Livyathan Coretin |
Swimming along at the back of the group, Livyathan seems to be thinking almost to himself, have thought words breifly reaching the others before he suddenly swims up to Anala and presses a coin into her hand, speaking a brief word. The coins glows softly for a moment before it's light grows to nearly seven yards in all directions. Light spell.
::We apologize for not thinking of this sooner. Keep the coin as long as you need it's light. I will refresh the magic when it starts to wear out.::
Sorry for not posting too.
Anala, Nixie Bard |
Uhh, okay whoops, I actually meant Sivir's skin since that is less weird and creepy :p
Alana looks down as Livyathan passes her the coin, giving him a quizical look. She smiles as he explains. "Thank you Livyathan, but I can see just fine with my own lights." she observes, gesturing at the dancing globes of light which continue to bob ahead of the group.
Anala, Nixie Bard |
We are, we're moving on from the bodies :p Kinda need to know what we run into next.
"Thank you." she observes, gently touching the friendly psuedodragon's scales in thanks, much as she has been doing to Sivir's rough hide.
"A can be fairly quiet, and I doubt Livyathan would make much noise..." she looks back at the other three members of their little group, not quite so certain about them, not having seen their talents as of yet. "We should probably stay together for now."
Gorkhan Trask |
The 'ring of armor +1' is like Bracers of Armor, or is it a Ring of Protection? And we can run with it having a label and it being one of the items from the supply room. The guy who took it just hadn't gotten around to putting it on, lol.
I can take point alongside Olrune, if it would be preferable not to have anyone on their own, since I can see pretty well, even without light, and can I be quiet as necessary. The light will announce our presence long before any sound."
"Anyone need a ring? Could be magical. Still has a label on it but if someone has the means to verify what it is, that might be best."
Arvin Taki |
I have no need for it but there may be others that can make use of it. also I will bring up the rear of the group. I can see rather well with or without the light and can keep watch from behind, and above if need be.
I already have bracers+1 and ring +1 so will not stack either way
Anala, Nixie Bard |
Anala nods her head as the others observe about her need for light, it seemed she was the only one who could not see in the dark. "Very well, whatever everyone thinks is best." she agrees, looking to Gorkhan, still feeling a moment of distaste as she looks at the ring. "I can try and identify it, Laganru taught me about such things." she agrees, holding her hand out to him, examining the ring as she hums a spell that awakens the world of magical auras to her senses.
Cast detect magic and make a spellcraft check to identify.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Don't think that's enough.

I will say it is this once because i already dropped the ball lol. It give a +1 to ac, like the bracers mentioned before
Arvin Taki |
If you can use it then go ahead like I said I already have +1 armor and +1 deflection so won't stack with anything I have
Arvin goes back toward the doorway they came in to check it out
I believe it has shut once we were all inside
Arvin checks out the door itself to see if it again springs to life or remains silent.

"Getting bored already?"
He says with an evil grin.
"As i mentioned before... I am not letting you out without you solving the puzzle that is this tomb... I do love good puzzles..."
He grins grows bigger revealing his diabolic teeth.
Anala, Nixie Bard |
We are heading down the long tunnel with Olrune and Gorkhan leading the way/scouting ahead.
Anala just looks at Arvin in first confusion, and then exasperation as he goes back to peer at the door again. "Come on. We're not going to get anything out of that... thing."
Gorkhan Trask |
Olrune, as a Ring of Armor rather than a Ring of Protection. I'm assuming it's a +1 armor bonus on that ring (like the Bracers of Armor), so only useful on folks without armor, or maybe against incorporeal creatures. As such, it wouldn't stack with the +3 armor bonus you already have.
"All right, let's go," Gorkhan says as he moves forwards into the darkness.
GM Darvis |
So about 60 ft. past the bodies the tunnel finally ends and opens up:
Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Far out in front of you, barely escaping your vision, you see what might be an opening. Off to your right at an angle you see what could be a door.
And something mysterious in a far off corner. (top right of this odd shaped "room".) The room is in an almost "D" shape.
The room is 60ft deep, you can tell as the room starts to end right about where your darkvision ends.
As you come up to what you see as an opening, your lights flicker their light and then go out.
You are left in darkness with your group unable to see.
Perception:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
You can barely see something way out it front of you just out of your visions, that may be more of the room or an opening your unsure.
The room is in a "D" shape, and you to the right there is nothing much other than wall at first glance.
Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
You can barely see something way out it front of you that you think is a door way.
The room is in a "D" shape, and you to the right there is nothing much other than wall at first glance, but you can tell it is shaped different. By deduction it could be some sort of closed door.

Perception:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Far out in front of you, barely escaping your vision, you see what might be an opening. Off to your right at an angle you see what could be a door.
And see what appears to be another champions body of to the far top right of this "D" shaped room.
The room is 60ft deep, you can tell as the room starts to end right about where your darkvision ends.
Anala, Nixie Bard |
Anala leads out a surprised squawk as her spell suddenly fails, plunging them into the darkness of the depths. She jumps, but then calms when Yaci takes hold of her hand. She quickly sings the tune to summon the lights back again. {b]"What's going on Yaci?"[/b]
Not sure how you want to handle it, but Yaci, her plant companion does have darkvision. Feel free to use Yaci as you need, either to communicate information or well, for whatever purpose seems appropriate :)

Had to do a bit of research to figure out what Leshy is exactly lol. (its awesome). But, since it isn't a companion due to your class, you merely have verbal speech that can exchange knowledge between you two. So... I will roll a perception check for it, and since it doesn't have much loyalty to you for any magical reasons, there may be times in which i will have to control him since he is an npc. But you can ask him since you both speak sylvan what he sees and i will act out his speech to tell you what he sees :P
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Anala, Nixie Bard |
Yeah, the Leshys are pretty cool :) There's no magical bond or anything between them--she was technically bought as gear--but Anala is kind of her mother since she grew her (handwaving the rolls). As I said feel free to use her as you need, and uhh, I did ask her what's going on :p
Arvin Taki |
back at the door before he leaves to ctch up with the party
Arvin see the party advancing into the dungeon further. as Arvin turns to leave he glances back at the obnoxious door...Chill out he whispers
Arvin lowers the water temperature around the door mouth to near freezing leaving small ice crystals starting to form around it
the door is most likely immune to non-leathal damage so it is for effect only
at the opening
Arvin strains to see to the limit of his darkvision
I think there is a door on the far side
he comments pointing in the direction of the door he spotted
Gorkhan Trask |
Just a reminder, Gorkhan has a +12 perception in water (so I guess it's effectively all the time), and has 120 ft darkvision (only in water, out of water=no DV).
Question: is the champion the 'something mysterious' that Gorkhan saw?
Gorkhan looks around the room, to see if he can determine something that may have caused this individual's death, his blades in his hands.
Gorkhan Trask |
"What the...?" Gorkhan looks around the room, floating around where Azure had been standing, to examine the area for anything unusual.
Perception +underwater +traps: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 32
