General Notes:
I try to post every day to keep things moving, and if you can keep a similar pace, that would be great. We all have real life interruptions of course, so if you can't post and we're in the middle of something like a combat, please give me bot instructions or I'll assume your PC does Total Defense.
Please place a good array of information in your character header. Knowing your PC's EAC/KAC, Perception mod, Initiative mod, etc., saves me a lot of time when doing posts. If you need help figuring out how to format that, we can help you. Important: I don't keep track of your character's stamina, hit points, resolve points, or daily resources. You need to do this yourself and update your tagline as the game goes on.
If you want to earn extra GM love and you're not playing a pre-gen, posting a full character sheet in your profile is great. That way I can look stuff up and answer my own "how did they do that?" questions. Related, if you have some crazy weird or complicated build and want to explain anything, here's a good place.
You'll need a picture of your character for the grid scenes.
If you're new to Starfinder, Starfinder Society, or play-by-post, welcome! I'm always happy to help, and please don't be embarrassed if you have any questions.
Finally, role-playing is good! Please give your PC some personality and engage with the other PCs and NPCs. I'll gently move us along if we're dwelling too much in one part of the scenario.
Any questions, ask away!

Does Blinky's tea feature Eucalyptus leaves? Is Chorizal about to experience a major medical crisis?
| EbonFist |
So...it's not enough that almost all living things around you are inimical to human life. You guys throw in the chance of seriously scalding half your body just to make tea?
Kosigan

I will be traveling with no access to the boards until Tuesday. Please bot Kosigan as necessary. Change array to whatever weapon seems most appropriate and attack once or twice usually works for it. Remember it has no perception beyond 60 feet and unusual senses within that range.

Friends, we are now on the Shadow Plane. Please RP appropriately, and apply the following planar traits:
• Light: Bizarre dim illumination covers the Shadow Plane, its source never apparent and always unstable, creating shadows everywhere. Even space seems to have no stars. The range of any light source is halved.
• Magic: Shadow effects are enhanced on the Shadow Plane: when a shadow spell is cast, treat the CL as 2 higher. Conversely, spells that use or generate light or fire are impeded with the Shadow Plane, and the caster must succeed on a caster level check (DC = 20+spell level) to do it successfully.
In addition, we are now in the interior of a ship. the interior of the ship is comprised mainly of black metal, with intermittent blue lights along the bottom of the walls that cast dim light (so only those with low-light vision or Darkvision see normally within the listed range) across steel grated walkways; occasional glass panels interrupt the black walls, coming to life with a touch and illuminating a brilliant display of technological controls. The ceilings are 10’ high. The ship is eerily silent, but floor panels and door hinges creak and squeak to betray you with every step, giving you a -4 on all Stealth checks on the starship.

So, act like I can't see anything? Got it. ;)

I will be traveling from August 7 - 13 and will have limited access to the boards. I will try to keep up but bot Kosigan if necessary. Its attack options are pretty well documented on its profile - just pick whichever will do the most damage based on its current knowledge of the enemy.
Twich

I will be traveling this weekend and probably unable to post. Please bot me as needed. The use of spells or consumables is fine if it seems like a good idea.
Since Twich is interacting with a puzzle, it's fine if it needs to be one of the other players who does the botting.

I'm pretty sure the others are right, but I really debated between the gas mask and air vent.

Folks, this is the talking/role-playing part of the scenario :) If your PCs aren't feeling chatty though, I can advance things.
To think we might have missed having a 'debate' with a shitposter.

Cool - noted! I'll keep an eye out :)

I knew about the outage but hadn't seen the part about setting up a new password. Thanks for pointing it out.
Here's hoping it really is just down 3 days or less.
But I still have to figure out how to goof off at work without the Paizo forums.

I'm not sure why infamy is even being discussed here for anyone. I did not see a 'wantonly evil or callously cruel'act, and you can't by the rules issue infamy if you did not warn the player when they first stated their intention to perform such an action.

Awww Blinky saved who he could - but they were playing rough so he played rough back... their traps weren't non-lethal.
I see the principle though :)
Day job - Archaeologist 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24
Kosigan

You could just hand out merciful fusion seals if you don't want us killing anyone. Unless they were banking on beating us because of the -4 to attack nonlethally?
Though Kosigan might have difficulty even with those, because of its reliance on the gear array.
Day Job: Profession (Cook): 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25

They did hand out merciful infusions. At the beginning of the fight. They were laying on the table and everyone was invited to take and install one. Which Chorizal did.
Kosigan

Huh. Missed that. Still not sure how to install one on a gear array, though.

The problem for Blinky, though, is that Merciful fusions don't work on natural attacks; they have to be added to weapons. For him to take a seal means his damage output would have dropped pretty significantly as he used a knife or the like.
I just gambled on being able to apply first-aid and stabilise each foe as they fell, two were checked and stabilised (med patch on one and a stabilise on the other), one fell through the cracks and died pretty fast before they could be saved - they could have also surrendered rather than fight to the death.
With that said, they were still stacking the deck by having us walk in with conditions already in effect from their traps - the cheats :p

Ok, session is reported and I'll have the Chronicles to you tomorrow. There was an "Achievement Points" tracker that you didn't meet as a group for the Secondary Success Condition or individually for one of the boons, but you did earn all credits, items, another boon, and a bonus faction Reputation.
• Check Box A
• Completed Primary Success Condition and Faction Success Condition (but not Secondary Success Condition)
• All receive Data Stalker Boon
• None receive Laoite Training Boon
• Credits: Blinky (Subtier 9-10), Kosigan (Subtier 9-10), Chorizal (Out of Subtier), Twich (Subtier 9-10)
• All items earned.

Thank you for running that :)
Its a rough scenario - but stacks of fun - and well run!

I kind of figured we didn't accomplish everything we needed to. Though as someone with built-in weapons, I'd rather have the boon than full cash. ;)

It felt very old school with some hard traps and gotchas, but it was a nice change to play in that sort of scenario rather than some of the more direct ones.
Although, Chorizal did not enjoy it nearly as much as I did and I wouldn't want to play another one with the same tone right away.

Ok, Chronicles are available
here. Any issues, just let me know and I'll fix them up. Thanks for playing!

Chronicle looks good.
Thanks for a great game, everyone, especially Jhaeman for running.
