what we found in the first room.

![Merisiel](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO90124-Merisiel_500.jpeg)
Okay. Then I suggest, unless someone stops Elena from Stoneshaping over the door and assuming this is enough to stop the swarm chasing us - if it can catch up - that we return to the city/scholars and do anti-swarm shopping. Maybe the scholars can help us identify what we saw (technically, if this counts, Elena only needs an assist as she got 26 instead of the target dc 27), and we can prepare accordingly - like swarmbane clasps on the frontline and antitoxins of everyone to help vs its poison.
