Check the top of your sessions, Steve. Jack's sessions have the dates messed up - well, missing. ;-)
6-98 not reported. Can't quite remember who our GM for 6-98 was but I can check my chronicle sheet.... oh yeah, some yahoo with the number 74294. Does that number ring a bell for anyone?
SIGH... my point was if it was reported, it might have been misreported.

So I feel a little ashamed I didn't remember we had already started Wardstone patrol when John mentioned it before we left for GenCon (as an offer to help Pooka get up to Jaender's level).
But it does leave me to wonder the same question Damien asked, are we going to roll through that one? I am still very interested, but everything seems a little helter skelter since GenCon...
We currently have:
Reign of Winter - Misfits
Temple of PC Death Emperyal Enlightenment - Slayers
Haunting of Hanojia - Occult Pregens (lvl 7)
On Tap:
Wardstone Patrol???? - (Ack! Forgot the nickname for John's Group)
After that I'm not sure - I know one scenario I would LOVE to play in is slave master's mirror, if just to finish the story. Cyrus is leveled out of it, as is Lort likely (and probably Gunari also) but I would definitely enjoy taking Pooka (who is Liberty's Edge) through it.
Just throwing a few things out there. While I sit on my hands. Trying not to blast all the boards with all the posts.
All the posts!!!
:)

Sorry all, RL had some unexpected turns. I hope to get caught up tomorrow and then will be offline on Sat and Sunday, hoping back to posting last sun night/early Monday.
Wardstone was created but never started. I can run that if people are interested, and can run Slave master Mirror (yes 2) after Haunting finishes.
Enough time here, time to catch up on gameplay.

No problems mate, hope real life sorts itself out soon. It's been quiet on all fronts actually, shouldn't take long to catch up... except for reading my massive freakin' posts that is! So much pent up PbP inside of me...
"Bob's Beasts", by the way, Steve. Oh, and I'm still interested in Wardstone Patrol.

Loved bugdip's story! Hoping one of my characters gets to adventure with him.

Sorry to disappoint, Chris, but that's the whole story until we start adventuring together. Then I'll keep it coming. I was hoping this would lead in nicely to the pre-VC meeting in our first adventure together with "the Alts"... whenever that happens (and I'm hoping soon, so we can have some characters to play season 7 tier 1-5 games with).

Got finally to play Amaranti in a local game, and Bonekeep of all the scenarios (he was the only one to walk out alive, carrying a dead cold body of one of his teammates along).
Managed to convert and paint a mini for him while my girls were also painting at the same time, making it quite a chaos. So I'm rather satisfied how it turned out, all things considered. I just wish Amaranti really had such an armor :)
So mini assembled, painted, based, ready to go... AND THEN I FORGET IT HOME WHEN I GO TO PLAY...
Anyway, Amaranti just hit 18 xp, making him level 7. I guess the GenCon Drongos are already on 8? How about Miro and Finarin?

Nope. I'm sorry, I can't accept that. You must write more :)

Holy crap, that mini of Amaranti is amazing. You did a spectacular job!

Gotta save something for in game, right? I just wanted to share my excitement and new character concept with everyone. It's not every day that a pregen you play, a GM boon you receive and an old scenario you ran work together in order to give you such a wave of inspiration. So glad you enjoyed reading it. I loved writing it!
In general, I think it might be a nice idea for the level 8 Drongos to slow track a little to allow the others to catch up. I'm certainly up for it. I do want to get to level 12, but I want to do it together most of all.
So... is it just me, or has Chris B stopped writing on the Zedroom?
Also... and you know who you are... respond to your emails! Well, the email from me anyway. Enough of this "PbP" thingy, time to communicate old school. :-P

He has stopped writing on the Zedroom. Got some life changes going on and a system conversion at work (which, as the Controller, I am getting bombarded with). I am still reading through things, though, as time allows. My efforts are mainly put towards our active games, so as to participate and not bog things down.

My Parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary today. Once all the dust settles, I will be back to normal. I have been reading and itching to respond to everything, but time is not my friend until tonight/tomorrow. Server crash really messed me up as that was my allotted free time Friday.
Oh well, Finarin is Level 7 (19 hp)

I did some internet searching for room availability for next year's gencon, and found that either the hotels near the convention center are booked already, or the rooms have not been opened up to allow them to be booked yet. I thought I'd try to get ahead of the game for next year, in case our crew decides to try and meet up next year, but I may already be too late...
@ Damien: when did you book your room last year for this past gencon?
If everything is already booked close to the convention center for next year. Ugh, that's too bad...

Rules Question: does speed weapon enhancement stack with rapid shot? i.e. both grant an extra attack, so if they stacked, one would get two extra attacks.
My interpretation: I know from the rules that speed enhancement does not stack with the haste spell, so by extension, I assume this means the the speed weapon enhancement would not stack with rapid shot, but I just wanted to check with you dudes.

@Lockwood - the way to look at this is whether or not rapid shot and haste are the same sort of abilities... since speed weapons work like haste (in fact, require haste to create).
In fact, rapid shot is more like two weapon fighting than haste (one is a feat, one is a magical effect). For sure, haste works with rapid shot, so I see no reason why the speed enhancement would not.

Awesome, that'd be amazing. I could pick up the speed enhancement instead of upgrading to a +3 weapon after one more chronicle sheet for Ibid. I'm guessing I can apply the level 7 pregen chronicle sheet to Ibid (who is also level 7) that we are running for the occult adventures toons, right?

I would suggest against it... it is a +3 enhancement (32K, after the +1 required on top of it). So this would require 45 Fame as well.
I'd add Seeking to the bow, for sure (to overcome miss chances) -- this would be far better than the extra attacks. Plus, Miro should be getting Haste as a spell soon (doesn't Amaranti already have it?), and sooner or later Gunari will be getting Blessing of Fervor.
Haste effects are easy to get.
For weapons, add enhancement bonus (to overcome DR) and things simple spells can't do.
IMHO
| christopher lockwood |
Yes you can apply the credit from Haunting to Ibid.
Awesome, that's a nice surprise. I hadn't even considered that :)

Maybe you all can help me understand how the rules for purchasing items and upgrades in PFS work. I don't want to make the wrong assumption.
Currently, Ibid has a +2 (adaptive) composite longbow. If I were to add the speed weapon enhancement to the bow, which is the equivalent of a +3 bonus, wouldn't the incremental additional cost be +18,0000 gp? In PFS, a fame score of at least 36 is required to make purchases of 23,000 gp (or less). In this case, Ibid would need to have 36 fame to purchase the incremental +18,000 gp upgrade?
Or, does he instead need an even greater amount of fame to cover the total net worth of the bow after the upgrade is complete (i.e. +2000 gp for the initial +1 enhancement bonus, +8,000 gp for next +2 enhancement bonus, and then +18,000 gp for the speed enhancement bonus, for a grand total net worth of approx. ~28,000 gp) which would need 40 to 45 fame?
Thanks!
| PapaSteve's Wayfinder Alias |
You need to have the fame required for the total value of the weapon in order to upgrade, even though you are only paying for the incremental upgrade.

Holy man-frog, Damien! Amazing story! I look forward to playing with Bugdip :)
@Chris L.: As Jack said, Amaranti is casting Haste pretty often, so if you have anything else planned for your money, getting a haste effect might not be that important. But with Boots of Haste you have it when you need it...
Amaranti gets now level 3 spells. I'm considering either Magic circle against evil or Resist energy, communal, as those have proven quite life-savers in recent (local) games. Is anyone else in the group able/willing to cast them? I'd just like to have all bases covered as a team...
Hope you enjoyed the special! I know I did!
Yeah, we had a blast. Fighting the BBEG especially! Really gives insight to starting season 7.

I can't lie, this is what I was baiting you for, Chris. I was pretty sure you were paying attention but didn't know for sure. ;-)
I hope real life clears up for you soon, mate. If it doesn't, no troubles. We'll continue to feel a strange breeze every time you check the Zedroom.

I'd like to get the chance to try 6-03 - The Technic Siege. Well, with the the Drongos, that is.
After Temple, I was thinking of running The Enigma Vaults (get us back into Thornkeep!).
As for the PbP game day, if I do the scenario for Ray and AJ (and all y'all are invited to join in), then I may be doing only very limited events for the game day itself (possibly just Serpents Rise).
After The Enigma Vaults, I could run WBG3.

So, on another point... just to make sure I overwhelm myself...
Would any of the folks that did not go to Gen Con be interested in Siege of Serpents (the interactive special) or Serpents Rise (the 4-star exclusive where you play aspis agents)?
If you were interested, I would for sure announce those games. Otherwise, I may not (ok, still will probably do Serpents Rise, but...)

They have a way to do it.
So, with two folks saying "Yes", I will for sure run this for you all.
I forgot to ask, which tier should I post for... which characters are you playing (note that those characters may be out of action for other PbP for 2-3 months)?
I'll let you all decide the tier.

So that is not the Kobold one then, hmmm, I have a stable of characters, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd that are available, but I could pull Finarin and run haunting, then 2 more scenarios for the Drongos.
