I would love it. They are Amnist, and I think it would be awesome, as I am in tune with the spirit world.

Awesome! Can we rest for the night, and the next morning Rabbi take us for a trip? We would need to look up a map of Japan in the library!
(I'm saying all this stuff but Johann can't do squat. :) )

Michael Johnson 66 |

Sorry for the flood of posts describing the Pyramid, but I'm sure you can see the logic in getting the tour out of the way before we proceed to even resting for the night. Now you know the best places to rest for the night are in the comfy beds of the cabins, and where to research your next adventures (library), etc.

Developing Hana-no Gosho (Flower Palace), stronghold of Ashikaga Shogunate on Muromachi Street in Kyoto City, to include the haunted Ghost Tower of Flower Palace, where the evil Shogun imprisons hated enemies...
This will be the site of your quest to rescue Fox...
The Shogun just might be more than he appears to be (remember the former Emir of Marrakech, who was a rakshasa in disguise? The heathen orient is full of evil spirits masquerading as mortal rulers...), and his minions include not only corrupt human samurai, ninja, and shugenja, but also evil spirits--oni, fallen kami, kappa, bakemono goblins, goblin spiders, ogre spiders, fox women, etc...

I am sorry to report that we have lost our good Cardinal Lucius, as the campaign appears to be going in a direction that doesn't suit the character or his player, Niko. I can certainly understand his discomfort with the Black Pyramid. Honestly, a less experienced GM giving less experienced players such a potent artifact could easily break the game. But I trust you all to use the artifact responsibly and heroically to enrich rather than selfishly and irresponsible to wreck the game; and I trust myself enough to pull the plug on it as soon as anyone proves otherwise before I'll let it break the game.
Cardinal Lucius D'Borja will be missed, not only for his healing (which I feel the party can pick up the slack using wands for), but for his noble wisdom, decisive leadership, and fatherly company.

I am sad by his decision. I think it is an over reaction, and he refused to even engage in any arguments that could have changed his mind. I am happy that he left in a way that keeps Johann's integrity intact.
On an unrelated note, I add in an extra tab on the loot spreadsheet if people want to record their equipment there. I am generally much happier putting my equipment in a spreadsheet than in my alias/profile.

For Oscar-worthy RP, defeating foes in Atlantis, and recovery of two artifacts (a fragment of the Mirror of the Multiverse and the Black Pyramid of Kronos), I am awarding the rest of the XP needed to advance to 9th level!
All Pcs now have a total of 50,000 XP!
Level up to 9th level before the next adventure...

Michael Johnson 66 |

As we knew back in March that we would, we've lost a lot of good players to RL attrition or waning interest. It was inevitable. But we still have at least four of the original characters from day 1, two from each table:
Hail to Johann, Lord Perpireen, Mwikali and Zagathoth! You have risen from level 1 characters on the road outside Rome or on the Portuguese caravel to Morocco to the 9th level heroes you are now, and have gained some new friends in the Rabbi, Ihrin, Algoral, and Habiba Al-Sahim.
I am grateful to you four who've stayed the course these past 8 months, and to you who've taken up our quest to help us continue our epic saga. Thank you all! If you stay with me, I promise an enchanting and thrilling tale that you'll not soon forget.

Mwikali |

Also can I do some crafting, like make a few wands of Curing and Stuff.
Also I figured Mwikali would if the SHip doesn't have the clothes, make period-appropriate clothing for the group based in that period of time for Japan

![]() |

so Ihrin, are you learning Japanese for level 9 then? :)
Not too much for Johann at level 9 (8 shifter). Leadership feat; bears claw go from d6 to d8; +1 AC. That's about it really.

Mwikali |

I have to figure how many spells I can cast, and the long arduous pain of teaching Kiku and then making some wands and then at least the witches corset

Michael Johnson 66 |

So, it sounds like the plan is to use the Black Pyramid of Kronos to travel to Kyoto a couple weeks before Fox is teleported there in order to assimilate into society and not appear to be specifically there to rescue Fox, is that correct?
If so, what day do you travel to?
It is currently Monday morning, 22nd January...

Mwikali |

Hmmm Loyalty....LOL
Gonna Do if I can Wand of Fireball,Wand of Lightingbolt, Wand or Cure MOderate and Wand of Cure Serious all at 9th level cater

Is there any chance the library contains the instructions for an Occult Ritual such as these or clues as to where such knowledge might be found?
I have no particular ones in mind, they're just a neat subsystem of the Occult casting that has some applications that could prove interesting.

Very Cool! I just bought myself a copy of Occult Adventures, but haven't had much chance to study it yet, as I lent it to my buddy Ray right away. I like the idea of Occult ritual spells. It sounds like what would definitely be found in such grimoires as Necronomocon, The Book of Dyzan, or Monsters and Their Kinde... occult books out of H. P. Lovecraft's works...
The library almost certainly has one or more such forbidden tomes recorded on crystals...

Campaign setting note:
The ancient Assyrian Empire was for a time ruled by the famous dark elf sorceress, Queen Semiramis, known for her great magical powers, perversions, and debaucheries...
The ancient Hittites of Fairytale Earth were a prominent and bloodthirsty tribe of hobgoblin raiders. At one point in time (shortly before their disappearance from history--scattered by Queen Semiramis' Assyrian army), the Hittites were ruled by the savage warlord Zarzakor the Destroyer...

Mwikali |

I really should have some stuff done, fighting some Dark Elf Sorceress and Turks shouldn't interrupt my work too much.

Ihrin Ardlean Dracul |

Also I am gonna love this if I can kill the leader of the Turks and take it to My Brother then well... Show it to the Horde The Arabs may leave Wallachia!

Ihrin Ardlean Dracul |

I just thought too that This Pyramid could mess Ihrin up if she investigates her sigils and her Past!!!

GM_Panic |

Just the corset, and just in time before the Rabbi drops everyone in Japan and teleports away...
Then if there was time to make the corset, Lord P had time to make the item that would make him a techomancer with the grey, Hell He just took a level on it, and I want to explain IN GAME how he become one. BUT that has been taken away now!!
OK I am REALLY Annoyed!!!
I do NOT like my PC being Railed roaded by another player, Not mid action.
Right now this really feels PvP.
In fact I am so angry I can't even post. I need time to cool down.
EDIT: I'm going to finish my action with the Grey, I'm sorry but your not the only one who had plans.

Alexei Orlovsky |

I'm sorry that you're upset... I (and the pyramid) will be back.
Also, if we're going to talk about not waiting for other people to act, how about we address the fact that while everyone else was leveling and getting their heads around the pyramid you apparently had enough time to sneak in to the library while we were asleep (even though we seemed to clearly be in the same day), study the future enough to take a level in technologist, and craft some kind of tablet or whatever the item you said you made was?
If this were PVP, (which I didn't think it was), then I would say that a fair assessment of its starting point would be the moment that you decided to do that exact opposite of what the team consensus seemed to be.
Finally, I don't want to ruin any surprises but the thing I've been working on off-camera with MJ is a plan for us to move forward in a way that caters to what you (and pretty much you alone) obviously want to do. Because, honestly, the most realistic reaction for my character when you started going future-wild would have been to drop you off alone in the future and then talk with the rest of the PCs about whether or not we could actually use the pyramid responsibly, but I really didn't want to do that to another player.
edit: I’m sorry, too, if this comes across as gruff... I am (obviously) also annoyed with the situation

GM_Panic |

OK I see where this is coming from now. Because my PC did not do as you decreed, this is your response.
My problem here is IF you where really representing some kind of player 'consensuses' and really I can't see one reading over the posts. You would have talked about what you had planned openly with us players. But the way you did it none of us had a chance to dissuade you. Unlike when Lord P want to open the cells. Where he gave to DC change to hear what he had planned, asked another player for help who could have stopped him. But what you did was go to the GM behind our backs and worked out a plan to get your agenda 'forced' onto us.
THAT is I have a problem with.
Its coming over as if your saying, YOU want my PC NOT to have taken a level in that Technomance. And this is what I am seeing.
1:You took it upon yourself to set the agenda of what we can and cant' do in and with the Black Pyramid.
2:Then you took the Black Pyramid away form the party because that agenda as not followed.
My problem is now, my PC has a class that has NO explanation of why he has it.
So I will not be posting what my PC will do in Japan, until I post his actions in the Black Pyramid related to how he got to be a technomance.

![]() |

I am largely neutral on this, being more confused than anything else...
I would argue to make things fair, the PCs should be allowed to do their crafting they wanted to do. We CAN'T be teleported out of the Pyramid without consent because that would require people gathering around Alexei and wanting to be teleported. We CAN be teleported between times without consent because Alexei controls the pyramid.
Though if Alexei does that too much, perhaps the party will be done with him. I think the power of the pyramid is going to his head too much. He thinks he has full control of us. He teleports us without consent. Secret plans made with GM.
Okay, actually now that I typed this out, I can see this whole thing was done very very poorly and Alexei should not have done this and MJ should not have allowed it. No offense, Alexei. I will always love Zag.

Michael Johnson 66 |

Well, I'm glad you guys are communicating more openly with one another about this issue.
I feel partly responsible for throwing such a powerful artifact into play. It has had the effect my NPC version of the Devil intended, I will say that lol... but I didn't want it to come to PVP. I should have thought more carefully about the potential for interparty conflict caused by the Black Pyramid.
I apologize for possibly unintentionally pitting Lord Perpireen against the Rabbi by giving the party this artifact, and I hate to see it cause hard feelings between players.
Both of you are great RPers putting passion and energy into playing your PCs, which I would never try to quell for the sake of forcing an unnatural unity. The story we are creating together would suffer from this heavy handed rail roading by me as GM. Far better for your PCs to disagree and argue, creating tension and a realistic narrative.
But that said, I would hate for this to shut us down after how far we have come and the time we've all invested in this campaign. I hope The Rabbi and Lord Perpireen can come to terms and continue to adventure together, and for it to be fun and not strained... But that is out of my hands as a fair and impartial GM. I won't force you two to get along. I just hope you will both be able to forgive any perceived faux pas and get on with having fun together.

Michael Johnson 66 |

I will allow Lord P to have crafted the prerequisites for his build before the Rabbi drops everyone off to go and meditate on and fully come to understand the capabilities of the Black Pyramid, as I don't want Johnny Panic to feel hindered in building the PC he wants to play.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

I am fine with the Rabbi's actions, as they seem true to the PC.
But that being said, I just want time to explain who lord P got to be a technomancer.
