If I may make a suggestion, the spell components for reincarnate cost 1,000 gp. Perhaps that could come out of the party fund, since I'll be using it for the group, not myself (since reincarnate happens automatically for me).

Zoli Tileani |

Absolutely! Did we actually use 1000 GP for Tzefira's reincarnation attempt? If so, I'd say we sold 1000 GP worth of her gear to buy the components. (I'm assuming the rest of her gear will go to her family, if there is any. If we hear from the mayor that there ISN'T...then I suppose we could assume she'd want it used to further the fight against the sibling of the lamia who slew her.)
Going forward, yes, lets keep some shared cash on hand for reincarnation components (maybe 2000 total). I just subtracted that 2000 + the CMW potions and wand from the loot. With those changes--reflected now in the loot tracker we each get a whopping 16,093.7 GP apiece!
I already marked that Morythine is interested in a new snakeskin shirt, and Zoli will take the ring of Jumping (unless someone else asks for it). Anyone else want anything from the loot tracker? If so, just subtract its resale cost (listed on the sheet) from your share of the loot.

Zoli Tileani |

And shall we assume some next of kin were found for Tzefira's stuff? Or should we loot her body dedicate her gear to avenging her against the sister of the lamia that slew her? (Not that we don't already have a crazy pile o' loot, just figured I'd ask...)

Zoli Tileani |

Some downtime plans:

Feat: Additional traits for
(1) lessons of chaldira (religion) aka ”The Force is strong with this one”
(2) maestro of the society (social)
...I'm totally down for some Downtime RP as well. (Setsuna & Riley, hopefully we can persuade you two to come back to Sandpoint with us. There's some great roasted venison we can introduce you to.)
Thron, if any of those purchases is something Xam can't do (or doesn't have time to make during this downtime) let me know and I'll revise.
Others, Xamarath is a friend (and former party member) in Sandpoint who will craft for us at 25% off.

DM Thron |

Note on the 25% discounted crafting: it WILL take time. So, sometimes it may not be a reliable source of item crafting. Not gonna give you guys frequent updates on how or when the campaign should progress. If you want downtime, you can by all means take it. But at some point, the campaign railroad will force your hands.*
This time though, you have some time before that happens. For example: you are currently (in game) in the first or 2nd week of October. You have until at least December before my railroad forces your hands on anything related to the main quest.
Though, if your downtime interests complete before then and you all decide you wanna proceed, that works too.
*: what this means, is that sometimes, you may have an item in order being crafted, but in game events pull you away before it is done! ERR ME GERRSH!

Eugeni Silva |

Either today or tomorrow I'm going to try to catch up on my games. Between changing diapers, feeding, helping my wife and Fallout 4 I have been quite distracted.

DM Thron |

We did lose a player, yes.
Before I say yes to accepting another, though, I have a few questions.
To you:
1) Are things squared away with your situation now? I know you had backed away purposefully to get life settled in. That should take priority.
2) Are you likely to vanish again? So far, you vanished two previous times in this campaign, once as Baern at the start, then as Darius.
3) What kind of character would you submit, if you did? The group is an eclectic mix ATM, but are lacking in the Arcane department noticeably.
To the group:
1) Do you guys want to bring in a 6th?
2) If yes, what kind of character role do you think the group needs most?
Final note: I don't mean to sound harsh in any of this, keep in mind the inability for verbal tone to come across via text. I REALLY enjoy RP'ing with you, and if it were purely up to me, I'd be fine with it. However, the other side of that coin is that I am responsible for keeping the game fun for everyone involved, and having players go missing frequently and require me to DMPC them can make it frustrating and annoying for those who are forced to wait for said DM interventions. That is why I am going to take myself out of it, and leave it to the entire group to decide.
To the current group:
Are you guys finished up in Magnimar? Ready to head back to Sandpoint?

DM Crustypeanut |

I'll message you in private about the first two things.
As for 3), I'm not entirely sure yet, though I do prefer me some arcane types. I'm certainly not going 'blaster wizard' like Darius - his role is overshadowed by the number of dps in the group so it'll be nothing like that.
I'll play around with a few ideas, test them in a combat setting and see what I'm interested in. Are Psychic classes allowed? Probably not, but let me know either way.

Zoli Tileani |

Heya Crusty! I've had great times playing with you. I second Thron's questions. All of us have occasional disruptions, but I'm hoping our group as a whole is able to keep a steady posting pace be the norm going forward. If you think you're at a good place for that, I know I'd enjoy playing with you again.
Thron, to your questions:
1) If Crusty hadn't volunteered I don't see any reason to go to six, but I'm totally open to going back to six in this case.
2) I'd suggest either a full or 2/3 arcane (or occult?) caster, maybe with a battlefield control or support bent...but I'm also a big believer in coming up with a character that one is going to have fun playing (and that'll be fun to play with) so that should come first, even if it goes in a somewhat different direction.
As far as Magnimar vs Sandpoint, I don't think I have anything else to do in Magnimar (since I plan to ask Xamarath to do some crafting for me rather than shopping here). Actually, I may do a little scene here, visiting a shrine/temple of Chaldira...just for RP fun to explain my new Additional Traits feat. That could always be retrospective too (and I don't know if I'll get to it soon) so I'm still fine with moving on.
Group, I've got a Q of my own for you: How interested are you in "downtime role play"? I'm down for taking some time for it, if folks want to do some. It could be a fun way to explore our characters. If Crusty joins in particular, it could be a good thing. That said, if folks aren't interested I'd just as soon start the next chapter soon, rather than letting posting slow down since we've just come back from a longish posting break. Whaddaya say?
EDIT: I just saw that (in the long time I wrote slowly wrote this) Crusty has already posted. Thron's call on Occult classes but I'm fine with that! I think they're interesting and would love to see several of them in play. It's funny to think that the this game started just before the ACG came out...which is part of why Zoli started as a bard and then transitioned into swashbuckler.

Riley Tobias |

Hi, Crusty! (I know we haven't played together yet, but we've chatted on Roll20)
I'm neutral to slightly in favor of bringing on another player, though I know it puts a lot more on the DM to adjust encounters for six players.
As for Zoli's question, I'm always up for downtime roleplay. I can envision a few scenes where Zoli helps out training Olympus to handle a rider (since he's not going to instantly jump from medium to large, but over a few weeks' time makes more sense). I think that would be fun.

Setsuna Kailani |

Some arcane support would be nice. The current plan was for Setsuna to fake it via the Dreamed Secrets feat. I am fine with full or 2/3.
I'm fine with roleplaying for a bit; I would like to have Setsuna bond with the group more. She is more than fine with leaving Magnimar. I'm also sure that Jelani would like some time to get settled.
That said, if we roleplay for a bit, we should probably set a date to have it all wrapped up.
So I have over 20,000 gp to spend? Nice. Time to get me a Ring of Invisibility.

DM Thron |

Ok, so of the 5, I see:
3 in favor of taking crusty on
3 in favor of some RP
2 in favor of heading back to Sandpoint.
So, tomorrow morning, I will write up a post moving you guys back to Sandpoint, but in game timeline, you all have plenty of time to RP/buy gear, so even if my "Back to Sandpoint" post comes first, feel free to post a retro-active Magnimar scene in a spoiler.
Crusty, get in touch with me via whatever means about a character.

DM Thron |

Same limitations I put on the others when they joined:
20 pt buy
Level 7
Standard Wealth By Level, no single item greater than 40% of funds.
Campaign trait is no longer required but is an option, especially if you wish to be from the area.
In your backstory, keep in mind you are all Level 7. This means you are likely well respected members of the community and among some of the movers and shakers.
I am open to working some interesting tie ins and such to the game if you are interested.
So if there is a secret aspect of your character you wanna run by me, hit me up.

Eugeni Silva |

Just getting leveled up now. I'm fine with Crusty coming back as well, long as he sticks around.

Eugeni Silva |

So I had 1170.21 GP in my pocket. Add in 16,093.7 GP and you get:
17263.91 GP
I want to upgrade my +1 headband of wisdom to a +2...does that cost 2000?
Belt of strength is another 4000
Leaves me with 11,263.91....any suggestions?

Morythine Ettes |

Hi all – Morythine is levelled, now he’s a 5th level hungry ghost monk/2nd level cleric of Zon-Kuthon. New powers are high jump and the ability to steal ki from his foes. He’s taken weapon focus (quarterstaff) and put ranks into Acrobatics, Ride, Sense Motive and Swim.
Returning to Sandpoint will allow him to claim the (hopefully finished) quarterstaff+1 and modified hungry decapitant from Xamarath.
He’ll claim the Snakeskin Tunic at 4,000 gp resale price (but not the Sihedron Medallion). With his buried savings, this leaves him with 12,987 gp and 7 sp to play with. Anything interesting in the shops of Sandpoint or Magnimar DM?
Thanks Zoli for sorting out the loot and welcome back Crusty. And most of all congratulations Eugeni for the new arrival.
I’m moving house and country to the tune of 9,174 km this week with limited Internet access, so although keen to roleplay downtime I might not be around. On the other hand, if I find myself in a wifi-equipped airport with some hours to kill I’ll be all in!

Zoli Tileani |

Morythine, where ya moving to?
Zoli takes Eugeni shopping! Just some basics:
- That bow of yours really wants to be +2 now. It told me. Unless there's some +1 equiv thing you want to add to it. Or if you want to save cash and make it +Holy when you get just a bit more cash.
- Saves: either the Sihedron medalion (if you want the bonus False Life) or just get a cloak of resistance +1 or +2
I'd also put a skill point into craft(bows) and then start making yourself some arrows of other materials (adamantine, silver, cold iron) and trick arrows (smoke, etc) at 1/3 cost. It just occurred to me recently that you can pay a caster 10 GP to get Crafter's Fortune cast on you when you're about to craft the MW component of something. That gets you to +10 (1 rank, 3 class, -1 INT, 2 mwk tool, 5 luck) to take 10 on the DC20 MW component.
EDIT: Yall should take a look at this statue. You need to see the detail view.
EDIT again: removed 20 GP for my next two months in Sandpoint.

Zoli Tileani |

OK, so it's none of my business but if you don't mind...I always wondered what had you living in Borneo...and now I totally want to know what has you moving from Borneo to Cairo. When you get the chance. If you don't mind.
In the meantime, I hope the move goes well!

Eugeni Silva |

17263.91 GP

Belt of strength is another 4000
Leaves me with 11,263.91....any suggestions?
17263.91
-4000 belt of giant's strength-4000 Bracers of Falcon's Aim
-3000 headband upgrade
-1000 cloak of resistance
-2000 ring of protection +1
-2000 amulet of natural armor
Leaving 1263.91 in the pot. Minus 20 for lifestyle...1243.91.

Zoli Tileani |

Really going to bed now but just occurred to me: no one in Standpoint is likely to recognize Eugeni since he's been reincarnated!

Riley Tobias |

Did anyone identify the spear? I notice the loot tracker calls it the Impaler of Thorns (Impaler of Tzefira?), and it's clearly costed more than a normal +1. If it's not sized for a large creature, Riley might be interested in claiming it.

Zoli Tileani |

Thron should correct me if needed, but here's Impaler of Thorns. (At some point I skipped RP of getting it ID'd but we'd either have found a reputable merchant to do so while we were selling our loot OR brought it back for Xamarath to ID.
I think the special ability is more interesting as a singleton fighting a group. You'd have to go charging in quite a bit ahead of us if you wanted to get to use it...but it *is* sized for a Medium creature and if you'd like it I'm sure it's yours.
