Yeah, it is, fear not, but starting this new book is important to me, so don't despair!

Ok, so October is almost finished. As the first month in the new Fiscal Year, October is a bit of a hell month for me. Getting new fiscal obligations established, re-defending budgets, and the biggest ones of all are writing employee annual reviews and such, all while keeping up the regular job requirements.
Monday should be the last day of hell month, both literally and figuratively, in addition to being Halloween.
So hopefully Tuesday I can really get things going again! Thanks for keeping the faith.

Port Peril sounds good for a band of pirates on the rise.
Port Peril it is, and all the better since that's the direction the AP wants you to go!
Alessandra
Good to be up and running again!
I've got 14k of spending to do, according to Gresham's handy spreadsheet (Grymp, any chance you could put the link to thin the campaign heading? Thanks) - I'll post something shortly.
Upgrading my belt of +2 Dex to +4 Dex costs (16,000-4000) = 12,000
Upgrading my +2 longbow to +3 costs (18,000-8,000) = 10,000
Decisions, decisions...

Mission accomplished. I'm unsure how much plunder you had, but someone had a list, it was like 14 points or so? Remember, you'll have saved at least 10 points, and just now spent 4 of that 10 to bribe your way into meeting the King.

Sorry guys, I was on a work trip last week, and had no change to post. Funny, I really thought I had posted a heads-up about my absence, but looks like that was one of the many things I forgot in all the hassle...
But I'm back now, just a little regular work to catch up.
Chaenath Woodsea
So.... in happier news. We're expecting our second child this Friday so I'm probably not going to be posting anything substantial for a while after!

Woot! Congrats! Have you picked the starting stats and class yet?

I'm catching up from the holiday weekend, but will press us forward to the next task in no time.

Now that we're in a big city, I'm looking for these items to purchase:
Belt of Incredible Dexterity (+2) 4,000 gp
Headband of Vast Intelligence (+2) 4,000 gp
MW Underwater light crossbow 370 gp
@GM: BTW, did you give us the PFS chronicles yet. My memory fails me...

Not yet, but I will!
All three of those items are available.

Things are good on my end. Mom and baby doing well and I should be able to get a bit more free time Mondayish? Definitely by first week of December. Will try and catch up and post here and there.
Grymp
Everybody make it through the holiday weekend ok and ready to kick this into gear?
Got nothing back from Gresham via email or PM.
Grymp
PFS Cert sent to Doc.
Chaenath, did you need one?
If Gresham returns, same question.
Chaenath Woodsea
Nah.
I've decided to do something pretty dumb though!
Throwing my hat into the GMing ring for at least a test run.
Any advice would be appreciated on how I do.

Hi, I'll be on vacation and travelling for the next three weeks. While all the hotels claim they have WLAN, I might have some issues connecting at times.
Alessandra
Alessandra, can you break down the +14 for me? Your sheet shows a +12, and when using Rapid shot, your attacks should all be at -2, so +10. If it really is +14, then they all hit, but if it is +12, or +10, then that last hit will miss.
No problem: +7 BAB, +5 Dex, +1 Bless, +3 Enhancement bonus, +2 Studied Target, -2 Deadly Aim, -2 Rapid Shot = +14
You didn't ask for damage, but it's +3 Enhancement bonus, +2 Studied Target, +1 Martial Focus, +4 Deadly Aim = +10
Basically, it's the Studied Target ability that makes her so deadly: +2 to hit and damage on every attack that turn. If that critical had come off in the earlier post, I'd have done so much damage - lucky for him that he won initiative!
Grymp
Alessandra never got the chance to study the target right?
If true, the last hit misses, and 2 less damage for each of the other arrows.
Alessandra
Crap, just remembered: it's a composite longbow, which means I add another +2 for Str.
So I should have done another 8 damage to him last round! My bad, I forgot.

Shopping List. Is all this okay?
scroll of dispel magic 375 <-- Add to Familiar
cackling blouse 6000
mithral buckler +1 2005
cloak of resistance +2 4000
scroll of detect secret door 25 <-- Add to Familiar
scroll of remove sickness 25 <-- Add to Familiar
And sell current cloak for 500.
Would have 2657.15 left.
Grymp
Blouse: 1d100 ⇒ 51
Buckler: 1d100 ⇒ 80
Cloak: 1d100 ⇒ 73
Bahh, a mithral buckler is no big deal, so yes, all of them are available!
Chaenath Woodsea
It is a +1 mithral buckler so it's a bit more than that :). I'm fine with not having it for a little longer. Chaenath's main method of defense is staying away from fights anyway.
Grymp
No, no, it's all good! You take that buckler and be happy with it!
Book 3 has a mithral devouring monster, so it will feed into my narrative later!
Grymp
Yeah, I think you do, weren't you guys tracking? Let's say you have 10 points?
I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Gresham was the new quartermaster so I happily ignored the details :) But I don't think there's a note of that in the loot sheet. I need to go through the posts.
