Usually we'll get an update to wrap things up quickly as we near the end of Gameday.
Gameday ends on November 26. We should be good at this pace. Much better than another game I'm playing...

I don't really know much about inventors. How did you come up with DC21? I would assume as a lvl 6 construct Meat Wagon would require a DC22 check to repair per the DCs by level chart. You got a 23 on your crafting check to repair Meat Wagon. That is a success but not a critical success. Since you are expert in crafting shouldn't that be 5+10 HP back instead of 30? Is there a fancy inventor ability that alters the repair action?
I'm not sure how I came up with 21? I'd say I didn't update it from leveling from 5 to 6 but since level 5 is DC20 I probably just assumed it bumped up +1 like everything else when you leveled. Thanks for sorting that.
As far as the amount of HP in repair, the discrepancy is Stitch uses

I’m going to be in the road all day, so feel free to bot me to keep the game going.

Is Irina still interested in 06-05 (the one where I'm introducing a colleague to PbP)?

What is the black bordered token just above Bella on the map?
I suspect I missed something, but how is Green grabbing Quickblade when he is 15’ away?
I missed that Quickblade crawled away after escaping.

The black token is Tjolfor the Bruised chained to his tree and unable to contribute to the fight.

Halgur, I positioned the flames in order to get Quick Blade in there because Quick Blade has been the main punching bag of this fight.
Would you allow me to retcon to a move and a 15 foot cone instead of a 20 foot cone to get all the same people including Quick Blade?
Hmm

yes... abuse of human pretending to be a bird! :)

I will allow you to move and cast instead. Is the red template your planned spell? If so that will not work as it originates from the wertiger's space. I'm not sure that you can move and still catch the weretiger, Quickblade, Bella and Stitch all in a 15 foot cone.
If you move to the square SE of Bella you can get Vardarel, Quickblade, Stitch and the weretiger but not Bella.
I have placed Ghost Clover to indicate precisely where I mean.
I'll continue to leave Green's token up until you decide.

They're intelligent predators. I figure they'll try to pick out the most injured prey. Besides I figured you guys would smoke this encounter. You all started a little slowly by spreading out all of your attacks so it ended up a little bit rougher than the numbers would indicate.

I previously played this one with Pirate Rob and we (as in Pirate Rob and I) almost ended up as compost... :)

It is my fault we goofed on the cone.
I keep forgetting that by a strict interpretation of the diagram cones do not allow you to use that orientation. The text does not preclude it, but the illustration does not include it. A lot of people take that interpretation as well.
We will have to wait until she wakes up, but likely she will choose to take your suggested cone.

I will choose the suggested cone.

Isn’t this the introduction to the most difficult combat encounter where it is only intended for groups that are focused on that? The one that also carries the warning about length?
We have struggled with two combats. I completely ran out of heal spells in the combat against the weretigers.
I really don’t think this group is combat focused. Others can weigh in on this and I will go with the group.

The most difficult combat encounter is the one where Pirate Rob and I were almost reduced to compost... I thought Quickblade would be a somewhat frontline PC but not really... :)
The last combat encounter is nuts (not the weretigers). Even with a party that was built for combat we were mauled pretty badly...

btw, sulfuric negotiations is almost ready. just needed to clear something up with Matt (aka Chestercopperpot). Looks like the middle fight is a hard one.

We're not set up for heavy duty combat with this group. We struggle with normal combats.

Construct inventors are certainly not optimized for combat encounters, even though I'm trying the best I can. The numbers just won't ever be there and options too few.

I honestly find it a little strange that Inventors don’t get Reactive Strike. A lot of martial classes have that as an option at 6th level.

There is a feat for something similar: Distracting Explosion

That one is good against casters. It relying on the Concentrate action makes it very different than a Reactive Strike, but with the Unstable it could disrupt a Spellcaster sustaining a spell.

I think you are all selling yourselves short. No one was even knocked unconscious in either fight. The monsters in the first fight got in a couple of lucky hits and the only reason you didn't finish the weretigers faster was due to spreading out your attacks too much in the first round.
Still if you guys don't feel up to it I won't push it. The goal is to have fun after all. We'll continue with things as they are in the gameplay thread so anyone else that wants to can make diplomacy/perception checks and I'll adjust the narrative to end up at the easier encounter.
