    Actually, if Thorax was level 3, you would still be high tier (albeit barely)...

    We have remarked on this before - but if you think about it, encounter design is based on the idea that a 'party' consists of 4 PCs - so when there are more than that, it bumps up the relative 'danger', to compensate.

    Back when we started, I thought the same thing. The language was imprecise and it seemed like you needed a "block" of 8 days.

    I asked Michael Sayre when I had the opportunity, and this was his reply:

    The time blocks are in "up to" 8 day units, with the caveat that once you start your Earn Income you've committed to the task for all of the available unit. So if all you have is 2 days, you can Earn Income for just those two days and then that activity ends; it doesn't carry your Earn Income check over to a new adventure.

    I've updated my header and profile with most of the lvl 4 changes (purchases are still sorta pending) so make sure to remember that I'm still lvl 3 when you do the chronicles for the quest. I don't want to accidentally get too much money. ;)

    I also want to reiterate how awesome it is to have a super fast posting group & gm that also manage to put in quite a bit of good RP and other entertaining things. Great work everyone.

    I also like the way we are playing together. With also different characters and way to act and speak. Of course, to fact that we have a group with people who post quickly and a GM who manages to make things moving forward is amazing.

    @Deshacerla: Theoretically, yes, but it died immediately prior to your next turn in initiative... and you were the one who rolled Deception to 'coerce' the Drake :-/

    @Bair: The closest possibility to a 'Legendary Negotiation'-style situation that I have been able to cook up, is Charm + Glad-Hand, but it will only really work against a solo boss.

    It seems like the requirement that Glad-Hand has to be used in "a casual or social situation" would exclude most pre-combat scenarios, but it definitely would be nice to have more options to avert conflict.

    It also doesn't help when the person who usually charges in recklessly to attract the enemy's attention goes after the enemies. Throws our whole *plan off. :(

    Does anyone know whether summoned creatures can be dispelled in 2E? The summoned trait says that they're banished if the spell that summoned them ends, but dispel magic specifies that it targets "spell effects" and I'm not totally sure a summoned creature would count.
