While navigating the dangerous borderlands between Nex and the Mana Wastes, you stumble upon a long-abandoned smuggler’s cache with crates of semi-precious jewels and alchemical components. It’s clear at a glance that it has been many years since this cache was left behind. You can be fairly secure in an assumption that no owner will be returning for these goods. While many of the alchemical components have long since desiccated or rotted away, others are safely stored in sealed vials or are simply nonperishable, meaning there is still some notable value to be gained from their resale.
This cache of ancient coins, gems, and vials is worth 250 gp to the right collector.

You are able to find enough favorable terrain to make up time on the oozeshard, reaching it before it enters the Mana Wastes proper.
You find yourself in a desolate swath created by the all-consuming passage of the oozeshard. It is littered with dust and detritus and very little else, as anything powerful or foolish enough to challenge the oozeshard— rather than fleeing from it—has already been consumed.
It's obvious that the oozeshard is not moving with great purpose or speed, so you have time to prepare as you wish. The creature is surrounded by some nodes of ooze that seem to react to it, swaying in time with its undulations.
