Immana Arvina |

yes, but they're supposed to be confirmed just like any other attack roll...
"Wait" Immana cries out as Bob goes ahead, but it's too late as she sees the rocks fall on the ranger. She starts making her way carefully over to him.
acro: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Brightberry |

"Ooh. I can make healing grapes yet today. It will keep him from dying anyway."
Brightberry closes his eyes real tight as...
goodberry: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
...pop out of his vines.
"Here, give him one of these."

Immana Arvina |

Having reached Bob, Immana shakes him gently, trying to wake him up. When that fails, she takes some of the berries that Brightberry had given her. After hesitating a bit, she crushes a few in Bob's mouth and lets the juices drain down his throat, then waits for a reaction.
Let's use...2 for now. I'll give the rest to Bob for him to consume as he sees fit.

Brightberry |

each berry just does one hp. We can stabilize Bob for now, that's about it.
"Let's go back to a place to rest, not for two weeks like Bob said, but for a day or two."

Immana Arvina |

actually since it was amended to 8 damage he should be at 0 before heals, I think

Oh, Ha! I didn't even look at his roll. I thought it was going to be 16 doubled! So, I was at 0 and Disabled, meaning I could have moved to get the berries myself. Cool!

Atar Bilaruh |

"S$~@! Bob!" Atar yells, then flails about uselessly whilst watching Immana handing the healing berries to his friend. "I guess that's enough action for the day."

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

"Agreed. Let's get back to the inn. We can at least let Cornelius know what we found."

The Ancient GM |

You and Immana very carefully taking pains to slowly get back. You pack up and head back to the tavern it’s close to noon and you see the place is relatively quiet the bartender simply cleaning up glasses and fixing the place for another night of drinking. A few people sit in a corner talking to each other.
When asked about Cornelius you’re a directed to his room, “Old geezer has been up there all day. Probably tired from the wine yesterday.”

Immana Arvina |

in the caves...
"Oh, good, you're still alive", Immana says with relief as Bob stirs. "Here, stay still a bit, I can help a bit more." As she runs her blue hands over the worst of the bruising and breaking, the wounds start to heal up a bit - but there's still a ways to go. With that done, she carefully helps Bob up and they make their way back to safety.
kinetic healer: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
can do more as needed, assuming we won't be heading back in today

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

Back in the cavern...
Bob jerks away suspiciously from Immana's touch, but then allows the effort. Blinking in surprise as the water heals his bruises, Bob look embarrassed.
"Thank you Immana, that was... unexpected. You and Brightberry are a great asset to this team." Looking back at the collapsed cavern, he mumbles. "More than I am so far, anyways"
------
Now, in the inn
"In his room all day? Has he eaten?" Bob, suddenly very concerned heads straight up to Cornelius' room.
Knocking lightly, he calls out. "Boss? You in there? We're back again with more to report."
If there is no answer, he will knock louder. If there is still no answer, he will try to open the door.

Atar Bilaruh |

Atar keeps a close eye on Bob and follows him upstairs. Two seconds after the first knock, he simply tries to open door, no matter the answer or lack thereof.
"Cornelius We have so much stuff to tell you! Also, know anything about…Tog…? No, Zog, the almighty."

The Ancient GM |

You open the door after to find the man simply reading over a book, sitting at a small table in the room, he looks up at you as if he was about to speak. “Oh, I see you have returned, and you look like you’ve been through the ringer no doubt.”
he stands stretching his back and a look of deep thought creeps across his face. “Zog? Hmm well I do know of a kingdom of Zog. It was goblinoid kingdom That existed here in the stolen lands several hundred years ago, though was dismantled by a coalition of small River nations after a plague. The name interestingly enough is rather a catch-all for The empire as the leaders were all referred to as Zog.”
he licks his lips looking at the window realizing the time. “Ao do tell your exploits then?”

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

Sighing with relief, Bob enters and stands to the side. "Yes, the inhabitants of this particular structure are more tenacious than we were expecting.
We encountered some type of cricket/plant abomination protecting a statue that had been slagged with acid. It seemed that there might be something inside of a cubby in the statue's chest, but we weren't able to get it open."
Bob describes the statue, in case it means anything to Cornelius. "There there was a room full of glowing mist and a magical trap. Past that we encountered some goblins. I'll let Atar tell you about them.
The only other thing we encountered was a dead goblin in a crumbled section of hallway carrying this magical armor that we haven't identified yet."

Atar Bilaruh |

Atar looks slightly disappointed with the reply. "Oh, ok. Well, there isn't that much to say, actually. These goblins said they were Zog followers seeking some important treasure in the dungeon, but I managed to convince them Zog actually wanted them to go north. Which they did, so we managed not to spill some blood there, at least."
He looks at Bob then back at Cornelius. "Well, I guess that was it. How did things go for you, Cornelius? Any of the locals giving you trouble?"

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

Sighing, Bob looks at the magical armor. "Selling this might allow us the resources to purchase a healing wand. In the long run, that is probably more effective."

The Ancient GM |

He nods, thinking. ”Well I can imagine the dangers are ever present but that is why I hired you all. Hmm look around town maybe you’ll be able to find someone who’s willing to trade a wand for your new found armor. Feel free to divert yourselves to a side job, I have enough money for us to stay here for a week or two, depending on how much you all eat and drink haha.”

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

"Agreed. We have that gem from the trap room as well, correct? Was that magical at all?"

Atar Bilaruh |

"I'm fine with that. Perhaps we should show the gem to Cornelius? He might know something about it. At least it seems like he knows a lot of things."

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

After Brightberry shows the gem to Cornelius and they get his response, Bob heads back downstairs and gets the group together to talk over plans.
"I like Conelius' idea of picking up some side jobs. This dungeon seems to be a bit tougher than we are ready for.
Getting a bit more experience and some better equipment might be a good idea before we try to explore anything else beyond that collapsed room.
Where are the best places to look for work? We could check with the mayor, I suppose, or the Basilisks. Perhaps there is even a local tavern with postings. We could ask around downstairs.
What does everyone think?"

The Ancient GM |

He takes a look at the gem, for a moment before muttering a word under his breath. He looks confused for a second then says. “Unfortunately it seems to be just a plain gem. I’m not to sure of what it is exactly, my geology is a quite rough. Though it does worth a few coin. Might I suggest the bartender downstairs for a lay of the land, as for Where best to find a job I’m not entirely sure. Though I’m sure you can find it easily enough in this small town.” he hands the gem back with a smile.

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

Heading down to the bar, Bob orders a beer and engages the bartender. "Nice town you got here. Rough... which usually indicates it is a good place to make some coin.
You got a place where people tend to go if they're looking to get some dangerous work done?"
I don't recall if we already found a place to buy/sell stuff. Does anyone remember?

Atar Bilaruh |

Atar is the last to leave and waves at Cornelius as he closes the door.
Seeing that Bob was already talking to the bartender, he joins Trakas and the others.
I thought we had, but can't find it right now.

The Ancient GM |

You have, you went to the local general store, Thornkeep Mercanitle. They're one of a few different merchants in town.
The bartender nods and get's it for you. "Well you can go to the Thirsty Ogre, it's a lot rougher in there than it is here. People looking for dangerous work go there a lot. You can also try talking to the merchants about town, we got a few and i'm sure at least one of them has work. Or if your feeling plucky go see the baron or even the blue basilisks to find work.'

Brightberry |

Love the new tabs! Renewed my excitement.
"I don't think we should talk to the baron. Blue Basilisk sounds better. We've already talked to them. Rest, then go to Thornkeep Merc, then Blue Basilisk?"

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

"We might get a better price on the armor by going to the armorer, but starting at the Mercantile is a good idea. I'll need some arrows, and it might be the best bet for finding a wand of healing.
I also like the bartender's idea of asking the merchants for work first. Their tasks are likely to be a trifle less dangerous."

The Ancient GM |

He leans over the bar and offers an idea. “If you want a wand or some other magic item, you may want to try the House of the River Lord, or the Shrine or Battle. The temples sometimes they sell magicky things. You could try someone from the Goldenfire Order too, the local mages guild. A few of the mages live in their tower. Just a heads up to you guys.

Immana Arvina |

"Sounds like a good plan." Immana replies to Bob, adding to the bartender as she slips him a little extra coin, "thanks for your help."
Feeling generous, I guess

Thibaut "Bob" Dufour |

"The Shrine of Battle? Would that be a temple to Gorum?
That does sound an excellent idea. That might be a place where we could expect to do a straight swap."
If nobody object, I think that might be best as a first destination. Take care of the most important tasks first.

Atar Bilaruh |

Sounds good to me.
Atar, overhearing the whole conversation, stands up and pats Trakas on the shoulder. "Drink up. Seems we're going to get some healing stuff."

The Ancient GM |

He takes the coin with a smile. “Thank you very much. And it is.”
You all get your things together and head to the Shrine of Battle. As you approach the name is a bit of a overstatement. A small hut stands next to a large sword carved to look like its put into a boulder. A young woman stands near the front chiseling away at the bottom.

Brightberry |

Brightberry will walk up to the rock, admiring it. He will them turn toward the caver. "You make the rock into a heroic figure. Can you do the same with plants? If you can't, can you trade us a wand that will heal us when we are not so heroic?"
. The long silence caused the plant to take the lead and speak, lol.

Atar Bilaruh |

"What my little budy here said, ma'am. We've been going around hitting things, and sometimes they hit us back. Our buddy has been patching us up, but if you have something to take a load off his back…we have some shiny magic armour."

The Ancient GM |

The young women looks up, tired and sweaty from chiseling a name into the rock. “oh, I didn’t make this, it’s been here before I was born, Master Stonefort it was carved probably a few hundred years ago. I’m simply adding his name to it. But if you need healing I can help you. Though I umm don’t have anything to give you. Master Stonefort might though, he says he’s seen enough battle that he can smell it off from a mile away.”

Brightberry |

"Where is Master Stonefort? It is an item we need."
Brightberry ponders over the name 'Stonefort' for a moment. the name would indicate that he lives in a fort made of stone. Looking around, he probably does not see what he is expects a fort to look like.
Another 'blue basilisk' situation I guess.

“Oh he’s at the Thirsty Ogre, the place gets quite rowdy. And for some reason the old dwarf thinks it’s the funnest time.” she stands up smiling look at all of you, she’s a youngish brown haired human girl with dark brown eyes. She’s looks far sturdier than you realized when she as chiseling, having large arms and worn hands.
