I have no argument with an immediate action as described. Y’all have stated it well.

I quoted/linked to the PRD- the sentence about being able to take a swift action whenever you can take a free action is at the end of that paragraph that you quoted, second-to-last sentence. ;P It’s in the same place on p. 188 of my print copy of the Core Rulebook too.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't really matter to me how it gets ruled. I'll just roll with however it gets decided. All good to me any ol' way.

What I quoted was the entirety of what was in the paragraph - might be looking at something else. ;) However, to totally support your position, I did see this:

PRD wrote:
Restricted Activity: In some situations, you may be unable to take a full round's worth of actions. In such cases, you are restricted to taking only a single standard action or a single move action (plus free and swift actions as normal). You can't take a full-round action (though you can start or complete a full-round action by using a standard action; see below).

...which would seem to explicitly state that you get a swift -- and I change my earlier opinion as a result.

Normally Ansha I would at it would be fine but since the map has been there for 3+ weeks with out comment or anyone moving their tokens I am going to say you need to stay there. It’s not as if you are far away. You are adjacent to Nasira still.

Not arguing, but I can see Ansha's point. It's easy to forget an unusual grid size and we've not only been on this map for several months, real-time, we also didn't place ourselves on the map - at least, I didn't.

OK, friends, I'm at a loss what I should do with my highly mobile archer looking at a room so cramped I think I suffer an AoO anywhere I stand. Should I go into melee here? I don't think I stand a chance of surviving if she decides to focus on me, but if she's distracted from Arigoder and Morgrym for a round, that might kill her, too.

Very open to suggestions.

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 13 [Champion: 6]

At the moment, you can see her from the hall. Start shooting into melee first, then we'll see what happens - those are 10' squares, so you should be able to shoot from the passage or from a corner.

Rogue (scout) 14/Trickster 6 [hp 125(115)/125(115) |AC 25 T 19 FF 19 |F6* R18* W7 |CMD 32 |Init +14 |Perc +19 (+23 to avoid being surprised; +23 to overhead conversations/find hidden things; +30 to find traps) Darkvision 120' |MP 5/15 |Surge +1d8 | Conditions:

I can put five arrows in the air if I don’t move. That doesn’t allow me to get any sneak attack, so the damage potential falls off. I’ll have to play with it.

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 13 [Champion: 6]

Do you sneak attack at a certain range? If you have an ability to do that, I would imagine one of the rest of us could use a path ability to let you do that.

Rogue (scout) 14/Trickster 6 [hp 125(115)/125(115) |AC 25 T 19 FF 19 |F6* R18* W7 |CMD 32 |Init +14 |Perc +19 (+23 to avoid being surprised; +23 to overhead conversations/find hidden things; +30 to find traps) Darkvision 120' |MP 5/15 |Surge +1d8 | Conditions:

Standard range, 30’

I could use an ability to get her flat-footed, but requires movement, which reduces the number of attacks I can make.

So I can shoot up to five times without sneak attack or two times with it. I need to do some math, but I just haven’t had time.

Life threw me a curve ball and will try to update tomorrow. Sorry

Also can you take an aoo on your own turn?

Rogue (scout) 14/Trickster 6 [hp 125(115)/125(115) |AC 25 T 19 FF 19 |F6* R18* W7 |CMD 32 |Init +14 |Perc +19 (+23 to avoid being surprised; +23 to overhead conversations/find hidden things; +30 to find traps) Darkvision 120' |MP 5/15 |Surge +1d8 | Conditions:

I believe if you trigger an action on your turn that triggers an AoO from you, you are able to take that AoO. In the right corner case, it can apparently get quite silly.

Apologies for late notice, but I have embarked on my annual autumn excursion to Someplace Else(TM) and so my availability and access may not be what they generally are. It looks like I should be able to post in the evenings, but can make no guarantees, so please feel free to bot my character as necessary.

You can, indeed. There are even some feats that count on it (that let you AoO by triggering something, or when you crit, etc.)

Also, there was a specific question about Parrying an AoO against you and it was said to be ok somewhere on the boards.

Thanks for the feedback. Just haven't had that situation happen before and haven't had time to look into it.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Sorry I've been away so long. Unfortunately, work is beating the dog out of me and that doesn't appear to change any time soon.

I'll try to do better than once a freaking month(I know, that's pretty terrible) but it's just tough right now.

Still around though. Just not as I once was. I do apologize.

Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 14/Archmage 6 Portrait

Bump. Looks like Nasira and Damiel are up.

Ansha, will Sustaining Legend help you reduce or remove the condition that caused you to flee? I didn't go back to check because I'm running out of time.

For my last action, I was able to use Shape Emotions to reduce my frightened condition. I think Ansha was too far away from the rest of the group to be caught in the radius of Nasira's spell, but I'm not sure whether the two effects would stack either. Shape Emotions says it reduces fear by one step and gives the example order 'shaken has no effect, frightened is reduced to shaken, and panicked to frightened.' Sustaining Legend, on the other hand, says it reduces frightened to shaken or panicked to frightened. The different wordings also make me wonder whether Shape Emotions means it removes shaken or doesn't.

Hi folks,

I'm about to be away for 10 days - but with the usual "post-trip" recovery time, I think it's safer to say I'm away 'til Jan 14th (so we can all be pleasantly surprised if I'm online sooner).

Please feel free to bot Ari while I'm gone. Basically, attack and parry and hope not to die. ;)

Travel safe!

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 13 [Champion: 6]

Wouldn't Ari have gotten an AoO as she stepped back? Or did she withdaw, that terrible creature?

It was a withdraw action preceded by a standard using mythic point! She isn’t a fool and knows most of your abilities

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 13 [Champion: 6]

Like I said. Terrible. ;P

Morgrym the reason you rolled bad is that there is no one there to attack. She moved away last time.

I looked to see if I could find if she moved or not but I couldn't find it. I must've overlooked it.

Ah well. Next round then.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Is that map correct? I have no idea if I'm looking at the right map. The map where Morgrym is WAAAAY back in the room by himself? Is that the map?

Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 14/Archmage 6 Portrait

The map linked at the top of the threads, labeled “combat map,” is the current one, I do believe.

Yes you are by yourself with the fog cloud around you. Everyone else basically ran back to help Nasira and Ansha.

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 13 [Champion: 6]

Ok, assuming that I think Arigoder's dumb enough to tumble through the threatened *and* occupied squares (using a mythic point for the extra speed) so that he can then close with the Glabrezu now that it can move and make life unpleasant...

...how many acrobatics checks would that require?

I believe it is only 1 check but then I add modifiers for additional enemies and moving through or past creatures

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Did Arigoder kill either of the minotaurs?

Thanks for the heads up, Nasira. I didn't use a mythic point this time but I'll keep that in mind.

What's the duration on that?

14 rounds

For the value, I might recast it.
