As you enter you see a similar sized room as the previous ones... except there are no coffined or holes in the walls. Not even a desk or trash anywhere.
There is however a glowing blue rune on the wall towards your right when you walk in....

As you all enter the room, you see what appears to be a room very similar to the last... With bodies and various holes in the walls... With an exception.. For in the next you see a glow... A blue Glow radiating from a doorway which leads to the next room... update map :)
The door burst open with a many crack and crackle from the splintering and breaking of the doors as they fly into the next room!
The first attempt at the door has no avail, as Orlune slams into the door it doesn't budge.
Its alright standard
Good example, however people don't think of hull as part of the team :P. And I'm sorry :/. I don't really know what to say. It seems like everyone just quites if they get angry :P at least you haven't done that. OH and anthem couldn't have everyone like her forever its limited :)
Two of those characters are DC :p. Maybe I'm just taking a marvel approach? I just wanted to hit on the public aspect of the game. Otherwise your just fighting monster after monster instead of worrying about what most super heroes worry about, which in most cases they simple worry whether or not the people will like them and how they will react. Cpt. America is a really of hero, in the sense it was created just to make people like them. And not everyone can be expected to be liked as they have. And I don't exactly want any type of character its just that I will look at the characters at the start as more of Spiderman image :). You can't control how people think of you. And granted yes you did roll for popularity, but you have to think about how things fluctuate and how people can't look at a one person in a group as amazing and another one a monster. Think about association :)

Why can't you guys just go along with it and consider it odd instead of freaking out... I wasn't going to let any of you actually be hit by any bullets and later you would have found that Big Al has his hands in the police in this area. Its fine, i just have to change the some of my plans around, but its worth it for everyone to realize that everything is done with reason and purpose :P.
The only civilians close are reporters which shouldn't be there anyways as the policy try to escort them away. And if you have read comics or anything of that nature or even in real life, cops don't take things like that unit account. For all you know they could have been given orders to fire on sight of any of you :). You most likely won't work with the police until later when you have proved yourselves :)
@the standard: your marshal ship is suspended at the moment FROM a higher authority, that women was just a messenger :P. And the main reason for this is because your identity isn't secret. And no no no I don't want anti-heroes :P. Its just that people think of you badly. You must be justfull and honorable as you are super heroes :) As far as the cops go... I DID warn you that people will think of you badly. There was negotiation from nick furry to get the cops away from the situation. They still view you as a threat. I tried to warn you not to expect everyone to run into your arms happily :P. Its everyone's job to try and show everyone that you are the good guys :). The only reason you are suspended at the moment is because people can try and hurt you personally since they know who you are :P. This is supposed to be a realistic game. In the sense very few heroes were loved from the beginning and even in later games some weren't liked. It was the heroes and.their actions that got them popular :)
The Officer says as the standard tries to speak to the officer: [b]"Their they are!! The mutant things!! The marshal is with em!![b]" A lot of the officers turn to you guys and start firing while many cameras start swarming the area around all of you as they have found a more interesting story than a bank robbery..
@anthem: thats my point when you said "put down your weapons and walk out of the building", a little kid at home out of school sick, his mom is at work. Nothing is on tv so he watches the news... He gets excited and sees super heroes.. then all of the sudden something happens... he feels strange... the lady voice.... drops remote ("weapon") and walks out of the building... He is on the 3rd of of his apartment complex, the nearest exit is a window ledge... you see where this is going :P. ALSO i hate to break it to the standard, but he isn't a marshal right now, he was suspended for openly using his powers without calling for backpack with a group that did damage to public property and also not to mention the demon and killer robot, the police and media are dumb and don't draw a line half the time between bad guy and good guy and unfortunately group all the people with powers together. Tis some difficulties and challenges that make this campaign fun. And this may seem like something easy, but its meant from a gm's point of view to be difficult. From a player point of view it could be hard,easy,or unnecessary. For you don't know why Nick Fury told you to do this, perhaps he is testing you, further testing your powers or will or cunning. You can't be sure so you must make a call on what to do that best fits the situation. I don't want most situations to be quick or easy. I want a lot of them to use cunning than just powers. BUT cunning+power can be quite useful. But unfortunately trying to get a microphone from a police officer that doesn't like you (as i stated previously at first the public wont like you), is not a good idea, nor is trying to use a form of mind control that area of effect isn't well controlled. And your right as far as i am a gm i must make a call, but i'm not screwing you over, i am making things difficult for the sake of fun. Also if your voice works over mega phone, why shouldnt it work through a tv? as that was one of your arguments :P. And another thing... I am trying to get everyone to realize that people are scared of people with powers, and just openly using mind control can lead to disastrous effects. My examples of this are: x-men and spider man, as no matter what they do they are almost always hated. And that may not necessarily be the case with this group, i will make a call on each basis to see how the public views you. But in reality, extremists and media people will often view a hero as a villain, just as they do with modern celebrities, even if they show up at a hospital for a dying kid, the media will find a way to portray it badly :P. And i understand your frustration, but its just the difficulty of the game :). I will try my best to make sure that the group can complete each scenario as well as trying my best to keep anyone from getting killed, as i have always thought that a tpk or even one person dying is bad gming (sometimes), and i think its my job to make sure everyone gets through everything... BUT not easily, and make sure its fun. And i think this is reasonable :). But all in all, the mega phone was a clever idea, and those ideas will help a lot, this one just wasn't a good one and i was trying to tell you out of game that it won't work, but in the end i can't tell you what to do, as i am the console, you are the people with the controllers :)
]I was just warning you that a cop will not just hand you a Mega phone. And also, it would look bad if you openly used a form of mind control and could prove to be bad for everyone watching. You could use it once your inside, but just using a Mega phone and controlling everyones mind in the area isn't suggested. Not only could it not effect everyone inside as anticipated, but it also involves possible pvp and control of the minds of innocents watching at home as reporters will likely have a camera on you. Which will lower your karma as you will be using your powers on innocents, but also you would be telling robbers something that many others could follow. So you could accidentally tell a kid to jump out a window if your not careful :P. I am just warning you. With great power comes great responsibility and the possibility of killing a lot of people lol
Your assumptions of the room already being flooded is correct as you look through one of the holes... HOWEVER the door doesn't open as easily as you anticipated. It feels as if its perhaps boarded shut or even block on the other side somehow and your initial attempt at opening the door fails.

Cars stop in their tracks blaring their horns as angry drives lean their heads out and yell: "Ey!! Move it!"" A voice comes over radio from your communicaters.... Nick Fury: "your approximately two blocks away. What we know, is the their are at least 6 thugs and how many armed we are unsure... they have hostages and the police have the building surrounded. Your job is to infiltrate the bank and diffuse the situation with the least amount of casualties possible. I will send you the layout of the bank once i get it" Nick Fury: "oh and by the way.. if you haven't figured this out already the police aren't to fond of ya, nor is the general public. Good luck" Static comes over the communicator as he stops talking

Fury says with a smile and perhaps half laugh:"I know." He pushes a button on the remote from earlier, and the in the same way you saw "Big Al" you now see it scrolling through holograms of all of you, with your stats next to your hologram. Some of it censored with "****", like the actual names of everyone is a good example along with the limitations/weaknesses of everyone.

Lol my plan was for no one to get actually hurt when they fall, he sort of unknowingly screwed my plans up. But i rolled with it :)
As breakneck jumps he falls... But not as far as he thought. He drops approximately a foot as he hits some sort of floor... Fury let's out a laugh "HAHA" he says "That one gets me goin' everytime!"
When breakneck stands up he disappears into a flash of... Nick Fury:"I said it was the exit..." He says with a laugh Nick Fury:"But your all far to valuable for me to let any of you be harmed" He says getting straight faced Nick Fury: "But never the less.. He is a deserter. Our team needs strong members that are willing to fight and be strong for the cause, for their COUNTRY." He says adding extra emphases on "country". Nick Fury:"Now that we weeded out the weak ones... I think its safe to say we have a good strong team, don't you all? Now all i ask of my team is simply this... Continue doing what you did today, its all i ask. Fight this menace as a team. I'm sure for they will do this sort of thing at least a few more times to perfect their project, but until then, you have to show them how their "projects" are weak. And when the time comes that we track down this menaces home base, we will have you all on the front lines giving em' a nice big smile for me. So what do you all say? There is a threat arising in Rayborn that could be a potential threat to the U.S. His name is "Big Al". *he pushes a button on a tiny remote, a picture of "Big Al" pulls up as a hologram* He appears to be a bulbous man (somewhere between king pin and the blob) Nick Furry: "Now this fat, disgusting man is a known criminal, at least to us. He has been working with Cell Corp., an organization that we theorize may be using technology from a project in WWII known as "Project: Rebirth" to make super humans. What some of saw today was an early attempt at this. His was merely a test run though. We don't know why they are using androids instead of humans nor how Big Al is involved, we just know they. So the question i have for all of you... Are you gonna help us with this? As an incentive..." He walks over to a side door and opens it, a gust of winds flies and continues as it is a vacuum. You now notice the building you thought you were in is actually an air craft. He says walking away from the door yelling over the noise:"Theres the door for those of you who don't want to help. And don't be smart and fly out any of you either, it won't help you any"

I didn't know how you wanted me to describe you, so i just sort of guessed :P. Nice though. Nothing looks more professional than lincoln in a Hawaiian shirt, boxers and one sock lol
Nick Fury: "Great, no questions, movin' along" He says obviously not caring what any of you had to say at this point. He escorts everyone past the computers into what sort of looks like a boardroom of a college professors room. You can tell he is a man of authority as people move out of his way immediately as he walks through. There are about 20 chairs in the room escalating slowly upwards from the central point. He walks into the "central point" and stares at everyone expecting them to take a seat.
People rarely know about S.H.I.E.L.D., so i would say no :P
Once everyone is in the back of the truck, men come and close the doors... The car starts to drive Fury brings his wrist up to his mouth and says: "Got the rest of 'em" A flash of lights blinds you all... You appear in an odd room with computers everywhere and people going about busy. This is a high tech place. You once again find yourselves next to the conduit and Leccia as well.. ALTHOUGH... There appears to be someone new standing beside you... A person who looks like a moving and walking statue looking back at you. He appears to be in the same situation you are all in. Monument:
You were going about your business in a usual day as a flash of light blinds you... You appear in an odd building next to odd people, there are computers everywhere... and people going about busy Nick Fury walks out from all of you and turns around with his hands behind his back and says: "Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. I run this operation. Any questions before we move?"
No you dont have to pick the mystic talent and no you dont have to have a weakness. Monument: I am going to throw you in the campaign.
The conduit:
Once you get away leccia hides in an alley. two men in suits approach her and exchange a few words then disappear in a flash of light.... You wondering how this could be... Soon after you you see nothing but a flash of light and you and leccia are standing right beside one another it what appears to be an odd building. There are people on computers everywhere Leccia: Right as you thought things couldn't get weirder, the conduit appears right next to you in what appears to be the same fashion that brought you here

One of the men holds his ear: "we have demonclaw, repeat we have demonclaw" Light flashes all around you and you appear in an odd building the men immediately continue and walk off leaving you there in this strange high tech place. Their are people everywhere on computers. On women yells: "the rest will be with you shortly!" Nick fury: " in time all of your questions will be answered" The cops leave in their cars. A big truck pulls up and the back opens revealing benches. Nicky fury hops in and looks back: "care to join me or are you just going yo stand there staring at me?"
A women wearing a brown skirt of brown over coat (obviously has some authority) walks out and start yelling: Women: "PUT YOUR GUS DOWN! ALL YOU!" As she walks out to the group the policemen lower their weapons. The women says to the standard: "Look.... I don't know what your pulling going out with a renegade bunch of mutants, but right now your suspended as your badge is going up for question." She says to the group: "I have been authorized to set you all free on the terms that you go peacefully and go with this man" A man walks out sporting an eye batch short shaved hair with some nice gray coming in around the edge of his hair line along the sides of his head. He is sporting a blue jump suit looking thing that appears odd to you. He has on white boots and white strips going around his waist that make his belt and gun holster. The Women: "Look i don't know whats going on, but this man have saved ALL of your skin, and he has orders from a much higher up place than these police officers around here" She turns to the man... You can barely hear it as she whispers:"What about demon lady?" The man replies: "Oh we have that taken care of" Leccia:
Once you get far enough a way from everyone and decide to "change" in an alley. A few well dressed men in suits with ear buds in (you can see the wire) step out and ask: "Mam.... Can you come with us please? We have the rest of the group at the moment and we are arranging a proper meeting" The man turns back to the group as the women walks off angrily, He says:"Gentleman, (in a rigid voice)my name is Nick Fury, and i would appreciate it if you all came with us"

That'll finish him off. He BURSTS into flames and turns into a pile scrap and flesh on the ground. the police man again yells Police Man #1:"HALT! STOP! ALL OF YOU!"

Police cars pull up and surround the group in a circular pattern, they get out armed. Police Officer #1(megaphone): "We have you surrounded! All mutants but your hands in the air, slowly!"
As the water reigns over each drop that falls on Baltrexs skin is like a drop of acid, steam rises as each drop falls on him, a few sparks here and there... Baltrex: "Err....." He isn't out yet. Some of his skin falls off as if melted wax revealing some tubes and some flesh along with robotic body parts
If you guys just really can't get him i may give you a hint. But they only get harder from here, but in different ways :). I thought this character was quite cool when i came up with the idea. I may his stats after you finish him just, censored of course :P. Some info is for me -_- |
