Great live session, Ben! Full of character development and RP. It was hard for me to emote in 2-3 word phrases.lol
As far as everyone's questions about why a little girl was in a slave fighting pit (valid questioning, btw), I imagined that the fighting pit owner's and the crowd's depravity kept worsening and worsening to the point where only child endangerment/sacrifice would please their twisted sense of entertainment. For Turngut, he initially just didn't care about his own survival as he battled more and more fierce creatures. Maybe even enjoyed the accolades from the crowds and when faced with the child, he went into auto-mode until the unthinkable deed was done and then something snapped in his brain and he ran away at the first chance that he had.
Looking forward to the next session!

Makes sense, love Turngut. You play him very well. I Just finished Age of Iron and it reminded me of a scene there where the main character was forced to fight innocent villagers in a coliseum. If she refused to kill them, they were tortured in front of her.
Are we continuing the pbp until the next live session?

Here is just a brief recap of the event from Saturday. The group awoke from their Trial and found themselves back in the Sun Temple of Ark were roughly two and half days had past. The Grandmaster of the Holy Order Tealor Arantheal informed the group that their commencement would occur in two days. He also told the group that they would be the last to go through the old trial as it has become far to dangerous for novices to attempt. Jorek Bartarr gave his heartfelt thank you to the group for saving his son Micolash Bartarr.
The group then went to a party were they saw many familiar friends. Jespar, Pearson, MacGuire, Thraduik and several more people. At the party the group received several gifts from the attendees as well as people who could not make it. People like Lishari Peghast, Jorek Bartarr, and Belis Ormaris could not attend as many assassination attempts in the city have led to a lock-down of sorts fro prominent people.
The groups party was interrupted by a man calling himself Helgard von Eberich. He stated that Turngut killed his daughter and challenged him and his companions to a duel at the von Eberich manor. The group arrived at the run down manor and squared off against Helgard in the rain. The battle was tough with the skilled von Eberich nearly bringing an end to Turngut.
However the group persevered and seemingly killed von Eberich. But suddenly the red haired man cracked his broken neck back into place as if nothing had even happened, Helgard is immortal.
He then shared his tragic tale with the party. His family were once a prominent noble family of Enderal but had fallen on hard times. This heavily affected Helgard as he was pledged to marry a noblewoman from Nehrim. But as he had no money the father of Heglard's betrothed denied the marriage. Helgard to turned to drinking and one night in a pub while talking to a complete stranger wished for "Riches and Immortality".
The wish was granted by the mysterious figure known as Master Mirror . Helgard awoke to tremendous wealth and found that he could not be killed. With his riches restored he was able to marry to noblewoman and together they had a daughter named Anna. However there was side effect, Helgard's heart turned to stone. He felt no emotion and as such he neglected his wife and daughter to the point were they departed for Nehrim.
On arrival the both Helgard's father and law and his wife were killed with poor little Anna alone wandering the streets. She would be abducted and thrown into the fighting pits were she would be killed by Turngut Ulgratch.
Helgard then pleaded for the groups help to free him from the curse that Master Mirror had given him. If not for Helgard to free his daughter, maybe then Turngut would find peace. Turngut agreed and the group went to their only lead on Master Mirror, a nondescript mirror shop in the Old Town.
Upon arrival they did not find master mirror but merely an employee who worked there. She stated that Master Mirror had given her a note to give to the group that read "At the crossroad where hills tower, A branch that leads three, To forest who speak, To gazers of smoke, To the place where mist makes its home." The group determined that this riddle could possibly mean Tallfield.
But before going there to investigate the group went through their commencement and became official members of the Holy Order of Malphas.
So I'm back to work and for the time being am working full time to get the church prepared for when we come back hopefully soon. I'm still behind on writing the next chapter so I'd say lets put a pause on the PBP for the time being. We are really at a tricky point where I don't want to do what happens next over post because its very key story stuff for Turnybutt.

This is just a heads up everyone! Recently I found an awesome tool for D&D/Pathfinder called World Anvil. It is amazingly helpful for organizing NPC's, timelines, really everything! So I will let you guys know when I've transferred everything there.

Hey everyone just a reminder to level up your character to level eight if you haven't already.
We will also be transitioning over to World Anvil for the NPC Reference and the plot summaries. We will still be using this forum for the actual game though.
You do need to make an account on World Anvil but it is free. Then you will need to make your character on World Anvil. You don't have to input all of your stats you just need to put your characters name, a brief description of them, and a portrait of your character. After you've done that click on the link in the spoiler below and you should automatically join the world. Let me know if you have any trouble.
