1) I did bring this up already.
2) Yep, brought it up
3) Looks like one is joining me in melee, so that won't be a problem for one of them
4) ZAP, fried chicken anyone?
5) I have sound. Drums of war anyone?
6) Mhm
Now the big thing is - is anything FORCING us to fight today? Why not tomorrow? Or the day after? I'm not against waiting until the storm abates if we have to.
TOO LATE, CAN'T STOP MEH NOW, ALRIGHT CHUMS WE'RE DOING THIS! LEEEROOOOOY
Lets not wait - Thron worked hard on his post and gave us PLENTY of time to decide if we wanted to wait.

Taking 10 on survival gives me a 27. I was going to fly ahead of the rest and set fire to the barracks BEFORE the rains come. I figure if the battle goes south, we'll have an easier time getting away/hiding from the ogres in the storm.
Sorry I wasn't clear, but I thought we would start at the beginning of the next day, not noon or later when the storm was at its worst.
EDIT: okay, I reread a bit and saw where I distinctly stated going ahead of the rains to set the fire. It was Jakardros who suggested going at noon, talking about the light being best. I think us knowing about the storm would have changed that plan quickly, and moves up our timetable.
Thoughts?

Before he leaves, he throws in his two cents.“Would that suit us or the ogres better? The foul weather might conceal our approach, but it feels a bit of a grim omen considering Riley’s reports of the Fort.”
Granted it's not a flat out declaration not to attack in the storm, but I did raise some doubts three days ago :-) :-p
To be honest I don't really mind what we do. Better weather would be safer and more sensible, but I kind of dig the cinematics of attacking to the backdrop of a gathering storm and I also appreciate the effort our beloved DM has put in.

Hey Team, I'm slammed with work related writing right now...which really kills my ability to do PbP. I'll then be on a snow trip Th & Fr (unclear how much I'll be posting then, but I'll try) and then home for the weekend...when I also tend to have little time to post due to (happy) family busy-ness. Hopefully next week is back to normal?
I'm super excited about this encounter so will do my best to keep up!
As far as the plan, assuming Riley was able to discern that it was going to get steadily worse, I agree with waking in the night if needed to get there by dawn.
If we didn't know that detail, or otherwise arrive in such horrible conditions...I agree that we should retreat and see if we can wait out the storm. It sounds mechanically interesting to work with...but I don't know why our characters would choose not to wait that out, unless there's some time pressure I'm forgetting here. We can set up a camp a bit away, and hope to hide or else kill scouts while we wait out the storm.

I think fighting a bunch of ogres in a thunderstorm would end up being an awesome, memorable encounter. Thus another reason why I say we go for it.

CDL expressed the following concern to me...basically...that the cave team was expected to be quite a bit ahead of the real attack.
I recognize this, but due to the limitations of PbP gaming, that would require all but Morythine, Zoli, and Setsuna to sit back and let them have their mini-adventure within the tunnels.
I told Setsuna on Roll20 that I am willing to speed up their section as the rest is occuring, if the trio of them can keep up w/ the posting and/or give me explicit instructions of how they are moving through the caverns, including chambers visited by marking as such on the map.
This way, the lizards have the potential to appear on scene just as the fighting is going down, so...leaving this here to get everyone's opinions on it.

Setsuna Kailani |

I was under the impression that the cave scene would play out like the barracks fire: a summary of events. Basically, "You successfully smoke the caverns, and the panicked lizards swarm the ogres. A bunch of them die. As Theo marches on the fort, several lizards spill out into the courtyard. Etc."
With Zoli busy and because of the other reasons I said in-character, I suggest that Team Cave just waits.

Zoli Tileani |

I'm up for speeding things up...and as it happens I'm free for speedy play from now till 3 hours from now, more or less.
Let's bring it!

Eugeni, you can attempt to steer Olympus' flight, though it will require Ride checks. Actually, you DO need to make checks anyway to use both hands in battle to shoot your bow, though it is only a DC 5 check. The bird took a double move this round, so you are at a -4 to your shooting rolls for this round.

Theodric Rothnt |

Yeah that wasn't gonna happen sadly. Work-related stuffs + my annoying neighbors stressing out my mother = distractions galore.
Not like I'm going to be doing much else than continue approaching anyways.

Theodric Rothnt |

I want to apologize for my silence, my mother and I found out our a##%#~! apartment managers are upping our monthly rent after our lease is up by nearly 25% (the f+&~?) and we've been trying to find a new place to move to.
Its seriously bullshit that this shitty ass, 1 bedroom apartment is worth over $700/month for the shitty management, shitty maintenance, and shitty neighbors with their shitty drinking problems and shitty music.
Apologies, I'm in a bad mood. Anyways, we're looking for a new place to move to so I might be delayed in posting a bit. Trying to keep up but you guys just post like crazy while I'm at work or asleep with a fever >.>

Doh! Good catch.
Chatted with Thron. As an unconfirmed crit it wouldn't have killed her...but if I burned a panache for +6 damage (which I would reasonably have done since I missed the first swing) that *does* kill her...so it's a minor retcon that leaves me with -1 panache in my pool.
