As Nashaxian speaks, Adalan takes a sheet of paper from his backpack and levitates it down onto one of the flaming grates. Assuming it remains unburned, he wills it to float back into his hand and stows it in his pack.
He then replies to the devil. "While I do appreciate the information about Diggen's likely objectives, we would have no reason to deliver him to you even if he was with us. And I don't think we can allow you to retain that throne, so if you're unwilling to concede it I'm not sure we can resolve this peacefully."
Definitely not releasing that ghost before we're back at a lodge with the resources to destroy him, Adalan decides.

Adalan: Even if you 'destroy' a ghost, you know it will just rejuvenate at its point of origin, until the reason for its existence (in this case the contract) is resolved.
Nashaxian's eyes flash with anger.
"Then you can all DIE!"
As he says that, flames flash up from the grates!
