Technic Siege and Heresy of Man are both 5-9, so we can play tier 8-9 with the 4-player adjust... followed by tier 8-9 without the adjustment, provided Chris B agrees. Could be brown trousers time.

Alternatively, we split the drongos and play a 3-7, or find a 5-9 from season 4+ so we get the 4-player adjustment.

Okay, fellow madmen, dot in here if you please:

Just use your main alias (unless you have a character all ready to go) and I will make it inactive when everyone who will play has dotted in, to be reactivated on September 19!

Miro keeps a spare change of his colorful trousers in his pack, so no worries on my part. A relatively high AC and enemies' focus on the heavy hitters seems to keep the worst heat off Miro.

So Jyri Technic and Heresy II, me Hersey I & III. We also have Pathfinder Society Scenario #7–04: The Ironbound Schism witch comes out next week, but Miro isn't ready.

Are we going to wait for the 19 (one month) to kick these off?

We can finish one off in under a month... but I think our games are getting slow lately due to some player (and GM) overload factors.

That said, I'm all for starting now if Jyri is ready and willing to run. I'm just not sure I'd recommend it...

Male Human Engineer/4 (ding!)

If the plan is to squeeze as many as we can into the PbP gameday, then I would say yes. And that might give us more time to clean up some of these games that are already nearing their end. I think Jack is drowning in games... Someone get that guy an energy drink! Stat!

Disclaimer: Miro needs 2 xp to get to 7... Heresy 1 and Slave Master's Mirror/Technic Seige would put him where he needs to be.

So I propose: (and feel free to alter, suggest something different)

-Technic Seige
-Slave Master's Mirror (so we can still do it with Drongos)
-Heresy I
-Heresy II
-Heresy III
-The Ironbound Schism

Gameday is 13 weeks long - So unless we kill one of the scenarios, we will likely get 4 scenarios in. We don't need to do Slave Master's Mirror if the group would rather leave that one out, but I would still like to put it on the list for one of our alternate groups if that is the case.

Slave master's mirror is 3-7, so Lort can't play, but Haafiz can. I though Cyrus was 8, too. Maybe Pooka will be free then.

Yea, that is why I put it second on the list, assuming everyone is ok with doing that one. It is a liberty's edge storyline scenario, so I would really like to play it with Pooka anyways. I would have deferred to Cyrus for the simple sake of continuity from slave ships, but as you mentioned, he has leveled past it.

I figure if we do technic seige first, that will give John plenty of time to finish up wardstone patrol and the haunting as well. (which means pooka will be free and available)

Edit: I also believe that Jack had mentioned running that for us... so it would give him time to trim down his current GM load.

Ooh, you could always "skin" Pooka as Cyrus. It would stretch the mind (especially when he mounts Luna) but if crazy Iron Man can do what he does... a Pooka-skinned Cyrus would be kinda cool from a continuity and roleplay perspective.

Ooh, Haafiz is a Barbarian / Inquisitor! Not even that much of a stretch to get a Lort Skin!

The "Current and Pending" tab of the scenario planner has been updated with the above - if there is a better way to organize that please feel free to change it, or let me know and I will be happy to.

Also - please speak up if you have any concerns/thoughts/ideas on if it should be different!

Looks great, mate! I especially love the group tag for those playing siege of serpents. ;-)

Also, changed the lineup for me a little. I'll be playing Lort for the technic siege (since it's 5-9) - going slow track for a bit (probably slow with Haafiz, too).

I've also added in the level my characters will be after each of those scenarios to help with getting everyone into shape. I'll leave you guys to do your own characters, but if you like, let me know what level (and XP) you currently are and if you're open to slow track and I can do my best to sort it out.

I'll also grey out any scenario entry where I'm expecting to be taking a slow track character sheet.

Liberty's Edge

Hi guys, I've been really busy today :(

I hope I can take a look into the game threads later today, but I apologize if I cannot. Feel free to make necessary bots if you need to get the games running.

So Gunari, Lort and Cyrus are level 8, Finarin is at 19 XP, but I am playing Serpents Rise (Currently and not doing well) and was going to apply the chronicle to him along with Haunting. That would make him 8th level unless I slow track - which I have no problem doing unless I need to go regular track.

I am going to register Heresy I & III for PBP. Can I sign up to run The Ironbound Schism even though it gets released after the deadline to sign up, August 23rd for Gameday?

Slow track if you want to play Finarin in Slave Master's mirror (or don't apply the Haunting chronicle to him). Then, I'd say go normal track until you catch up with Lort & Cyrus, and then slow down if necessary.

Hey guys, still need Acre, -Karma- and TheBobJones to dot in here.

PbP GameDay 4: Baby Damo's First Steps

As soon as that's done, I'll mark it as inactive until we find some time to start. I don't even have to begin on September 19, and I promise to take a much slower pace than in my other games.

Male Human Engineer/4 (ding!)

Hey guys - Just wanted to let you know that Chris L. has had some big things come up in RL, which has kept him away from... well.. everything. :) I didn't tell him I was posting this, but I didn't want you to worry, or wait for him because I know he wouldn't want you to wait for him.

I'll text him and clarify if he will be able to get on the boards today, and fill him in on what is going on in game and get a "bot" action from him where he needs it (mostly RoW) if he isn't going to be able to post today.

The good news is, the reason why is not bad news, for what I know of it. Just crazy busy.

Thanks for letting us know, Steve. Chris, hope to see you posting again soon but please don't stress about it. Real life happens to us all. I would want you to be comparing yourself to some idiot who was still posting after a funeral while traveling back from Australia with pneumonia. Someone like that clearly doesn't have his priorities in order.

So, I just learned that Siege of Serpents is not starting until something like Nov 9 -- so there will be a little time. So, I think I will run Serpents Rise as well -- so that anyone who hasn't played, can.

I am going to go ahead and create those (hopefully) tonight...

Also, please let me know if my recruitment blurb sounds ok.

Signed up for Heresy 1 & 3 plus The Ironbound Schism. Will post threads in the weeks to come. Now, lets get back to some haunting!

Liberty's Edge

I registered Technic Siege and Heresy II for Pbp gameday, although I started to wonder if we really have time to play all those games. Those are all games for Drongos, right?

5 games from September 19th, 2015 through December 20th, 2015 seems doable. Haunting has been slowed, I think, by the newness of the pregens, but once you are back into your accustomed saddle, things will pick up.

Click here for help with recruitment! Feel free to give the thread a quick me to, too, if you like. The advice is still valid. :-)

5 games is stretching it at our current pace, but better to register and not complete than to not register and miss out on a chance for boons. ;-)

Also, since it is soon to be disabled, from my game...

Silbeg wrote:
The question... brand new characters, or are GM credits ok. I'd probably rather play with some GM credits, though I'll have to see if any characters that I have still at level 1 don't have The Confirmation. (otherwise, I sit that scenario out, which is ok).

Brand new characters. Mostly because we're aiming to only play these guys together on PbP together and mostly to play the lower tiers when the Drongos can't. You could get around that with slow advancement on your credit babies, but I don't see the point in that. Also, for RP purposes, this is supposed to be the start of their career!

Character niches for new toon?

I have a Gnome evoker, a SAD Paladin, or I can come up with something else.

I may try to resurrect at dwarven stonelord paladin concept I was playing in a previous game...

I had another idea for a hunter concept where I made the primary focus/point of view come from the pet - something I am pretty sure I could only pull off in play by post, if I could pull it off at all. The mechanics would be the same, the story would just come from the pets eyes, not the human.... Sounds fun just for the challenge of it

I think if PFS has taught us one thing, it's that if you have at least one ranged combatant and either someone with CLW on their list or UMD, party balance can be damned. Play what you like!

Bugdip won't be very useful until level 4-5, but I am so looking forward to playing with him from a roleplaying perspective. I especially excited about his obsession with Finarin.

I personally like the idea of a SAD paladin, so long as your A is Cha, but I really like the sound of a gnome evoker. Sure, he'll be a one trick pony at 1st level (magic missile, right?), but as he goes up, he'll be more and more awesome.

Also, having just watched 101 Dalmations (the original 60s cartoon) with my kids yesterday, I can totally see how the pet point of view idea would work, Steve. Go for it! Oh, and the naive Bugdip would totally be comfortable interacting primarily with your pet instead of your PC, too.

Thanks, Damien! It was a really tough week, but hopefully it gets a little easier.

I also wanted to apologize to everyone for my lack of posting this past week, everything going on in real life really hit hard and kept me busy almost every night. I'll try my best to do better this week. Sorry again everyone.

This is a superb point of reference... I loved that cartoon by the way...

An idea may be forming....

Don't worry, life happens... I am also struggling a bit, one project at work consuming a lot of my time. Plus kids starting daycare and preschool after summer break, and travelling every weekend etc. etc.

But it'll settle down, I'm sure (it better by September 19th!)

Characters for the first steps... Well, I've been quite wanting to play the Mesmerist. I'll see how it goes with Meligaster. The hellknight concept I had was based on a mini I have, so that's a bit pointless for pbp... Then, I also have wanted to make an archer of some kind, but never have decided the details. Latest idea is a brawler, combining Voldo and Vega (of Soul Calibur and SF)

Male Level 1 Human Commoner

For first steps, I'll be playing Rough Hewn. He'll be some kind of brawler, but I haven't decided any specifics yet.

Cool name. Cool name.

I like how his details are also "rough". Reminds me of Strong Brute.

Ok... you realize that because I am being forced to create a new character, he's gonna have to be a doozy. No clue yet what it might be, but I am telling you now that Damien asked for it :P

Enjoy. You'll have a month to come up with your psychopath / sociopath / nymphomaniac. :-P

I think character creation is one of my favorite parts of the game. Just made a buccaneer for a game that may or may not even happen for me... and had a blast doing it.

Dark Archive

Human (Minnesotan) Rules Lawyer 4, GM 5!

hmm... I had been planning on building a Callistrean... at some point.

FYI - I am going to be putting up one or two games as well tonight, for the group.

#1: We Be Goblins, Free, for any who are interested (expecting the five that did the other two).

#2: Thornkeep: The Enigma Vaults, for the Slayers.

The former can start at any time. The latter, as soon as the Slayers have time to level up (or not, if they didn't level).

Liberty's Edge

Is there still room in WBGF? I think I played Rita in WBGT once upon a time.

As for the Slayers, I think only Jaender was leveling up. The rest should be just 1 xp shy of level 5. Is level 4 team appropriate for The Enigma Vaults?

"Both! Chuffy said 'either way', not 'any way'. Silly GM needs to pay attention to Syntax," gripes Chuffy as he finishes on the chamber pot. He reads the label on the side of the now putrid container... Hmmm... 'Made by 37 Signals?' Good to see they finally started making what they were good at...

So, dot in, pick your character, etc.

We'll start tomorrow evening, unless I hear people want to wait. Looks like we've got our Poog, Chuffy, and Mogmurch. Still need a Reta (and any duplicates), so go ahead and jump in there, Jyri!

Male Human Engineer/4 (ding!)

Jaender is updated in Hero Lab. But not on the website. Couldn't get to poog tonight either.

I will get there... I promise.

Just FYI, Jaender's only purchase was a headband of charisma. should probably post that in the enigma vaults thread....

Going to go some sort of full caster for the newbies. Jaender is the only full caster that we routinely adventure with, though I did like Tiberius, so I thought it might be nice to have another.

I have 3 adventures to play around with some concepts, so please excuse me if I switch characters until level 2. My heart is still set on the gnome evoker, but the Occult adventure is making me want to try one.

FYI - we still need one more Reta for WBG3 -- I am going to launch this game hopefully by this evening, so if we're going 3+NPC, that'll be that. Please dot in ASAP.

Thank you.

Liberty's Edge

Just checking... are Slayers on hold until WBG3 ends? I started to think about it, and I think I should avoid too many games. (Especially since September 19th brings many more...)

Male Level 1 Human Commoner

I think I need to hold off on WBG 3/Free for the moment. I want to play in this game of goblin shenanigans but I think I have too many games going on currently and couldn't keep up with our once a day posting schedule. Or at least not keep up with our posting schedule and also have decent posts of any substance. Sorry guys, I feel like punk not being able to play.

Dark Archive

Human (Minnesotan) Rules Lawyer 4, GM 5!

I could go either way. WBG3 will start tonight, but we can certainly keep The Enigma Vaults going slow (or on hold) for a moment.
