I decided to add Zoli's pony...and who knew that ponies were so much smarter than horses!
I love it. Rondo may be smaller than y'all's horses, but he's way better at INT-based skills, and who knows, maybe I can teach him to understand Halfling some day.

Thron, first, thanks for posting the stats (including caltrops). It totally helps me to better narrate in my post.
Second, Swashbucklers have a couple abilities that trigger after someone announces an attack but before they roll to hit (where I can choose to spend panache). How do you want to handle them? For now, I've declared in advance under what conditions I'd use them in Round 2, and pre-rolled, just in case.

DM Thron |

Let's do it this way since I will NEVER remember...
If I take an action that you have a class ability that can negate/counter it, on your turn make the appropriate roll and descriptive text, and if it succeeds, then disregard any follow up rolls that I make.
For example, say you have the ability to parry, and I've rolled an attack that hit you for 10 damage. You make a post detailing what you are doing, and if it successfully parries the attack, then you can ignore the damage that I rolled.
Sound good?

I'm going to be on a plane most of the day Sunday. 9 hour flight. No idea if I'll be able to post.
By the way, having the monster stats at the top of the page is way easier than navigating to another page for them. Well done.

I mean Sunday (at my departure point in the US. At my arrival point, Paris, France, it'll be Monday for some of it). Sorry about not posting last night, baby was angry and I didn't get time between getting home and going to bed (I work 12 hr shifts).

Thron,
The goblin fighting Kala lashes out again, but his sword glances off of her scale mail. Morythine is not as well armored, however, and the goblin fighting him opens up another cut, this time on his arm as he pulls it back from his attack.but,
Blue Goblin Attack vs Kala: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Yellow Goblin Attack vs Morythine: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
I'm assuming one is a typo, but not sure which.
Xamarath I doubt Zoli would know to check on this, but those color sprayed gobos aren't going to be down for too much longer, are they? You might want to let folks know they're only mostly dead.

DM Thron |

I know what happened. I wrote the post, then realized that Tsuto needed a con check and his action was before the goblins. So I put his roll up there, and it assigned what I had already rolled for the attacks to his con check. So it really should look as follows:
Tsuto Con Check: 6-3=3, now at -3 and not stable.
Kala attack: 17+2=19, miss
Morythine attack: 16+2=18, hit

Hoping we can deal with the rest before then; had intended to brain the buggers before they got back up. I'll give a yell in gameplay though. Assuming we dispatch those remaining, we still have 6 rounds before the shortest duration gets up.

![]() |

Kala will be opposed to braining them if we don't have any other threats around. She let it slide in the Sandpoint attack because we were still (more or less) directly under threat. It's unlikely that there's very many more goblins than this in the glassworks, so she'll prefer to tie them up and take them to the authorities, or jail.

Zoli Tileani |

Relevant to what to do with the disabled goblins:
What's the law here? If the sheriff was here, would he execute them? Haul them off to jail? Would they end up getting a trial? And (once they were found guilty) would goblins who'd murdered Glassworks workers be executed or given some other penalty (e.g. long-term incarceration)?
My hunch is that there isn't a prison system, and that execution is certainly in their future...but let me know.
Know(local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 >> in case this helps answer this Q.
Thanks!

DM Thron |

Considering these ones were caught essentially red handed, they would be executed. Tsuto's position amongst the nobility of Sandpoint would warrant he receive a trial, for formalities sake. And yes, you are correct in that Sandpoint has no proper prison. The Garrison has a few jail cells, but these are temporary holding cells used to hold criminals until their punishment is declared and performed.

DM Thron |

Please forgive the multitude of typos. Was posting from work on a phone between episodes of taking care of patients.
At any rate, I'm looking forward to the RP conundrum Zoli has put herself in. I got a feeling Kala won't be pleased, or even Morythine, for missing out on the chance to interrogate them.
Any who. Just got off my 6th 12 hour shift in a row. Going to sleep. Be back on later.

DM Thron |

Glad you're enjoying it. I plan on including things to more firmly connect each character to the story, similar to what I've done with Zoli's father (though not necessarily as tragic). However, some of those will take time to develop. For her, the opportune moment presented itself all too well immediately.

Xamarath Fingoth |

Sweet. I hope Xamarath's tailored bit involves a clutch of Thayvian invaders conquering Golarion.
...what?
Also, maybe I should let Crichton start keeping a Sad Bird Diary.

Eugeni Silva |

Remind me to never, ever, play a ranged character without precise shot from level 1. I know logically that it's actually my low rolls that are keeping me from doing anything (and Tsuto's stupid deflect arrows), but it feels like I'm being punished for not getting that feat somehow.

Zoli Tileani |

Hey Eugeni, I hate to say it but I think your luck may be worse than you thought it was:
If you attempt to move through an enemy’s space and fail the check, you lose the move action and provoke an attack of opportunity.
So I think you also are still in the square you started in. :-(

Eugeni Silva |

Well, I did provoke. But does it use up your move action? If not I would just walk past after provoking on the assumption that they don't have Combat Reflexes. I'll let Thron sort this one out. He has my attempted action, he can tell me what actually happens and I'll be fine with it.

Zoli Tileani |

God hates halflings.
...Just about fell out of my chair.
Zoli is at 14 now, which (with Chaldira Zuzaristan on her side) should be plenty.

Zoli Tileani |

In hindsight, wishing we'd taken the time to decide who has the potion of CLW and the ring of protection before we went down here!

![]() |

It's ok I got you. #BAMF :P
On another note, sorry my posting is slow I only have Internet at the hotel, and I only have my phone. So typing a lot is a PITA. I get back to the US (and cellular coverage) on the evening of the 10th. Another 8 hour flight that day though. Then PAX East that weekend and home Monday the 14th when normal posting shall resume.

Zoli Tileani |

FYI, I'm in Maui with my family until 4/21, so expect spotty posting (or some terse posts) for the next 10 days.

Xamarath Fingoth |

Considered mentioning Xam seeing you drink a potion and conveniently searching your limp form for more to force down your throat, but upon inspection you did so separate from our Thayvian friend.

Xamarath Fingoth |

Vial of light blue liquid: Potion of Cure Light Wounds
Composite Shortbow (+1 Strength)
An elaborate ring adorned with small rubies all along it's surface: Ring of Protection +1
Well-made thieves’tools(Appraise DC 20: 100 gp, Masterwork)
Flute with mithral filigree(Appraise DC 20: 100 gp, Masterwork)
Silver earrings (Appraise DC 20: 25 gp)
Journal
6 pouches of gold dust worth 50 gp each
8 pouches of silver dust worth 5 gp each
10 pp
Keys
Will go ahead and state that Xam has no designs on the ring. I wouldn't mind a lion's share of the gold dust for spell component purposes.

Eugeni Silva |

Well, the ring's useful for almost everyone frankly. I really wish Tsuto wasn't a halfling wannabe and used a longbow, but whatever. I'm not really interested in any of that treasure other than liquidating it all and buying a composite bow.
