"A good Christian burial has never done anyone harm. I am not as proficient in the rites as a priest, but my knowledge is serviceable." Alphonse says, a strong note of approval in his voice at his companions' initiative and concern for these peoples' immortal souls.

There is still the third tunnel branching off the junction at this depth/level (from which could be heard groans and screams of torture), or you can continue down the spiral stairs descending the central shaft and find deeper tunnels.

The tunnel reverberating with screams of anguish leads into a cavern where a single plinth of stony stalagmite towers over a pool of sticky, noxious green goo...
The screams of torture and anguish seem to emanate from the central stony monolith, which seems somehow animate, with ropy branches beginning to luquidly extend from its trunk, dripping into extension like feelers searching the environment...

"This is very strange," says the Fox as he prepares to slice the end off a ropy branch with Barakuda if it reaches too close.
A huge eye, with red iris on yellow eyeball, splits open on the trunk of the tree-like monolith, and below the terrible eye, a gaping mouth filled with serrated teeth gapes, drooling, as it mimics the tortured screams of anguish uttered by its past victims in their final moments...
The ropey tendrils begin to writhe and lash about!
M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6
The party begins the encounter at the entrance to a large cave with a sticky, green, nasty-smelling floor. The cavern is roughly 80 feet by 60 feet, with a 40 foot high ceiling. The roper stands at the center of the sticky, gooey green floor, about 30 feet from where the party is gathered in a twenty-foot-diameter tunnel leading into the cavern.

6 Strength damage reduces my 14 Strength to an effective 8. That reduces the damage on each of my unarmed strikes by 3, but my attack mod is the same because I use Weapon Finesse.

So, regarding keeping two calendars for this campaign for the last 7 months and bringing the two groups together on the afternoon of Thursday, 18 January... It just organically happened that table 1 finally caught up with table 2 in the timeline on this particular day, as fate would dictate. Both parties also reached 7th level by this point, with roughly the same XP (I will adjust XP so that all characters start Act 2 with the same XP for simplicity). I figured that now was a prime opportunity that might not come again soon to make the crossover happen.
Thank you to all who have participated and RPed like bosses these past 7 months. I'm looking forward to rewarding your commitment to this saga with an even more fun, wild, challenging Act 2!

I should be fully leveled now. A couple questions though...
1) do I get some kind of crown or something? It seems like the former Emir wore a turban with that huge gem that apparently we need to give to someone/something- should I just wear that with one of the other jewels we found slapped on it?
2) how do people feel about me being large sized pretty much all of the time?
3) how long is Quinlan going to be physically with us, and could he make me an enlarge person item real quick before we lose him? For a continuous enlarge person, or (even better) one I can spend an action to turn on or off, it should cost him 2k to make and the DC should be low enough for him to quick craft it in one day...

Once we have a satisfactory conclusion for table 2, which I envision as the party concluding their business in establishing the new emirate of Marrakech and riding west to Safi (3 days ride through desert), discovering that Prince Henry of Portugal has occupied the port with half the Portuguese fleet, and set sail for Rome aboard the Alanqilis, we will begin the gameplay narrative at this table...
M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6
ACT 2 will begin aboard the Alanqilis, crossing the Atlantic and sailing into the Mediterranean Sea to Italy...
Here there be monsters of the briny deep! Prehistoric horrors such as plesiosaurs, sea serpents, giant squids, giant sharks, killer whales, seductive sirens... The dangers of the sea are many, and so are its mysteries... Ancient sunken cities such as Atlantis and Mu... Strange lights seen by sailors in the sky and in the depths... Merfolk and sahuagin cities... Sunken treasure ships of ancient Rome, Phoenicia, Mycenae, and Persia...
M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6
Everyone, feel free to start posting in gameplay on this table, introducing yourselves at the dock at Safi...
M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6
Storm Dragon, go ahead and post as Habiba on gameplay on table 2, as she is from an Arab state, so might as well make it Morocco and get her into the party right away...
The party has just killed Emir Al'Haaq of Marrakech, who was actually a rakshasa disguised as a man. This evil rakshasa/emir was also the master of the infamous Arena of Death, where condemned criminals and slave gladiators fought to the death against each other or fierce monsters from throughout the known world...
Habiba might have been one of the Emir's slaves, or she might just be in Marrakech at this moment...

The magic of ioun stones allows for underwater orbit. So yes, Algoral can provide a pale glow of light equal to torchlight underwater... As for the wings, yes, though they do seem to help in swimming somewhat (swim speed equal to half your fly speed)... Take note, Lord Perpireen: your wings are also soaked and will need to dry out for 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 hours before they can be used to fly again through air, but underwater, you have a swim speed equal to half your fly speed. No need for either fey to hang onto Johann.

Melee attacks under water suffer a penalty to attack and damage in most cases, unless you have a swim speed and are using a piercing attack, or have freedom of movement, such as that granted to Crabpincer's wielder...
Ranged attacks suffer a more extreme range penalty due to water displacement. See the rules for aquatic terrain and underwater combat from the Core Rulebook.
