Mr. Pip |

"Different things for different times. Its all different. Sometimes the King just gets bored and orders the champions to raid some rogue merfolk tribe that decided to set up to close. This is probably the most prominent of challenges he has found, as this is an actual dungeons of sorts"

Anala, Nixie Bard |

"Well, with all the magic still in this room, either some of those items were pretty powerful, or the room itself is." Anala observes in response to Gorkhan's question. "It must be hard working for him then." she observes tactlessly to Pip.
I'm ready to go. I'll just add a brief summary about her collecting her belongings before they leave, that's all :)

Anala, Nixie Bard |

I feel this would have made more sense after an appropriate post from you, but alright.
As the group readies to leave Anala excuses herself and Yaci, heading swiftly back towards the inn she had been staying in. The audience had been a bit disappointing at first, but after meeting Pip and the other 'foreigners' to the city her opinion had swung the other way, and she was looking forward to having a crack at whatever this dwarven ruins supposedly was.
It doesn't take her too long to settle her tab and collected her backpack before she heads back with all haste to catch up to the others so that they can all travel together.

Azure |

Azure takes the food presented to him. And since he had already packed his bag and suited up into his armor he had no need to return to his dwelling.
He listens to the questions asked of the gillmen and his responses to them silently and when introductions are being exchanged he says: "My name is Azure, I am a local historian and archaeologist, though I usually work alone, it will be nice to have some company for a change."

Anala, Nixie Bard |

Ahh, whoops
"So we have Myself, Anala, Yaci, Pip, Livyathan, Gorkhan, Azure, and..." she looks expectantly at the other Undine and Merfolk. If they were all goign to work together to explore this relic or ruins or whatever it is, they should at least know each other's names.

Gorkhan Trask |

"So where exactly is this door nobody can open? Considering the rush for supplies earlier, do you think we are going to have to push through a crowd to get to it?"

Mr. Pip |

"Well if your all ready i can take you to it. Right this way"
*he leads you out of the building and eventually taking you out of the city, it takes about two hours to get there. You reach a large crevice atop a hill/mountain (basically saying that its no the ocean floor because your characters couldn't handle the pressure :P)*
"This is as far as i go travelers. It is down there on the side of crevice wall. You will know it when you see it"
*He then makes a hasty retreat*

Anala, Nixie Bard |

No worries guys. I just figured we should get the introductions out there at the least :)
"Excellent! I look forward to meeting whoever that is Olrune." she says with a broad smile. "It's not a dwarven temple is it?"
Once she has collected her gear she nods to Pip and trails along beside him, chatting to anyone willing to talk to her, or else humming a pleasant tune to herself.
"It does seem a bit odd Gorkhan. It seems like we'll all just get in each other's way, and if there are traps well... that'll just be even more dangerous!"
When they arrive at the crevice and Pip bids them farewell she offers him her thanks, before looking to the others. "Well. Shall we?" she asks, and if noone else steps forward, leads the way down, webbed feet and hands propelling her into the depths.

Anala, Nixie Bard |

Anala tenses up as the shark approaches, her hand going to the rough leather-wrapped grip of Laganru's Fang. As it so casually swims around Olrune, and the merfolk introduces it she relaxes. "Ahh, I see." she smiles at the shark then, not saying anything but extending her hand towards it.
Wild Empathy check on Sivir: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
She's not particularly trying to accomplish anything here, other than getting a feel for Sivir and see if she can make friends. I'd say she's fairly successful :)
Anala's smile widens as she looks back at Olrune. "She's lovely." she agrees. "By all means." she adds, swimming slightly behind and to the side of Olrune as they descend.

GM Darvis |

You descend farther and farther down, the light begins to fade.
When you look up you can barely see where it was you came from.
But even then you brave adventurers continue downward.
And not too long after the light fades you see another light...
Off in the distance, you can barely see it.
As you approach you see a circular, copper/golden thing protruding, ever so slightly from crevice the wall....

Gate |

You see the middle of this circular something start to open up, looking more at the detail you can see numerous odd symbols all over this.
"*coughing*Oof! agh! Kah! KAH!
*grunts*... Ah finally you have arrived!"
You see a sharp toothed mouth talking to you from this glowing thing, however its mouth looks lively, organic... With red flesh for gums and ivory for teeth.
*He shows a big grin on his "face"*
The metal as he talks moves as if not metal, but flesh.

Anala, Nixie Bard |

As the light starts to fade Anala sings a short little song, and several globes of brightly colored light pop into existence, bobbing and slowly swirling around the six of them as they continue downwards.
When the source of the light starts to become apparent Anala looks at it in dismay. "You ate them all, didn't you?" she asks, her tone sad rather than frightened.
I take it the mouth is quite large? Like door sized.

Gorkhan Trask |

"A talking door? With teeth?" Gorkhan looks around. "Did it already eat all the other 'champions'? Oh boy, I hope it's full."

No actually, its small :P. its in the center, a little bigger than a normal human mouth

Anala, Nixie Bard |

Anala continues to look at the mouth with a heavy heart, though she smiles briefly as she feels Yaci take her hand comfortingly. The bard allows the others to talk to the door, before finally shaking herself off as it poses it's riddle.
"May we retire a ways to discuss our answer?" she asks the door, her manner somewhat stiff as she looks down at it.

Arvin Taki |

Arvin tries to recall the lessions of his elders and the history of his people wondering if the name has any meaning
knowledge history 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
then after the riddle is given Arvin starts to contemplate the answer.
Well this is an interesting situation has anyone thought of a potential answer? I have a couple of thoughts but want to hear what you others have to say

"Madam... No matter where you are i will hear you. It matters not where you go, although you may if it makes you feel comfortable"

He hasn't really given a name, merely called himself "door", although i will swap that knowledge to instead know more about him and you do know of rumors that magical doors would guard some of the most precious things. But these were just rumors and childrens tales... or so you thought

Oh no, i doubt anyone has heard of it :P. Its a very old one of a kind sort of thing

Anala, Nixie Bard |

"Well fine." she mutters at the door's taunting, deliberately turning her back on it, facing the others. "The first thing that came to mind for me is time, but like Livyathan said, it doesn't quite seem to fit the last line of the riddle."
Though Anala has turned her back on the door Yaci watches it carefully, still holding her friend's hand in her own.

GM Darvis |

Azure nods toward the nixie. "Time also came to my mind as well."
Are there any kinds of markings or runes on the outside of the door or in the location around it, maybe on the frame? Assuming there are Azure will have more to say.
There are indeed many symbols going around the circular door
