I believe you should have a link to click for editing the campaign on the main page. If you go there there should be a small box near the top labeled something like "this campaign is inactive". That box should have a checkmark in it. Click the button to remove the checkmark, and I believe you'll have to save changes.
I think that should take care of it.

Does the party have a CLW wand yet?

Aoife Geanath |

Oh, uh. Hi guys. Don't know if you still have an open slot for an old player who is apparently just the absolute worst at checking their PMs, but I can hop in or just sort of lurk in case a replacement player is needed.

The GM in Yellow |

Well the party currently consists of Laura, Okita, Kioku, Joseph, and Gretel, right? That's five, but if the party wants to accept Aoife back for a sixth, that's up to them. Getting the gameplay post up right now.
Trying to figure out where everyone has been before meeting back up, and then we'll get started again!

Bloody Laura |

I have no objection to re-adding old members if our GM is willing to accommodate us. I play in another PbP game that has eight players, and so far it seems to work pretty well with the GM increasing the difficulty slightly. So far no one has vanished or dropped out of that game, but I feel confident that if someone does we have enough that we can still continue, and maybe that same circumstance applies here?

Bloody Laura |

I don't think so. This is going to be a little tricky, because we haven't found very much treasure yet, certainly not enough to give those of us who aren't making new characters wealth equivalent to WBL 3. I'm not complaining, but it means that we might lag behind the new characters when it comes to things like consumables and wondrous items.

Aoife Geanath |

Awesome! Thanks guys. I'll level myself shortly.
EDIT: As Aoife is now a level 3 Blackblade, that means she's due to find a blackblade in the near future, or have her current sword awaken as one. Not sure how you want to handle that, GM?

Okita Satomi |

Hi, I'll get leveled up and ready to go by tomorrow. I've been painting the house in my spare time all week.

Okita Satomi |

If seven is too many and you don't want to split into two games, I'll step out so you can run with all the originals, along with Gretel and Joseph.
I don't want to see any original players horned out, and I invited Gretal and Joseph both to the game. I don't want to see them out after having put all the work they did into creating characters after I raised their expectations.
EDIT: After thinking about it a little more, I don't want to pile extra work on you either Yellow. It would be a lot of trouble to have to adjust all the encounters to accommodate a large party, or to run two tables. I'll definitely drop out so you can keep the party at six players.

eriktd |

Really GM, it's completely up to you. This game only works as long as you are engaged and keeping us going. Anything that gets in the way of that should be dropped quickly or I'm sure the adventure will fall apart again. Simply tell us what you're comfortable with and we will all go along with it. :)

Gretel S. |

So I'm already running a game here and I don't feel it would be appropriate to take someone's spot who may not have a table so I'll be dropping so the origionals can have some fun.

_Veda_ |

If it's not a fit, then there's no worries. I'm in enough games as well.
On the other hand, 7 in PbP aren't that much either in my experience.
Someone is kind of always late or away for a time and there's always some attrition usually.
If it's not too much for you GM in Yellow, go on with the 7, just add a little punch to encounters :D

Aoife Geanath |

With Strange Aeons, having people mysteriously vanish for an encounter or two only adds to the mystique, clearly.
*shrug* your call, GM.

The GM in Yellow |

I think it wouldn’t be fair to the original group of five to not include any of them in the restart of the game. It’s not their fault I paused it originally, nor is it theirs they weren’t ready immediately for it to restart.
As far as the two newcomers goes, I will keep you in mind for the next time I need any new players. Sorry for wasting your time!

Okita Satomi |

I understand why you're making that decision Yellow, but you only have four players. I am, as I said, bowing out of this game. I recruited 2 players with the understanding they would be in the game. It's certainly your call to decide the size of the party you want to run, which players are participating, and so forth.
But, I did in effect offer some guarantees to the players I recruited. If those can't be met, I can't in good conscience stay in the game while they are excluded. So whether I'm leaving the game to reduce the party to six, and I'm leaving the game because you want to go with the original players only, I am leaving the game.
No hard feelings or anything of the sort. I hope you all have a great time playing.

Joseph Curwen |

I don't think I can mentally or emotionally handle seven gestalt PC's, and I'd rather the original players have change to finish their story.

The GM in Yellow |

If Okita doesn’t want to play, I think my original decision still stands. Six is a bit much, was aiming for five, and I can’t just choose one of the two.
I’ll be sticking with the original four for now, so sorry to the two newcomers.
The four originals just feel free to continue in the gameplay thread from where we left off, as I have started it up again there. If anyone of you have any questions about the last game or what’s going on, just go ahead and ask.

The GM in Yellow |

Hey guys, sorry I suck and let my issues get the better of me.
Is everyone still interested in continuing this campaign? I would certainly understand if you didn't, but I have finished my move into my new apartment out of my parents house, and would love the opportunity to try to get this going one last time.

_Veda_ |

Since Veda was absent for some time, i't just gonna play it out as she took a time out in the chapel, hope that's allright!

_Veda_ |

Seems including me 3 players posted lately, the other 3 posted last last year, or 1 2019.
They might come back or not, but we can continue with 3 people and once this is stable again we might recruit someone else or not.
Just don't get demotivated. The boards are very slow since some time now and lots of people are not in their best spots due to the world being the world right now.

That's actually really helpful for me to hear, as I have dealt with that for a long time with regards to my ability to hold a game together. But you're right, I shouldn't let the slowness of the board get to me.
I look forward to continuing this game, no matter how that ends up happening!

_Veda_ |

Good to hear it's helpful for you :D
To be fair, i had 2 major absences in the last year as well, just because i had neither the time nor the energy (and partially no internet or only on phone as well) to keep up with the boards and post something.
We live in interesting times sadly.
And PbP - like any regularly scheduled activity with adults who have a life, job and possibly family - can be difficult in calmer and more regular times already.
For me looking at the boards, stability and steadiness make the game and groups.
There are some groups and people who want it very fast, but that's often quickly outlived and better for scenarios, not campaigns.
For campaigns you just stick around in the greater scheme^^
So yeah, looking forward to continue this as well!

Aoife Geanath |

I mean, I'll vanish for like two weeks from my other games for basically no reason at all at times. So a slow game in many ways is better for me.
