Trawets, what sort of knowledge check for these things?
Keeping 'the ladies gift' held high, Ian perform a bewildering show of prowess using his skill with the blade to attempt to intimidate the three statues.

Enos Flamebrother |
Has everyone moved their tokens into the room and my map is just not updating? It's so small, but there appear to be two still in the hallway.
Knowledge (Arcana_: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
GM: Enos is suspicious of the runes. Can we attack the runes specifically and weaken the dweomer on these statues?
Enos wants to help the dwarves by focusing attacks on whichever has been hit the most and shares any knowledge (or suppositions) that his memory provides.
He will move into reach of Leothar's opponent, drawing his second blade, and attempts an attack not to do damage, but to aid Leothar in his attacks. If he is attacked (and struck) via attack of opportunity, he will use Mirror Dodge to teleport to a flanking position with Leothar if possible.
Aid Another Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
DM Trawets |
Dadna moves in and smashes one of the guardians with two swings and turns it to rubble. Leothar then pounds the next one down the line but it still stands. Enos remember some things he heard about these creatures and makes it easier for Leothar to attack his target.
The two remaining guardians seem to focus on Leothar and unleash a flurry of blows at him. Only one gets through but it is a very solid hit. 34 damage and 4 bleed

Having had success taking out one of the golems, Dadna focused on the undamaged one. Taking a deep breath, she swung with all of her might, the first one shattering a leg. It fell with a crash, only for her to bring her weapon down squarely upon its’ chest.

Enos Flamebrother |
I just realized that I failed to include +2 for flanking in my attack roll. I mostly did it to aid Leothar again, but I'm not going to sneeze at any damage I can add to the thing.
Ian Passeri |
Realizing his 'intimidation had no effect, Ian, wanting to inspire his friends, keeps 'the ladies gift' lifted high, performing an impressive display of prowess.
Full round action: inspiring sword
For all of you:
Mythic Focus: Whenever a mythic ally that is within 30 feet uses the surge ability, it rolls its bonus die twice and takes the higher result.
Iomedae's Inspiring Sword Optional Replacement: 1/2 rds. While wielding a longsword, you can perform an impressive display of prowess as a full-round action. All allies within 30 feet who can see your display gain a +2 sacred bonus on attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks for 1 round + 1 round per 5 points of base attack bonus you have.
Enos Flamebrother |
Rats, I forgot this bonus to my attack, also. I think Enos actually hit!
Ian Passeri |
Smiling as he realizes the dwarves had destroyed the statues, Ian gestures towards the doors, "Shall we?"
-------------------------
Having finished searching the rest of the Citadel, Ian nods approvingly, "Shall we bring the army in and have them begin setting up a proper defense?"
Dadna Cloudbreaker |
Dadna did not cheer, for a cloud of doom hung over her head. It didn’t feel right, as she expected to find a succubus or the like in hiding, or a demon made of shadows to be lurking therein. But despite the gloom, she had to admit that there was no evidence to back it up.
”Yes.” She said, her voice both wary and weary. ”Let us do so. The Keep must be fortified and the banner secured.”
Leothar |
"I am fairly certain the succubus has escaped. We can ask the Planetar if he has any way to confirm that with his heavenly magic."
Leothar |
"I will stay behind to guard the Sword of Valor after the Planetar departs."
I would rather not leave, but if retraining is not possible, then the party will be better off with Leothar replaced by a new PC, one informed by the AP experience to date and better designed to solve problems and cover our weaknesses. Leothar's inability to do anything other than damage were, in my view, a major factor in this dungeon being such an excruciating slog.
Enos Flamebrother |
"Are you sure, Leothar? I mean, even one such as you will have to rest. You cannot do this alone. And your experience and prowess will be sorely missed in the battles to come."
Do what you feel is right, but I would not blame any particular character (or player) about the citadel being a slog. And if I'm not mistaken, each section of an adventure path is quite different. Leothar might be exactly what we need in the next section. Just sayin'.
