Dr. Craven's eyes alight with amusement at the sight of the red-dressed human woman. He gives a mocking bow as she sits in her chair. "Oh, Bash is not going to be happy to see you. Sorry lady, he's not a fan. So far just some phallic expressions and displays. It was inevitably soon leading to comparing. No appearance from the author of our letters."
The scarred man then turns to the others, gives a deeper bow and addresses, "I have the pleasure to present her ladyship, the Crimson Countess." He also gestures widely with his arms toward Jasmine.
Are you guys with the Sovereignty? Would we be aware of each other?

The Crimson Countess |

The Crimson Countess is of with the Sovereignty, and our characters would likely know of each other.
Dr Craven was written in as one of the people I know in my 10 minute background
Dr. Craven's Player and I are IRL friends as well
Voice my Pawns are from:
A rajah has no need to personally attend to mundane matters. At 2nd level, as a free action, the rajah can surround herself with a number of nearly-intangible servants equal to her rajah initiation modifier. These servants function as if they were created by the unseen servant spell, except that they have an effective Strength score equal to 4 + the rajah’s initiation modifier and they cannot take the aid another action. A servant who strays farther than close range (25 feet + 5 feet per two rajah levels) winks out, but can be recreated as a free action; these servants otherwise last indefinitely so long as they remain within that range and within the rajah’s line of effect. The rajah can also dismiss her servants as a free action.
Unlike normal unseen servants, a rajah’s servants have a unique appearance determined by the rajah, and can talk (although being mindless, they only say what they’re told to say). They remember orders and their appearances, even if dismissed and resummoned at a later time. The details vary from rajah to rajah, but the servants are always partially transparent and obviously not creatures. These unseen servants can cast prestidigitation an unlimited number of times per day as a spell-like ability, when directed to do so by the rajah. A rajah can also make her servants invisible (or return them to visibility) as a free action. Veils cannot be shaped onto unseen servants. Finally, unseen servants created through this class feature gain any additional movement modes that the rajah may have (such as a fly speed or swim speed) at the same speed as the rajah.
Should the rajah lose or acquire new movement modes, her unseen servants lose or gain these movement modes respectively.
So they have a partially transparent appearance and are fairly obviously magical constructs.

I'm working on the profiles of both Craven and Bash, as they have fairly different stat blocks.
As for the backstory, Craven came to the area a while back. He isn't from the area, but he is essentially from the area. He concocted the Philo stone and Bash went on a rampage. He was thus placed in the formidable cell to contain Bash.

Sir Morien, The Black Knight |
I'm still here, but my move is proving to be long-winded, as are the renovation projects that have imposed themselves as we return to our home after having rented it for over three years.
Long story short, I'll sit this first mission out... if it remains possible to explore the city a bit? I think that the campaign will make far more sense for me if I am tied into the local politics, somewhat!

Monkeygod |

Hey all, around 10pm est(today, July 10th), over on my Twitch channel I will doing an unboxing of my kickstarter copy of City of the 7 Seraphs.
I will also be doing a Q&A session with the main author/lead designer and owner of Lost Spheres Publishing Christen N Sowards.
So please, feel free to stop by and ask any questions! :)

The Crimson Countess |

Could you post the houserules in the Campaign Info thread? or somewhere else easy to access, such as a tab on the discord?
Also I will be out of town Monday (July 15th) through Thursday (July 18th) with no idea about internet availability (I assume there will not be access)

What exactly is the major plan. Is my team going in first, then the Countess's team? I suppose with the knowledge my team provides, it shouldn't be too difficult for her group to establish themselves as the ultimate team, as they would have prior knowledge on any traps in the area.

gyrfalcon |

Hi! For anyone who hasn't heard, Monkeygod has offered me a chance to take the Countess's role. I'm looking forward to joining yall (and have been around a bit on Discord recently).
I'm building a Skald / Fighter / Zealot (Void Prophet). He's tapped into the Song of the Void--the Infinite Nothingness that is All There Is--and he loves to rock out about it. Think of him as David Bowie crossed with a demigod (if that isn't superfluous). Mechanically, he's ace at everything social, has a lot of buffing options, and some significant control/melee options too.
A couple Qs:
1. I believe we're only taking BAB/Saves/Skill Pts from one of our three classes--so I will pick Skald, Zealot, or Fighter as my 'main class' and get my BAB, good/bad saves, and skill points from that class only. Is that correct?
2. In terms of Bench Press--As I've built him, when I'm performing a Raging Song, I'll give +6 Morale bonus to STR & CON, +6 Enhance bonus to DEX, +5 Morale to WILL, Fast Healing 6, and -1 to AC.
And if folks have Amplified Rage Teamwork feat--which I can frequently share--the STR, CON, and Fast Heal grow by another +4 (to +10) when you're adjacent to someone else with the feat. Let me know if that's more of a boost to the party than we want. If I drop Master & Grand Master Performer feats, all of those bonuses will be 2 less.
Cheers,

Iko Ilue |

Hey gang, as mentioned before, Monkeygod has invited me (gyrfalcon) to join with face character...and I'm excited to introduce Iko Ilue, a charismatic (and somewhat solipsistic) musician/rock star, who has followed his whims (and sense of entitlement) into trouble a few too many times. His casting will all be via songs, and he'll almost always have a bardic performance up (plus some Spheres buffs that'll be attached to his performance).
Crunch is in this profile (and at the top is a "Advancement / choices" spoiler)
There's a bit more detail (e.g. calculations for saves, init) in this doc if you're curious.
Here's his gear so far.
Crunch Qs
1. Monkeygod has already given him a look over and approved, but if you see mistakes or concerns (too high/low vs benchpress, etc) give a shout.
2. I still have 50K to spend (plus needing to settle on an artifact). Suggestions welcome for either!!
Story Qs
I've been focusing on building my character, but I could now use a summary of what's going on and what I should (or shouldn't) know.
...
Feel free to answer here or on Discord (where I'm often on as gyrfalcon)

So in very fun and scary and exciting news, my wife just had a baby (our first) and we'll be bringing him home today or tomorrow hopefully.
I'm not planning on dropping any games as I'll be off work for the next month (is this hubris? Maybe!) but if it's not too much trouble, please feel free to bot me as needed in the immediate future. Thanks!

Iko Ilue |

Lehkazeran, I hope parenting is going well for you! My daughter is seven now, and it's been a wild but splendid journey.
You'll find my latest crunch, appearance, and background in my profile.
Who exactly is at the tavern right now? Is the "get hired" crew still Sio Tonti, Dr. Craven, Animoira, and Rattlebones (plus Iko Ilue, taking the place of the Countess)?

Hey everyone! I will be running Passing the Torch 1 & 2 as well as Siege of Gallowspire and Fate of the Scoured God over the next 2 days. As such it is incredibly unlikely that I will be able to post. Thanks for your understanding.
