Thorax Toothlicker |

Just squeezed in!!
I'm super excited ^_^
Back in 1994 I started gaming with AD&D 2nd Edition, and my first PC was a Goblin Fighter/Rogue named Thorax Toothlicker.
We were all learning the game, and our DM was more storyteller than rules lawyer, so Thorax really blossomed as a greedy, hungry, lying thief. Another PC in our party liked to collect trophies of our enemies, like claws and teeth, but he'd leave these perfectly good bodies just lying behind! So Thorax's most memorable character trait was this gross "Bag of Meat" he'd carry around with him.
When I heard PF2 was making Goblins legal, I knew exactly who I'd recreate ^_^. The ability to eat anything as a racial trait was the perfect touch!
Since I'm constantly busy with Starfinder Society, Thorax will probably be my only foray into PF2, so thank you for the opportunity!
Now just gotta wait for the book to drop...
EDIT: Oh, anyone know how Playtest Points work yet? I played Thorax through all of the scenarios.

I will also be playing a Goblin, though I'm going a different route with RP as well as making him a barbarian.
Playtest points, last I heard, will be a currency used to purchase boons for your characters. I'm not sure what will be available, but there was a post somewhere (can't find it) which gave a link to a thread about some of the options.
I'll wait to dot in until I can register a V2 PC. Thanks for running the scenario Luke Parry!

Welcome aboard!
For the record, the relevant blog post is HERE.

Just got my Core Rule book today, it everything is awesome, nice upgrade from the playtest, and although they said it was way different, really not much, but all the classes are made better. Still playing that sorcerer, unless I go fighter.

Thorax Toothlicker |

I'm following THIS thread for updates. Was supposed to drop yesterday =(
How important is a positive Con Mod in V2? Anyone know? lol
IIRC from the Playtest, didn't you receive more benefit from the Medicine skill with a higher Con mod?

The Sesquipedalian Thaumaturge |

Given that you basically get max hit dice rolls at every level and extra hit points from your ancestry, Con mod is going to be a substantially smaller percentage of your HP than it was in PF1. On the other hand, the way critical successes and failures work on saving throws now could make the bonus to Fort more important.
Not sure about the Medicine thing.

Thorax Toothlicker |

Purchased the Famous Explorer boon instead (start a PC at 3rd level with 75gp).
Working on character today!

I'm in the process of creating a human rogue. (Don't look at the profile yet, it's really messy.)
Looking forward to playing with you all!

![]() |

I've finished a preliminary build for a human illusionist. I modeled the formatting on a monster stat block, which I think works decently. There's definitely still room for improvement though.
The guide is currently available here at the Organized Play Foundation website.

Okay, so I have like 45 points to purchase
What is Ramlock's Tower?
Does Artic Survivor stack with other things? Ie. I'm an artic Elf, would I get both forums of cold resistance?
What is mental resistance? Like Will resistance

I'm going to bring in my Level 2 fighter.
Gave him Experienced Adventurer (level 2)
Rugged Navigator and Initiatives Wayfinder. Now to update him to Level 2.
Still would like to know the answers to those questions though. Noticed boons cost more each time you purchase them.
You sure you want to be Level 3 there Thorax or rather bring in that guy, you'll be out of tier and earning out of tier gold instead of tier 3 and 4 gold. One reason why I took Level 2 even though I could make him level 3, cause I'd be waiting a while before I could use that character and get full tier benefits.

Thorax Toothlicker |

Besides the fact that it's too late now, Thorax is likely to be my only PF2 character, and I'm only doing PbP. That means 1 to 2 levels a year. I'd rather be enjoying higher level content (and surviving lower level out-of-tier adventures).
Plus, he already played every Playtest scenario, so he'd almost be Level 3 anyways as far as XP is concerned.
Working on a multitab Drive spreadsheet for him now. Already have skill bonuses auto-calculating. Makes copy/paste easier for PbP. Next is a tab that tracks expenses and bulk.
When does this game start?

![]() |

Only if you can get it done before gameday, cause I'm signed up for every Pathfinder version 2 game being run, which means I can't play it, unless it is replayable.

![]() |

It has the 'Repeatable' tag, so I am pretty certain that it can be replayed.
If we get a quorum of people that are interested, I would be happy to give it a shot.

On another note, there is no quiver in the book. What, just use another sheath hold my arrows?

Thorax Toothlicker |

You sure you want to be Level 3 there Thorax or rather bring in that guy, you'll be out of tier and earning out of tier gold instead of tier 3 and 4 gold.
Looks like this got addressed in the new Guide:
Variation by Level: The Second Edition campaign grants each participating PC an amount of wealth based on that PC’s level, no matter the adventure’s tier or the subtier used. For example, a Tier 1–4 scenario would grant 52 gp for a 1st-level PC and 152 to a 3rd-level PC, whether they played Subtier 1–2 or 3–4.
On the downside, it looks like the 75gp I start with at Level 3 is drastically less than I would have acquired if I'd started at 1st.
Even starting at 2nd level gives you less gold than one adventure at 1st would have given you (35gp vs 156gp).

Thorax Toothlicker |

Purchased Combat Mentor for the group:
Combat Mentor (mentor, social)
Prerequisites Vigilant Seal Tier 1
Cost 2 Fame
While working with less experienced Pathfinder allies, you provide pointers and lead drills that ensure your newer colleagues’ attacks strike true. For any PCs benefiting from a Level Bump and whose levels are lower than yours, you increase the Level Bump’s modifier to attack rolls and spell attack rolls to 2.
Normal A Level Bump increases a PC’s attack roll and spell attack roll modifiers by 1.
Special A PC can only benefit from two mentor boons

I'm in!
Should hopefully have Thorax finished by tomorrow ^_^
With less than 45 minutes left of "tomorrow", this probably isn't happening. A lot of the fine-tuning I'd done during the Playtest doesn't translate well into the final edit.
Hopefully won't take too much longer.

I think I'm done with the build, assuming I didn't mess anything up. Hopefully the formatting makes sense.
I'd enjoy an introductory pre-Gameday quest to get used to the rules.

Adalan and Thorax, which of the three schools do you belong to, or are you field commissioned agents?

RePete: Profile mostly done. Feel free to point out mistakes I made. :-P

You didn't select a school, it is something new pathfinder 2 added. You get three school points to split among swords, scrolls and something else, you can put 1 point in each or focus 3 in one. Or you can make it easy and take field commissioned agent.

Adalan is a devoted student of the school of Spells.

Howdy all, I'll be updating name and profile in a bit but wanted to get this game onto my Campaign Tab so I'll sneak a ghost dot in there as well. I am not going to have him ready for the pre-game quest. The build is mostly done but it'll be a while before I can get it finished and formatted for PbP.
For the record, I'm playing a lvl 1 Goblin Barbarian. I'll fill out the requested character details once I've finalized my purchases. I will be ready for the start of Gameday.

![]() |

Oh, I clicked on the wrong link, I'm in Mysterious benefactors absalom initiation.
Can I still play in the Sandstone secret though?

Do we get our chronicles soon? Not sure if you planned on waiting till you completed both games, but I would still need mine before gameday, since I'm taking him in another game not run by you.
